Surprised because when I casually asked MS about the timing (I was in a rush to use banked points) I was told not to expect anything over the weekend. And I know most places do not conduct business on Sundays and especially after 4 or 5. It's great tho! I'm just very curious. The inner workings of DVC are an enigma wrapped in a mystery!

I'm all over these boards but never really come to this Closing thread so disregard if this is something that's already been discussed but I just got my latest resale contract loaded and email received at 6 pm EST tonight. If I was a Las Vegas oddsmaker Sunday evening would be almost a million to one chance of the "when during the week will DVC load the contract" bets.

Is this normal? I'm super happy by the way and in no way complaining! But really shocked. Do they input the info in the computers on Friday and it takes their Commodore 64s that long to process it? Is the person in charge of the inputting looking for a reason to get away from their family for a while and head down to the office to get some work done before the week starts?

Interestingly enough - the contract that I sold (ref #7636, above) must have loaded for the buyer over the weekend also. The points were in my account yesterday afternoon, but they have been removed as of this morning (Mon.- 8:43 am)

I received an email with my contract number and then an email with an activation code, however I do not have my club id. How long does it take to get the club id?

The first email usually included the Club ID. If you have account and activation code, and membership number you shoood be able to contact MS to get it.

Why??? Apparently there was an "error" on my SSR and my sellers never signed and it wasn't sent to ROFR like they told me.

It's been 5 days now since they accepted my offer and I'm worried that something is wrong Obviously.

I've never had a seller not sign the contract in the same day because of how easy it is thru email.

I am starting to get sad thinking this was too good to be true and irritated that the sellers may be planning to back out and waste my time when I could be bidding on other contracts.

I'm being left in the dark and I just text my broker now to ask what is going on. Has anyone had a seller take a week or more to sign the initial contract?? I feel like this is going to take FOREVER if they go thru with it ugh. Resale can be really frustrating.

I’m glad you got an apology, I got ghosted and then was fed lies I was on day 55 of rofr, I called Disney myself as my agent was not getting back to me at all, once I signed everything and it was sent over to rofr I never heard back from her. I called Disney myself, apparently my contract wasn’t even submitted over to rofr until a month later, which meant I still had about 5 days left to go. Finally heard back from my agent and she said she doesn’t know what happened Disney has been slow, she reached out to them and is waiting to hear back. Two days later she texted me and said that I had been approved. It just really makes me mad that they’re blaming it on Disney, when they didn’t even submit it until a month later. I was going to call them out on their lies, but I got my contract for an amazing deal!!! It passed so that’s what really mattered. I just don’t like being lied too lol

Haha! I'm about to buy a small Poly direct while waiting and I just made a long post about it. I don't know why buying a small Poly direct feels so satisfying, but it does.

Im so sorry that happened to you. There are so many things that can happen with resale which is why im always on top of them, even if it is a bit much lol, but still if they say they're sending to ROFR I mean we cant see it so we're going to believe it!

I had no idea you can call Disney and if it was sent, very smart of you to do that! Im glad mine was caught in 10 days and yours turned out okay! I dont wanna "rock the boat" either because its a good deal. My sellers were supposed to sign their closing docs last week so I already emailed and asked my closing agent to make sure they did. I think all my follow up has ensured that my contracts have gone as smooth as possible, but I've never questioned them about ROFR, in the future I will call Disney too and make sure it was sent

Studios in the long houses or one bedroom in the tower. I have 50 points there already, but would like to get there annually and I will need more if I don't want to use my California points.

No I haven't. I'll be in the long houses in August. I'm actually overly sensitive to the smells of new furnishings. I stayed in VDH when it was brand new and had a horrible headache when I woke up. I'm always waiting for the new smell to be gone before I stay anywhere now.
