How are the All-Star resorts? Asking for the far-off future

My dream (and goal) is to one day go to Disneyworld for the first time, and I want to do it right. I wanna go there with my sibling and spend maybe a weekend or three days, and stay at one of the hotels in the park.

Realistically, I know there's no way I'll ever be able to afford the pricier resorts, and that's fine - as long as I can stay in a Disney hotel in the actual park, I'll be more than happy.

I've done research on the most affordable hotels within Disneyworld, and the All-Star ones are definitely what I'd be aiming for.

I just wanted to ask people who've been there and have experience with them, how are they? In terms of comfort, closeness to everything, food options, etc.

This is a far-off thing with no concrete plans, by the way. It's gonna be years easily before this trip could even become a feasible reality. I just wanted to get some insight from people who know!
