In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Hmmm....I'm not perky? Wow. Everyone always says I'm perky! But then again, maybe you can't be perky when every other word is the F word??? :rotfl2:

Nancy--I am scared of the water! :lmao: Really! I hate it, so I have to just choke it down. Luke warm is the only way for me to do it and I have to FORCE myself. It is like tracking for me. Pure torture. :headache:

You're perky. Kat just likes you, so she is trying to explain the perkiness away.

Roddy, don't stop being bitter. Bitter is what keeps us going. ;)

Nancy, I might have to try the water. Hmm. I don't like fat.

I didn't think I could do it either. The first day was definitely the hardest. Today? Easy-peasy. Even had a bit extra.

Oh - and my *lovely* children? They told me tonight that they've been sneaking water INTO my pitcher. So who the heck knows how much I really drink :confused3

:confused3 Like everything else "diet" related, it may be somewhat individual. But all I can say is I am definitely a believer!

And it's water. So what do you have to lose except a bit of fat, right?

And Nancy - I"m sure I hate you is great. Honestly. I'm surprised there are not more trainers that don't lose it. Because it would make me nuts to have a client who walks and talks and talks and talks and moves oh so slowly. Insane. Oh the patience they must have.

I'm watching that too. They sure do clap a lot. This is going to take for.ever. :rolleyes1

Not a bad speech overall, but the clapping gets real old fast. Jesse had me doing circuits of three exercises each. I think it was so that he could sit for longer periods of time, but by the time we got the bike for my cool down, I was dying. He even commented on how I was slowing down and fading so he couldn't have been that out of it. He'll be back to his normal self in a few days and then I'll be in real trouble and swearing at him again. Remember, the man gets pleasure out of seeing muscle failure towards the end of the last set. He is a masochist I tell you.

I have no idea either. Jesse gets so frustrated seeing people slacking their way through their workouts. He calls it a waste of a membership when he sees it. I so don't want to be on the receiving end of one of those comments. Got to do my trainer proud, you know?

I am off to bed. I have an early day tomorrow and I get to go back to filing hell. This time I get to dig through boxes upon boxes of old files from a project I worked on three years ago and pull records for an ongoing claim. That is going to be fun...

Catch you all on the flip side,
Paula

Sorry about the filing! Sounds awful.

Jesse seems to know what he is doing. Sets until muscle failure is a GOOD thing!! Granted, I am saying that as I need both hands to leverage off the chaise tonight...

Oh, and... being that this is voluntary and all, well, *you* are the masochist!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

As well you should, veggie killer. :darth:

Poor celery

:lmao:

:lmao:

That IS strange. :confused3

For example. I have protein bars here on my desk.

Calories=210
Total Fat= 7g
Saturated Fat= 4g
Fiber=3g

According to my little calculating gizmo that would be 4 points. What does your calculator say? :confused3

My calculator says 4 points as well :confused3 Very confusing.

Kelly - How was your CSI time (and what was your treat with your extra points?)

CSI time was excellent as always!
For my treat I had an Outrageous Orange Hot Chocolate drink, and I put some marshmallows in it and some whipped cream on the top! It was lovely! :lovestruc

Actually, us Non-Amish folk have indoor plumbing aka water-closets aka bathrooms so, it doesn't take so long because we don't have to go so far to use the facilities. Just Sayin' :)

:lmao:
:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I am guessing that LisaPR is still without power. I was up that way today and many folks are still without power. One of the women we met with today, her house is at 38* INSIDE. This is scary stuff. Hang in there, Lisa!

As for my day--OMG the snow! We have already had several storms this winter and not much has melted (especially further up north where the camp is). And yesterday's storm left TWO FEET of new snow on top of what was already there. Just getting to the camp was quite an accomplishment. We had to park on the road and climb up over the snow embankment to get to the driveway (which of course hasn't been plowed all winter). The embankment was easily 8' high.

So first it was up over that. Then we snowshoed to the house...maybe 50 yards. Not too far. Standard driveway length. But it was, no lie, hip deep. And that wasn't to the ground. That was just to the ice pack. When we finally got in the house, I went to look at the deck so I could see how much snow there really was. It was at about my nose. Almost 5' of snow.

Everything seems fine, which is good. But there is so much to do that we have to go back on Saturday. There must be 3' of snow on the roof. We have to get it off. And we have to somehow clear that deck. I am surprised it hasn't caved in yet.
OMG I wouldn't know what to do with all that snow!!!! The power sure we done 11 days without power, we had low temps in the house probable NOT that LOW but then it would go to 90 because of the generator. No control over the thermostat. BUT THE SNOW WOW!!! WOW! Did ya take pictures???? Did you snow shoe over the lake:scared: :scared: ... could you find the lake under the snow??? :rolleyes1

Roddy - love the quote in your signature. HA!

E - I'm not anti perky. Kat is.

Remember Kat, sans sleep and coffee? Remember Kat with sleep and coffee? Night and day!

The snow in ME is insane. I would kill myself if it was still snowing here. I am ready for the beach by now!
ME too I signed up for tanning last night, maybe that will get me out of this funk. And guess what the salon is in WALKING DISTANCE! Yes I will walk!

I'm watching that too. They sure do clap a lot. This is going to take for.ever. :rolleyes1
THEY CLAPPED and stood up WAY to LONG, NO wonder it takes so long to get through the speech... this was the first one I have ever watched!

I didn't think I could do it either. The first day was definitely the hardest. Today? Easy-peasy. Even had a bit extra.

That sounds like something MY kids would do! I will have to try it! I will buy a lemon and cut it up and put it in on of my pampered chef pitchers

Does anyone else notice that the clock on the DISBOARDS is getting incredibly S L O W
Just for the record it is 710

Good Morning Everybody!

Um, I would like a large white chocolate and almond mocha with extra sugar and extra fat please. So run down today. Does anybody have a magic energy pill?? I would like a case, please.

From what I heard yesterday, our stress of not having enough management members is going to slow down by the end of next month with the addition of 2 managers and 1 supervisor. I want to believe it, but we have been going through this crazy nonsense for well over a year.

On the diet scene, I am on, but the scale is just not moving. I so wish I could have an hour extra each day just so I could exercise.

Good grief, I am whining alot today. Later Taters!

Morning! Wow, am I busy suddenly. Ok, so I have always been really busy. But this week is just over the top. I have to leave at 9 this morning and am not back till 4:30 and everything is just jammed packed in there today. And at some point I am supposed to actually do my JOB.

Good things about today--(1) hitting the pool! It has been too long since my last training swim. (2) Going for a good run after the pool. Haven't had any real pain in a couple of days! (3) Taking Kel's entire class snowshoeing! It should be a riot! (4) It is Cammie's birthday!

Bad things about today--(1) Taking Karen (my bff here at home) to the lawyer to sign her final divorce papers from Wendy. (Those of you who have been on the thread for a long time know all of this history, but my friend Karen's partner of 18 years left her this summer. They have 3 kids together and it has just been a nightmare on many fronts. Maine has no same-sex laws yet, and Karen has been the at-home parent while Wendy worked. Now that Wendy has left, she is not legally obligated to given Karen ANYTHING and it has been a huge mess. They finally reached some agreements, so they had them drawn up into this legal document which is what is being signed today. So while it is not technically a "divorce," that is what it is.) (2) We have another frozen pipe. It is like 9* here right now. When oh when will this winter END??? So I am trying to thaw it right now so that I can leave the house. (3) Cammie wants pizza and cake and ice cream for her birthday tonight, and I am going to have to really work hard to resist.

I likely won't check in till late this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!

Oh, and Paula. What Kat and Lyz are saying is that when you inflict pain on yourself, you are a masochist. When you inflict pain on someone else, you are a sadist. So YOU, my dear, are the masochist since you do this voluntarily! :rotfl2: And Jesse is the sadist because you PAY him to be one! :lmao: :rotfl:

Thats a horrible situation. My cousin Nicola has just split up with her partner Claire - think they have been together 10 years. They have one child, technically she is Claires daughter and nothing to do with Nicola, so they are having issues on money, visitation, selling the house, everything. I feel for your friend.

You've got super powers, you can resist the Pizza, Cake and Ice Cream :rotfl:
