My walking isn't. Happening that is. That is the problem. I am still fighting. Meantime my Dad said Antonia is fantastic! She will be able to come after our new floors are installed. She is planning on moving though It sounds like she has siblings who could possibly take over for her as our regular housekeeper. Meantime, an inspector is supposed to come out to look at our floors today to hopefully get the owner to pay for our new ones. Please pray for peace for my Dad. He's juggling so much right now. Plus, my car didn't start again. It has to be moved for street cleaning before 8am tomorrow. We are blessed to have a wonderful mechanic just a few blocks away who said to call him back later this afternoon. We are still moving forward

Good morning. It is a cold one at 30 with temps getting near 50 today. I am trying to get caught up at work so coming back after a week off won't be completely crazy, just somewhat crazy. I am still stressed about the flights. Yesterday I read an article about what to do if you absolutely need to get somewhere and I really need to get home at the end of the trip. I booked a second flight out of Phoenix, nonstop as they suggest. It is refundable so if I get out on the first flight I just need to cancel the second one. The second leaves Phoenix at 10:10 pm and gets into Boston at 4:45 am Sunday the 16th. Yikes! Jeff offered to pick me up if I have to take that one, he is so kind. I feel better knowing I have backup. My friend did the same thing. I hope to get out on the first flight as it gets me back to Boston at 8:40 pm Saturday the15th. I have a transport company picking me up. Now to finish packing. I am hoping that this ridiculousness that is going on will end very soon and everyone can get paid, get their food and housing, get needed medical care, and get this country moving again. The American people deserve better than this. I don't read anything on the controversial board any more as it is so mean spirited but I just had to put in a little vent about the current situation.

I walked at the lake yesterday and saw this lovely Heron. I believe it is a blue heron. I have seen one there before, last year. It is supposed to be a sign of good luck, patience, healing, and to slow down and be present.

Early good morning wave to all. I'm going to try to get a little more sleep shortly. I pray my Dad slept well. He was so exhausted last night. Antonia is coming back this morning. Dad will visit me tomorrow. Two good things

Good morning. We hit below freezing at 31 last night, and this afternoon it will be upper 60's. Cold front starts coming in Sunday, and Monday our high will be 39.

@Snowysmom I'm glad you took the precaution of booking a separate flight, just in case.

Mona, I'm glad that Antonia is helping get the apartment cleaned and ready for the carpet installation. More progress!


I was just getting ready to go shopping and do errands when Summer texted. She was on her way to pick me up in the rental car so we could go shopping together. (very nice car, 2025 Nissan Altima, cross between red and burgundy candy apple color). She couldn't call ahead of time because her phone was shut off again. So she overdrafts her bank account to get it turned back on, and then when I question the fee they charge, she says "It's only $15, no big deal"? So we did Martins and Aldi's, and then get to Walmart. She said she was going to drop me off and go and get her pills at CVS and do one more errand since she didn't need anything in the store. So I'm shopping and she texts me this "I stopped to get myself a sandwich but I forgot to get a drink. Can you get me a bottle of cold Dr Pepper? I got you an Arby's gyro." I'm more than confused. Her husband just got paid yesterday morning, and she had to pay the rent, and her phone. If she doesn't have money to pay her phone bill without going into overdraft, what is she doing buying fast food, not only for herself, but for me.?

Just as we pulled in the driveway the cable guy called and was here 15 minutes later. I didn't want him to replace the whole box after he showed me how flimsy looking the new ones are, and he didn't have any covers for the kind I have. So he made sure it was shut, and then put cable ties on each side. That sucker isn't coming off again unless they cut the cable ties off to get inside of it, lol

I watched *recorded* the Wicked special last night. I thought it was spectacular. I'm going to watch it again tonight. 2 weeks from today, I'll be at the theater to see it. I can't wait!
