Aww, man, Beverly does not taste like "earwax in a cup".
I think it confuses people because it's not sweet- it has a very distinctive herbal flavor, and is bitter. It's almost a savory taste, not sweet, but it is refreshing and unique. Obviously people like it, because they make it and sell it.
I wonder what people from countries where Beverly is sold think of our sodas?
I personally love foreign soda, and whenever I travel, I have to try the local specialties. Ting from Jamaica so far is my favorite- it's a grapefruit soda and it blows Fresca completely out of the water with it's deliciousness. (Don't worry. It is sweet, and tastes nothing like Beverly!)
I'm glad to see it's open again, I'll be sure to duck in for some Beverly goodness in January.

We went back later in the day and a few people were inside. People looked hesitant to go in, not having any clue what it was.
