NANCY! Happy Birthday. I toasted to you the other night from the middle of the northern Maine woods. It was a shot, you would have approved!
LisaV--OMG, I am L.O.V.I.N.G. your posts! Totally making me laugh. And at Nancy's expense, mind you! (But yeah, I think Becca, Nate, and Seth are awesome, too!)
Lyz--Ok, I know that YOU are excited about fair time, but not me. It means you are gone for far too long!
Dawn--WB. Glad soccer was good!
Paula--OMG, your goddess crowns are piling up! What are you doing with them all?!!?
Ronda--challenge stuff SHOULD be posted on Fridays. YOU are the only one who is on the ball. Ahem....to the rest of you slackers!
Liz--where? Why?
Cathie--loved that your brain is clicking! That is the biggest battle, right there!
Stephanie--woo hoo! Keep walking that pup!
As for me--Things are fine with exercise, right on track. Food, eh. Been better, been worse. It is always hard when camping. The way we camp, we NEED to eat. A lot. We just get ravenous from the physical exertion, the adrenaline, and just being outside 24/7. So tomorrow I will get back to being OP. Still adding up my miles, but I had a great 4-mile run on one day, we did a family bike ride another day (just 6 miles, but that is a lot for the kids), I still have to calculate the mileage of paddling, and then 10 miles worth of hiking, though not all at once. So it was definitely a physical week-end.
And Nancy--yup, we got the full 4" of rain. For those that don't know, 4" of rain is equivalent to 2.5 FEET of snow. It is insane. We were dry, (

natch...our wilderness engineers earned their keep this trip as well), but the mud was brutal. In hindsight, no, I would not have done this trip. With the rain, it just wasn't worth it. But again, the kids LOVED this trip, so at least that was something.
Now, just getting ready for my husband to leave tomorrow morning. Helping him getting unpacked and re-packed, etc. Check back in later.
POST those challenge results from your first week!
