Ice Station Cool rehab

It's a really cool spot in Epcot to get soft drink samples from around the world (sponsored of course by Coke). You walk into a cool area and see a frozen "ice man" and then come into the sampling and coke collectibles area. Apparently it used to actually be cold enough at the entrances for their to be snow... but not even close when we were there in March.

We always enjoy the nice refreshing flavors... I hope it comes back up quickly. Too bad they didn't do this in January/February before the summer heat!

This is not good. We love Ice Station Cool!! They close just at the beginning of summer?!?! Not the best timing on Disney's part.

My husband just gave me the "your kidding me look" when I told him.

When we were there in January there was no snow. I remember reading prior to our trip that the snow had become a liability concern so they got rid of it. Kids were throwing it at other guests, people were slipping, etc. so for safety reasons it was decided that the snow should go. I am obviously not in any official capacity, so maybe that's not true, but it makes sense.

We really enjoyed Ice Station Cool - I have been to Coca Cola world in Atlanta but DH and DS weren't on that trip with me. They had a great time tasting the flavors. DH thought Beverley tasted like anti-freeze. And I WARNED him that it was yucky!!

I do hope they reopen, but Dec. 1 seems like an odd time for it to come back up. I guess we'll see!

Nope - my FIL loves it. But he is 100% Italian. Imagine our disappointment when he was delighted by it! He pulled a fast one on us and didn't even know it!

I went there during my last trip for the first time and really enjoyed it. We only found one flavor that tasted halfway decent but it was cool enough in there to make me want to go back, especially during the hot summer months. Oh well, maybe they will put some real flavors in there that people will like.

I'm disappointed also. We were planning on visiting it for the first time. I'm glad I checked this site before I leave in the morning. Maybe next time.

This is sad. This is one of my children's favorite spots.

My son always bets us that he can drink a cup of Beverly. He never has. If he would win, he would get a dessert of his choice from any restaurant. Now he will brag that he was really going to do it this time! We'll just see if he can do it next year.

This is not good news at all!We're going for our first ever trip in August and I was really looking forward to this. Horrible timing!The should have waited until Fall to close it,when it won't be quite so hot.

I agree that it is bad timing...they should have waited til the end of the year. Also, why do they have to close for 6 months? That's a long time to rehab a simple attraction.

Yes it is. Maybe there doing more than just rehabbing it. Maybe it's being changed.

I really enjoyed Ice Station Cool. I'm a Coca-Cola freak(most of our DW vacation pictures with me have me holding/hugging/sitting on some type of Coke product). I loved trying the different flavors from around the world. I felt like singing: "I like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. I like to buy the world a Coke... (just not a Beverly)"
It does need some work. Perhaps they will add some more flavors. I would like to buy bottles/cans of the different flavors.

That is one of my daughters favorite stops. I agree it needs work, but she will be so disappointed. She loved trying all the yucky flavors.
