It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

I am officially on vacation again

:cool1:

I have Christmas music playing....don't judge me, it's cold, miserable and I felt like listening to it:lmao:

Nope. I'm gonna judge anyway. Xmas music before Halloween? You?

Shame I say! Shame!

jk

After our talk with the CM that this should be the day we attend SWW there would be no going back to the resort for a swim...

And it sure sounds like you made the right decision.

See Belle and Beast...the best part was when they walked by and stood there to wave to us while we ate...magical! I couldn't have wished for a better seat....our day just kept getting better and better!

Sounds like it was pretty great! :)

Both Shan and I ordered the 3 courses....but the exact same thing. We started with the lobster bisque.

If you both had the lobster bisque, why does it look like Shan has French Onion soup in front of her?

527.jpg

I don't know if there is any better bread .... I could eat this whole loaf by myself...again don't judge me:lmao:

Not this time. I have to hold myself back when there's good bread around.

530.jpg

This is, hands down, one of my favourite pictures of the trip....she is laughing and having a great time and I really believe I captured it here!

It's a great shot. :thumbsup2 And Remy in the background looks like he's the brunt of the joke. He looks like he's going, "What's so funny?" :lmao:

Sorry, let me just say I'm sorry. Once again, I was too busy getting caught up in all that is WDW and I forgot to take a picture of this before I devoured it.....:rolleyes1

I'm torn here... on the one hand I'm miffed that you didn't think of us, your loyal fans, first. On the other hand... it does look like it was too good to resist!

Guess you're forgiven.

Turns out is was a fire that had actually shut down the interstate

I first thought, "Oh no! What part of Disney is on fire?!" Did you think that too? Or was it obvious that it wasn't a Disney fire?

The heat was so intense that we decided we would head for the buses.

Again??? No GGS, again?????

Have a little song and dance much to my daughters embarrassment! You'd think she'd be used to me by now!

:lmao:

Changing the sand carving from Chimpazees to Brave!
....I have so much respect for people who have artistic talent,

I agree. So much time and effort put into a medium that will be gone in a short while.

Some, shorter than others. I watched a video the other day of a reporter talking to a guy who was just putting the finishing touches on a huge, intricate sand castle... She stepped up on a cooler to point out some features... and then fell on it.

Funny, yet horrifying all at the same time.

We spent the rest of the evening in our room and roaming around the resort! I didn't take the camera as we literally did it on a whim! It was an end to a great day!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Glad you kept your ADR at Chefs so that I could see your pictures....well, what food there was in your pictures :lmao::lmao::lmao: We are going in December and we've never been and I'm really looking forward to it. Did Jasmine have the French Onion Soup (I thought I caught a glimpse of it in the picture)? That is the soup I really want to try.

Christmas music? Seriously? It's not even Halloween yet. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

We listen to Christmas music year-round, so no judgement here! Doesn't it always put you in the best mood??

That lunch looks indulgent and yummy. And since I just have a bland salad with no good stuff on it for lunch today, I'm a little jealous!

I would freak out if I saw a fire at Disney, no joke. I'd be worrying all day that it was in another park, perhaps one of my favorite attractions on fire! How long until you figured out what was actually going on?

I LOVE that picture of pure happiness on Shanleigh's face! No matter how old a child gets, they will always be your baby, and making them happy is priority #1! The whole trip would be worth it just for that one moment!

:cool1::thumbsup2

Nope. I'm gonna judge anyway. Xmas music before Halloween? You?

Shame I say! Shame!

jk

I had a feeling you would....I know, you'd think I could have at least waited until after our birthday's right...but no! I am trying to get as organized as possible for the holidays before I go back to work that it just seemed like the right thing to do....you're not buying that for one second are you?:lmao:

And it sure sounds like you made the right decision.

I think so.....it was a tough one but I think the right one!

Sounds like it was pretty great! :)

It was amazing!

If you both had the lobster bisque, why does it look like Shan has French Onion soup in front of her?

:rolleyes2 cause clearly I'm getting older and even though there is proof in a picture, I clearly lost my mind! It was the french onion sound:rolleyes1

Not this time. I have to hold myself back when there's good bread around.

Our plan tomorrow morning is get up, hit DeLuca's for warm bread, cheese and cold meats for brunch! Can't wait!! I love that place!

It's a great shot. :thumbsup2 And Remy in the background looks like he's the brunt of the joke. He looks like he's going, "What's so funny?" :lmao:

That's exactly how he looks!

I'm torn here... on the one hand I'm miffed that you didn't think of us, your loyal fans, first. On the other hand... it does look like it was too good to resist!

Guess you're forgiven.

Whew! I don't know what was wrong with me on this trip....I kept forgetting....Shanleigh kept reminding me and she got really good at it the following week.

I first thought, "Oh no! What part of Disney is on fire?!" Did you think that too? Or was it obvious that it wasn't a Disney fire?

We did think that! I kept saying to Shanleigh which way are we facing, of course we had no clue...south, north, who knew? I didn't think it was obvious, I thought it was something on fire behind the scenes in Epcot!

Again??? No GGS, again?????

Oh no no...I had one:rolleyes2 I was walking with it, just forgot to mention it!

:lmao:

I agree. So much time and effort put into a medium that will be gone in a short while.

Something we would see on Funniest Home Videos :lmao:

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading!

Oh....in December, it's such great comfort food! Yes, you're right, I'm a big loser, she was having the french onion soup and loved it! She considers herself quite a connisseur of it too:rolleyes1

I know....what can I say....my addiction to all things Christmas is as bad as my WDW addiction:confused3 I was thrilled last night when our Shopping Channel had Christmas stuff for sale, but I was good, I was only watching because the sets are all decorated now!

We listen to Christmas music year-round, so no judgement here! Doesn't it always put you in the best mood??

Yay...glad we have the same addiction! Always puts me in a good mood! As a matter of fact, I have a disc in the car so when I pick up Shanleigh today it'll be playing...and she'll be thrilled:p

It was so good, but I think better in the winter, it was quite heavy! But believe me, I enjoyed it anyways:lmao:

You're right...and I can still picture that little girl from our very first trip and it still brings tears to my eyes.

I am trying to get as organized as possible for the holidays before I go back to work that it just seemed like the right thing to do....you're not buying that for one second are you?

Nope. :rotfl:

Our plan tomorrow morning is get up, hit DeLuca's for warm bread, cheese and cold meats for brunch! Can't wait!! I love that place!

Haven't been there for a while. Every now and then I'd head downtown and Ruby & I would go there (upstairs) for lunch (Margherita pizza). But it went downhill a year or two ago and we haven't been back since.

Phew! Thank goodness. I was starting to wonder what happened to the Jacquie I know.

Wow that makes my lunch look really bad.

We have to try there our next trip. We've been to the patisserie, but not the restaurant.

I listened to Christmas music all day yesterday! And I asked DH to clean the apartment and take down the fall decorations while I'm in WDW for my bday present so I could put up xmas decorations right when I get home! Christmas is the best. So excited that you get to spend almost Christmas there next year! Hopefully it all works out!

Nope. :rotfl:

Yeah....didnt think you would:rolleyes1

We have never eaten upstairs although I did have them cater our staff lunch last year and it was amazing! I love the deli and the fresh bread/buns!

Phew! Thank goodness. I was starting to wonder what happened to the Jacquie I know.

Don't you worry, she's alive and kickin:goodvibes

Mine too :lmao:

Girl, if we were going to be there at the same time we would go with you guys and then would HAVE to go outside and have a GGS...it is our tradition after all:rolleyes1

I can't believe your trip is coming so quickly...probably doesn't feel that way to you tho:rolleyes:

I hope everything works out too to get us there! When I put my mind to something tho, I'm pretty persistent....I know, you're probably shocked by that!

So this post brings us to Saturday May 26 and a very relaxing morning! We awoke to a beautiful blue sky with not a cloud in sight so we decided we would take full advantage of the pool. We went and grabbed breakfast first, headed back to the room, called home to make sure everything was ok and changed into our suits!
541-1.jpg

Pretty sure this is the only shot I have of either of us at this pool! It was such a great morning and there was no one in the pool or for that matter around it but us! We decided around one o'clock that we should head up to our room and get ready for our late afternoon at Epcot!

It was while we were in our room getting ready for our evening out that we both realized we should probably have used a little more sunscreen! We were a little on the red side! Oh well, no time to whine ....gotta go!
543.jpg

Love this picture....I don't mean to sound like a broken records but we were having the time of our lives....burnt, but the time of our lives
544-1.jpg

Clearly my girl hadn't lost her sense of humour yet either!
546-1.jpg

The mist off of the fountain felt so great!
547-1.jpg

Our mission was WS...no rides, just wander around WS starting here! I know you guys know where we were headed....I needed a margarita!
548-1.jpg

I needed a drink and someone needed to eat. That kid can eat 10 times a day but like a bird at each sitting:lmao: This was good but I limited myself to a few chips as it was super rich and we all know what that means....moments on the lips, lifetime on the hips!
549-1.jpg

All I thought about all morning was having a jalapeno margarita .... it's all I wanted....that is until I saw a new flavour.....COFFEE!!! After a GGS, coffee is my drink of choice! I wasn't expecting it to be slushy but it was sooo yummy!
550-1.jpg

Shanleigh said I looked so happy that she had to take my picture with my drink! We had a table beside us that were pretty hammered! two guys and two girls and one of the girls was not looking so good. I think she probably needed water, not more tequila and they ended up having to take her out. I felt really bad for her because she clearly was ill and no one with her really cared.
551-1.jpg

We stayed in The Ditch for about an hour and decided since we were in Mexico we should do the ride so we did! It's been a few years but being out of the sun was exactly what we needed.Having a sunburn is a great opportunity to walk thru all the stores in WS....everytime the sun hit the burn....OUCH!!!
552-1.jpg

I can't believe we have never spent more time in these stores!
553-1.jpg

Shanleigh purchased some more jewellery in Italy and then we went to grab a shot here but there was no one around to take one of both of us so just my girl! I know it's hard to see but the fronts of her legs are quite burnt....thank goodness for solarcaine!
554-1.jpg

Then mama had to go in the wine store for a bottle of heavenly goodness! The last time my sister, all our girls and I went to the states we each went to the store and got a bottle each to bring home...they didn't make it the weekend!
555-1.jpg

After hearing so many great reviews about the Voices of Liberty we decided since there was a show starting in 20 minutes we would wait and watch them....I was left speechless! They are beyond amazing and I am so happy we stopped to listen and then we figured since we're hear we may as well go upstairs for the show! Again, amazing!
556-1.jpg

We continued our way around WS, passed the GGS stand, I know, right! But I thought it was so hot, I was so thirty it would not be a good combination so we just headed for our ADR! Decided to people watch from across the way!
557-1.jpg

I was surprised that it was actually bearable to sit outside here but we did and it was great!
559-1.jpg

Hadn't quite started to fill up yet!
561-1.jpg

We had a lovely young lady named Amelia that was looking after us on this fine evening and the first thing I wanted was a shandy and a picture of us together....she took care of both.
562-1.jpg

This tasted so yummy....I don't think there is any better drink on a hot afternoon!
563-1.jpg

It's been a few years since we've been here so we both needed to look over the menu and Amelia told us there was no hurry....so we didnt' rush! I ended up getting the cottage pie which was delicious...reminded me of the ones my mum used to make!
564-1.jpg

Shanleigh decided on the trout which she said was delicious and she cleaned her plate...something that very rarely happens!
566-1.jpg

We decided to split dessert and I'm glad we did, it was just enough without being too filling. These were little orangy, biscuity, chocolatey covered ..... if you've ever had a Pim's that's what these tasted like! Very good!
567-1.jpg

We decided that we would take the boat to DHS and catch the HyperSpace Hoopla at SWW!!
570-1.jpg

We were by no means anywhere near the stage but it didn't matter, this was well worth battling the crowds and we would do it again in a heartbeat! It was hilarious! When we got home we youtubed it and cracked up all over again!
572-1.jpg

If you are every forunate enough to take in SWW, make sure you don't miss this....it's the best!!!!

It took us over an hour to get back to the hotel that evening but we didn't care. There were some great people at the bus stop and everyone was in a great mood, talking about their days and the highlights! Not gonna lie tho, I could've fallen asleep on the bus that evening!

Your vacation sounds just perfect...relaxing and still doing your favorites!

Sunburns are the worst!! Hope the pain wore off quickly.

I had to Google what a shandy was...no idea! And if it truly is beer and ginger ale then you can keep it!
I do, however, want to try the jalapeno margarita! Glad you enjoyed the coffee drink!

Great update!

WDisneymom Shandy in the UK is Lager topped up with lemonade, no ginger ale in it .

Shan's bikini is adorable!

Sounds like another great day!

I will have to tell Dale about the coffee margarita. He hasn't tried that one yet. He did toast you while we were there last month :goodvibes

Hope the sunburns weren't too bothersome the next day!

Relaxing morning! Gotta love those, even in WDW.

Ugh, not using enough sunscreen at the pool is the worst. I have to use it like every 20 minutes otherwise I literally catch on fire. True story. :lmao:

Wait.....a coffee margarita?! That's it. I need one now.

Rosa Regale is my favorite wine too! The first time I had it, it came in a gift box that my parents got me for my graduation (college! College graduation.....just had to clarify) from the Disney flower company at the resort.

You are absolutely right. Cold beer on a hot afternoon is so perfect. Apparently they are going to introduce frozen draft beer at the Japan pavilion. I'm so trying one. It's fascinating.

Looks like a great lunch.

Love it, a relaxing day at Epcot and then the hyperspace hoopla! I YouTube that every year, I have them all saved in my favourites. Soooo funny, I would love to see one live!
Lunch looks yummy too!

Great update!

It really was...although we missed my sister and her family terribly we still had a ball!

The solarcaine was a miracle worker....we also have the type of skin that is red one day and brown the next...thank goodness!

I've never had it with ginger ale, but I make it at home with either sprite and beer or Brisk lemonade and beer....I can't drink beer on it's own, but I do enjoy this little puppy on a hot day!

She said thank you! She calls it her Katy Perry bathing suit :lmao:

We were thinking of you guys while we were there let me tell you. The obnoxious table was where we were sitting last year....it was way more fun with all of you! I just know we'll be there again together one of these trips!

I won't be that stupid again:thumbsup2 Trying to walk around in the sun was brutal that day! All was good the following day tho!

I need one now too...it's only 924am but you're ok with that right?

See....kindred spirits we are....well at least with WDW and Rosa Regale!

Oh really now?? I'll have to try that next trip!

Great lunch it was!

Love it, a relaxing day at Epcot and then the hyperspace hoopla! I YouTube that every year, I have them all saved in my favourites. Soooo funny, I would love to see one live!

You would love it! We couldn't get the song out of our heads for days:lmao:

So this post brings us to Saturday May 26 and a very relaxing morning! We awoke to a beautiful blue sky with not a cloud in sight so we decided we would take full advantage of the pool.

There it is! There’s the pool day!

Pretty sure this is the only shot I have of either of us at this pool! It was such a great morning and there was no one in the pool or for that matter around it but us!

Shan looks so relaxed it’s almost… decadent. :)

It was while we were in our room getting ready for our evening out that we both realized we should probably have used a little more sunscreen! We were a little on the red side! Oh well, no time to whine ....gotta go!

Whoopsie!

Love this picture....I don't mean to sound like a broken records but we were having the time of our lives....burnt, but the time of our lives

That’s great!

Our mission was WS...no rides, just wander around WS starting here!

That’s my Disney Dream. Well one of two, but the other one already happened so this is it now. Someday, I will make this happen!

I know you guys know where we were headed....I needed a margarita!

A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

This was good but I limited myself to a few chips as it was super rich and we all know what that means....moments on the lips, lifetime on the hips!

Does that mean that my hips are located around the area of my belly button?

We had a table beside us that were pretty hammered! two guys and two girls and one of the girls was not looking so good. I think she probably needed water, not more tequila and they ended up having to take her out. I felt really bad for her because she clearly was ill and no one with her really cared.

You’re in the happiest place on the planet… do you really need to get hammered to have a good time? I dunno, maybe I just don’t get it.

We stayed in The Ditch for about an hour and decided since we were in Mexico we should do the ride so we did!

Haven’t done that one. Did you enjoy it?

Shanleigh purchased some more jewellery in Italy

Wasn’t she planning on going to Italy? We’re hoping to possibly see Venice next summer… but we’ll see.

and then we went to grab a shot here but there was no one around to take one of both of us so just my girl! I know it's hard to see but the fronts of her legs are quite burnt....thank goodness for solarcaine!

Actually, I can see it. Doesn’t look too bad, though.

After hearing so many great reviews about the Voices of Liberty we decided since there was a show starting in 20 minutes we would wait and watch them....I was left speechless! They are beyond amazing and I am so happy we stopped to listen

Really! I always wondered if that was more of a USA patriotic show which might not come off so well to someone from another Country. Guess I’ll have to put that on the list too! :)

We continued our way around WS, passed the GGS stand,

:faint:

I know, right! But I thought it was so hot, I was so thirty it would not be a good combination so we just headed for our ADR!

Welllll…. All right. But still!! You WALKED BY a GGS!

I ended up getting the cottage pie which was delicious...reminded me of the ones my mum used to make!

Which is why I’ll never order one. Mom used to make Shepard’s Pie (Really Cottage Pie, but that’s what she called it) and I hated it with a passion. So now, no matter how good it might be, I’ll never order it.

We were by no means anywhere near the stage but it didn't matter, this was well worth battling the crowds and we would do it again in a heartbeat! It was hilarious! When we got home we youtubed it and cracked up all over again!

Sure sounds like a fun day! Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes:

There it is! There’s the pool day!

Finally, I know! I actually preferred being out there in the morning and then heading to the parks in the afternoon. I know that'll never fly with my sister's girls as they do love their rides, but when it's just us...this is perfect!

Shan looks so relaxed it’s almost… decadent. :)

Isn't it? That's how we felt when we spent the afternoon at your place too! She made me promise that one day we'll get a pool like yours.....:lmao:, that was my response! Unless of course the lottery comes our way!

Whoopsie!

Yup, and guess who got the blame of it....moi!

That’s great!

:thumbsup2

That’s my Disney Dream. Well one of two, but the other one already happened so this is it now. Someday, I will make this happen!

It's our favourite thing to do now at WDW! I could spend everyday there and not get bored! I love to go right at 11 when it opens, the crowds are low, you can just wander and we love it!

A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.

It was a great way to spend an hour and a half out of the sun that's for sure....and throw in a coffee margarita....who am I to argue?

Does that mean that my hips are located around the area of my belly button?

Well, for me at least, it's anywhere from right below the chin until just above the kneecaps:rolleyes1

You’re in the happiest place on the planet… do you really need to get hammered to have a good time? I dunno, maybe I just don’t get it.

I'm with you...I don't get it! I enjoy a casual cocktail, one, maybe two tops that's it! These people were outta control and all I kept thinking is if she hurls Shanleigh will be done for the rest of the day. Fortunately, they had enough sense to get her outta there!

Haven’t done that one. Did you enjoy it?

We actually did enjoy it...it kinda reminds me of it's a small world.

Wasn’t she planning on going to Italy? We’re hoping to possibly see Venice next summer… but we’ll see.

Yes, we're hoping when she graduates to go that September but we'll see. I love Venice, it was my favourite place when we were in Italy...but then again Rome was kinda cool too. But definitely Venice was our fav! How lucky are you guys....Shan wants you to know she's jealous and expects tons if you go!

Actually, I can see it. Doesn’t look too bad, though.

The $8.99 I spent on solarcaine was the best money I spent on that whole trip!

:lmao: That good, huh? I’ll have to make a note of that.

Yup....that good, but only if you like a sweet sparkling wine. I don't love the taste of alcohol and this is right up my alley! I like fruity cocktails as I'm sure you've figured out by now:rolleyes1

Really! I always wondered if that was more of a USA patriotic show which might not come off so well to someone from another Country. Guess I’ll have to put that on the list too! :)

It's very patriotic, however, their voices are magical and well worth the visit to see them. It actually made me a little weepy

:faint:

:lmao:

Welllll…. All right. But still!! You WALKED BY a GGS!

All I could think about was something to quench my thirst and I knew that one thing is a shandy!

Which is why I’ll never order one. Mom used to make Shepard’s Pie (Really Cottage Pie, but that’s what she called it) and I hated it with a passion. So now, no matter how good it might be, I’ll never order it.

Was it her cooking that you didn't like or the actual pie ingredients:confused3

Sure sounds like a fun day! Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes:

Great day and I hope to have another update done later today or tomorrow!

That's how we felt when we spent the afternoon at your place too!

Aww... Glad you guys had a good time. We sure enjoyed having you over.

She made me promise that one day we'll get a pool like yours.....:lmao:, that was my response! Unless of course the lottery comes our way!

I hear ya. I told Ruby that there was no way in heck (I may have used a stronger word there :rolleyes1) that we were going to get one. I told her that it would absolutely not, definitely not, over my dead body, no way Jose, happen.

So of course, we got one.

It's our favourite thing to do now at WDW! I could spend everyday there and not get bored! I love to go right at 11 when it opens, the crowds are low, you can just wander and we love it!

Sounds amazing.

But definitely Venice was our fav! How lucky are you guys....Shan wants you to know she's jealous and expects tons if you go!

Shan expects tons? Tons of what? How am I supposed to get tons of it if I don't know what "it" is??? :confused3

Yup....that good, but only if you like a sweet sparkling wine. I don't love the taste of alcohol and this is right up my alley! I like fruity cocktails as I'm sure you've figured out by now

Well, I like white, but not (usually) red. I assume it's a red?

Was it her cooking that you didn't like or the actual pie ingredients

Possibly both. I think it had peas in it... which she likes to overcook until they're basically mush. Plus it was dry... I seem to remember that too. I take it it's not supposed to be, right?

Queen! You mean to tell us that you aren't spending your entire vacation updating this wonderful little TR?! Shocking!!
