Is there a way to compare ...?

Hey DIS'ers!

Really quick question for the general DVC braintrust here:

I am wanting to rent a Standard View Deluxe Studio Villa at VGC - I want to know what the comparable rack rate would be on disneyland.disney. If a category would be most comparable (like Room vs Room with Club-Level Service, etc) what would it be?

Thanks in advance!!!

Daddy Cater

You'll be lucky to get anything at VGC by renting.

We used our own non-VGC points to stay there last year. Honestly, I liked the Paradise Pier room better, paid with cash the year prior. The pool is a nice benefit at VGC, but getting the coveted World of Color view, was too small a chance, and being from the East Coast, staying in the room to watch the show, in the Paradise Pier room was priceless. Both are walking distance to both parks. It's a real advantage to DL.

How so?

We have stayed at the Disneyland Hotel before - the walk from that to the front was an eyeopener for us.

There aren't many members who own at GCV who rent out their points. You have to wait until seven months out. Then it can be pure luck to get the days you need for any villas there.

We already have one booked - we're just curious to know what we have and how it compares to rack rates on Disney's website.

There isn't an exact comparison. The views with DVC can be comparable to the Premium or else kind of a Deluxe partial view/woods view hybrid. DVC has 1 queen and 1 double sofa bed so nothing matches exactly. It won't compare to a club level because you don't get the lounge with DVC. But the GC rooms are generally a little smaller square footage. I'd probably compare to the deluxe partial view and call it close.
