In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

LisaZ - when do the new classes start?

They start next week -- I'll try not to be perky, okay Kat? :rotfl: So my goal is for everybody to hate and curse at me.....okay, check!

Good Morning Everybody!

Um, I would like a large white chocolate and almond mocha with extra sugar and extra fat please.

Coming right up. Hope your day improves.

You'll be happy to know that I had a sad-looking tomato, somewhat past its prime, sitting on my counter. So instead of throwing it away, I chopped it up and threw it into my scrambled eggs this morning. Just doing my part for those neglected veggies.....:) And I am now full of protein and ready to go for the day.

Have a good day everybody -- try to stay warm. :flower3:

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!:lmao:
CSI time was excellent as always!
For my treat I had an Outrageous Orange Hot Chocolate drink, and I put some marshmallows in it and some whipped cream on the top! It was lovely! :lovestruc

Sounds like you had a great night. Yeah!!!

Good Morning Everybody!

Um, I would like a large white chocolate and almond mocha with extra sugar and extra fat please. So run down today. Does anybody have a magic energy pill?? I would like a case, please.

From what I heard yesterday, our stress of not having enough management members is going to slow down by the end of next month with the addition of 2 managers and 1 supervisor. I want to believe it, but we have been going through this crazy nonsense for well over a year.

On the diet scene, I am on, but the scale is just not moving. I so wish I could have an hour extra each day just so I could exercise.

Good grief, I am whining alot today. Later Taters!

Amiee - whining is good from time to time, especially if it keeps you from ordering that yummy sounding drink you described. Hang in there and I hope things get better.

Sorry about the filing! Sounds awful.

Jesse seems to know what he is doing. Sets until muscle failure is a GOOD thing!! Granted, I am saying that as I need both hands to leverage off the chaise tonight...

Oh, and... being that this is voluntary and all, well, *you* are the masochist!!

Going through all of those files is just going to suck. Gotta love litigation right? The attorney's want everything and since we cut all of the admin support people, I get to do it - yeah! I am so treating myself to a massage when that work is done.

Oh, and Paula. What Kat and Lyz are saying is that when you inflict pain on yourself, you are a masochist. When you inflict pain on someone else, you are a sadist. So YOU, my dear, are the masochist since you do this voluntarily! :rotfl2: And Jesse is the sadist because you PAY him to be one! :lmao: :rotfl:

Yes - I figured out my error in my semantics. oops... Yes, I pay for this abuse and yes I am asking for this abuse. While technically, I don't think I am enjoying the pain that comes with it, but I will totally own the fact that I am loving the results of it all. Maybe I am a little sick in the head. :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone,
Paula

Ronda--don't sweat it that you couldn't do W4D1. You have two choices: repeat week 3 and try week 4 again next week. Or stay in week 4 until you can make it through. You can do it! If I can run, anyone can...I swear.

Ronda - no worries about that C25K...take it slow. That thing kicked my a$$! You are doing far better than I did.

Quickly checking in - C25K again this morning. w4d1 revisited and I made it. A couple shots of orange juice and reducing the speed really helped. As an added plus I’m not coughing afterwards. Ah, the little things.

I’d been doing the runs at 5.5 mph. By the end of the last five minute run it was 5 even, but it was still a run ; ) I may put some extra days in this week though. Every week I cannot imagine running for more than X minutes. Yet I do. It feels good.

I’ve been tracking food, too. It really works to bring me back to focus on food. I get lazy, stop tracking and stop losing. It’s a simple equation ; )

I'll be back later.

Ronda

Paula, I am a masochist too. Obviously, considering my self-inflicted pain/soreness today!!

Well, and we don't even come close to freakshow E over there, so we can take solace in that, right?

Great job on the running!

Do you find that tracking food helps you get your workouts in and vice versa, too? It seems to be all linked up to me.

Oh, and Lyz...

I am in such a good mood today :dance3:

I went to the gym this morning, per usual. Started my workout in a very ho-hum manner. Warmed up on the elliptical. Headed over to do some strength work, when something caught my eye. Something red. :confused3

We got new *toys*!!! OMG I was so excited. Erin had told me there was some new equipment coming in, but I didn't know what or when. Several stability balls (if you recall, we've been waiting for them since the gym opened in October) Some new bars for the machines. :cool1: Totally changed my workout plan. I had so.much.fun. :yay:

And the folks who don't know me, just looked at me like I was completely insane :crazy2: Who cares. Not me.

Anyway, it was such a great start to my day. And the sun is out. And it's NOT windy! Chilly still, but not bad.

<sigh> I'm a happy girl today :hippie:

Absolutely. We can so take solace in that. I haven't reached the point where I am doing more sets while waiting for others to wake up.

Yes, Ronda - great job on sticking with the C25K. Way to show week 4 who's boss.

Yay on the new equipment!!! Love it when I get to try something new. Makes the workout a little more interesting.

Today is flying by. Way too much to do and way too little time to get it done in... I think I am going to need a day off soon.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: I love your kids.

Yep. They're somethin' all right  I have no idead where they get that little mischevious streak :rolleyes1 They just thought it was so danged funny.

Jesse gets so frustrated seeing people slacking their way through their workouts. He calls it a waste of a membership when he sees it. I so don't want to be on the receiving end of one of those comments. Got to do my trainer proud, you know?

Last night on part 1 of BL, Jillian went off about her new black team at one point. She was saying things like "I don't care if you do the work or not. It's not like *I'M* the one with all the weight to lose. If you don't want to do it, don't. But when you get sent home it's your own fault". Totally agree with her.

I can certainly understand that everyone has different expectations for their workouts. When I'm at the gym, I'm there to WORK. My time is very precious to me, and if I spend it all chatting, lazing around, I'd never see any improvements. I'm definitely of the "work smarter, not harder" mindset these days.

But. We have this *friend* who is single, and works out of his home most of the time. For him, it is "social hour" when he goes to the gym. Now, I don't mind talking/listening sometimes if I'm on the bike or TM, but do not expect me to sit and do nothing while you blather away about some inane nonsense. :sad2:

I've even been known to put my headphones on, with the music OFF just so he thinks I can't hear him. :rolleyes1

My calculator says 4 points as well :confused3 Very confusing.

well, that's just stupid. I don't get it.

May have to do some research. Google, here I come ;)

ME too I signed up for tanning last night, maybe that will get me out of this funk. And guess what the salon is in WALKING DISTANCE! Yes I will walk!

Tanning, even for just 10 minutes, always makes me feel better. And walking there? BONUS. :goodvibes

Um, I would like a large white chocolate and almond mocha with extra sugar and extra fat please.

YUM!

Sorry about the stress. I find that stress can do funky things with my weight, which makes it a vicious cycle. My new obsession? Water. Are you honestly drinking enough water?

Cammie wants pizza and cake and ice cream for her birthday tonight, and I am going to have to really work hard to resist.

Enjoy Cammie's birthday. And if it ends up meaning a piece of cake, well, enjoy it. Really. Isn't that why we work so hard? So that once in a while we can enjoy these things with our family? :confused3

They start next week -- I'll try not to be perky, okay Kat? :rotfl: So my goal is for everybody to hate and curse at me.....okay, check!

Awesome goal :rotfl:

Ah, see? You just made that tomato very happy. It acheived it's fullest potential.

Quickly checking in - C25K again this morning. w4d1 revisited and I made it.

:yay: That's great Ronda! And the tracking. I agree. If I don't track I simply do not pay attention to what my hand is putting in my mouth! :scared1:

well, that's just stupid. I don't get it.

May have to do some research. Google, here I come ;)

I had a look on the WW US site, couldn't find any information on the bonus points, but both the UK and US sites only give minimal information - you have to join up for more!

Im at WW tonight, I think I'll ask my leader. I don't think she'll know though, shes a pretty new leader.

Hopefully i'll get chance to check in tonight, but its 'date night' with DH. We aren't going anywhere, but hes cooking a meal for when I get home from WW and we are watching the Champions League football! So romantic :rotfl:

Ok so I walked 10 minutes well whats that word AMY uses WOG! and then tan for are u ready! 4 MINUTES god I love the irish that comes out in me! Then walked back home! Brought out puppy and played for 15 minutes she wasn't that into it today! Gave puppy a bath and then showered my self and now I am ready to eat lunch and go to work and I don't have to be there until 3.
Off to eat lunch

28 oz of water so far!
20 minute walk
15 mins of fetch with puppy
3 points ( lean pork chop) yes I had a pork chop for breakfast! Protein!

Erika – thanks for the brief explanation about your friends “divorce”. Relying on another person to simply be civil and do the right thing at the end of a relationship is a scary position to have to take. So many people take for granted what a former spouse can be compelled to do.

Water – I get in all my water at work. My desk is about 15 feet from the bathroom! I have three or four quarts during the day. Whatever I can get in later is icing. HOWEVER, if I wake at night I’m up to pee. Win some, lose some.

Ronda – feeling guilty about the softening asparagus in her crisper…

Erika - Nancy, my lovely beautiful twin, beat me to it. Have the cake and pizza and ice cream if you want it. (Or even simply to be part of the party/celebration). Really. Have it and enjoy it fully. You are the first person to talk about special family moments. Plus, I don't know - you are such a fantastic mother - you know I know and think that. But I'm a tad sensitive to children seeing parents not eating this or that. Happy Birthday to her. I still think about her quilt. Still. It still blows my mind.

Steph - Steph, my dear, there's a change in you. A reall change that I can feel. Some kind of Spring in the air kind of deal. It's there. So excited to see what this newness in you brings. Hard to explain but just something I can feel. I'm not crazy Steph - really. :lmao: ;)

Yep. They're somethin' all right  I have no idead where they get that little mischevious streak :rolleyes1 They just thought it was so danged funny.

]

Cause it is that danged funny. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

As for the new gym toys. So jealous. Gym toys how I love thee. :lovestruc

I had no idea they had children Erika. Where are the children? Shared custody?

Sad. No matter what went on it must have been such a shock for Karen.

indoor what? :confused3

Hmmm... Yes, how to break this down further???? Ah, An indoor outhouse. :lmao:

You're perky. Kat just likes you, so she is trying to explain the perkiness away.

Roddy, don't stop being bitter. Bitter is what keeps us going. ;)

Nancy, I might have to try the water. Hmm. I don't like fat.

It is bitterness that gets me out of bed in the morning! If it weren't for bitterness I dare not speculate at the horror my existence would be! :rotfl2:

You know, Kat is the first female curmudgeon that I'd ever encountered. That's only one of many reasons that she rocks. :thumbsup2

And Liz, thanks for the kudos on the quote in my signature. I was going to go with "only skeevy stoners fart" but I was afraid maybe that was a little too crude. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: On both of these.

I just saw a blurb on the news. YOu know we say "well this works for me" "but this works for ME' blah blah blah. Well some study just came out and all ways of losing weight came out even. Same weightloss - different ways. Or something like that. :confused3 I was too busy cruising the DIS CB. :surfweb:

Which truly means I'm getting cocky. Cause usually the CB scares the crap out of me.

Hmmm... Yes, how to break this down further???? Ah, An indoor outhouse. :lmao:

No joke there Roddy. My father recently shared with me that his grandparents, who raised him after a certain age, only had an outhouse. And during the winter they kept a pail in their bedroom because they wouldn't go out there in the middle of the night.

Actually I put "in the winter" in. I'm not so sure it wasn't a year round nightly thing.

Yeah, actually, my father said he remembered when they got electricity, when he was 4-years old. That was one outlet and one light fixture. Then, he was 13-years old before he lived in a house with a bathroom in it. :scared1:
