My wife had a CIU in 11/18 and a CIC in 2/19 (so very similar). I’m waiting until May to go for CIP2 for her. I just don’t want to risk shutdown over going too fast. You’re also about to be 1/24 in May so I’d factor in whether you want to risk a Chase shutdown with so much runway available soon.

Shutdown is what worries me and why I've been asking about that 2nd CIP.

Shutdown is what worries me and why I've been asking about that 2nd CIP.

Shutdown risk is all about application pacing/velocity. If you list your cards out like @magickingdomprincess did I could give you my read on the situation

We are flying roundtrip ISP- MCO 5/25 and 6/2

Noticed while checking prices today that one of the direct flights home is showing no availability....searched other Sundays and the same flight is not available at all....I’m wondering if that flight number will be cancelled due to the grounding of the MAX 8

I went to a couple of Staples over the weekend for the fee free promo. One place insisted I could only buy one, and as soon as the (rude) manager heard me ask about them, he came over and asked to see the card I was going to use and my ID before allowing the cashier to ring me up. I asked what his problem was, and she said they are protecting against people using stolen credit cards to purchase the fee free cards. I left with my one card and then went to the other Staples in town and bought $1000 worth, lol.

Wow, same idea, I guess, just very different delivery! The guy on the phone was very polite!

I did the fee free in store the other day, and I got one, then got back in line and got a second one (wanted to use 2 different cards) - cashier just said "yeah, these are a good deal!"

That's what they did to me, even tho it was not a Max8. Told me to be thankful they gave me 5 days notice. Tweeted them and commented on their FB posts, all ignored as well as others too. I figure my new plan now is to book two return flights and cancel the one they don't cancel so I at least have a way to return next time.

Oh wow..That stinks...it appears they are rearranging the schedule so even if the flight was not assigned a MAX 8 it could still be cancelled
So far our flights are still showing up and available to book but I am watching them closely

So far our flights are still showing as active but this is making me a little nervous for our upcoming trip. We can’t miss our flight to Japan and we don’t have a lot of options out of our local airport. I guess I’ll just keep hoping nothing gets changed

Well would be more likely the same weekend ect. When they canceled my flight the next flight they could get me on was three days later. After spending about a combined three hours on the phone with them I got back on a flight the same day that just so happened to have some seats open up WHILE I was on the phone with the rep, then the darn rep would not close her mouth on their no comp policy long enough to listen to me to book the darn flights. I may have been a bit rude, heck I know I was a bit rude, but telling someone to be thankful they canceled your flight was NOT the best thing out of her mouth.

Public, but I don't use twitter so prob did it all wrong, I might have just tagged them, I didn't see another way. I did make a comment on their FB post that they were responding to others on, I suppose positive ones are easy to address.

You did it the right way. I was just gonna mention that when we pm’d them we got a generic response but when we did it publicly they answered and gave us vouchers. Different situation though.

Mine got cancelled at 5 days out, too. The csr tried to convince me to go with a 7.5 hour trip with a layover instead of my original 3 hour nonstop flight. "You could go sightseeing and see the city" is what she told me. She seemed genuinely surprised that I didn't think it was a good idea.

Anyone know if there is a no fee PNC account I can downgrade to after hitting my $300 bonus? I have a need for as much of the cash as possible ($6k sitting there) before Saturday. Worse case I close it and possibly get hit with the $25 fee but still, I’d prefer to play by the rules.

I guess at least it gives you a heads up if you are affected. I don't see any changes to my late may flights yet.

It would say Max...But...they are cancelling flights not scheduled on a Max and using that plane on a different route

I did this earlier this year, and Southwest auto-canceled two of my flights. I was deciding on where to travel over a long weekend, booked flights to two different cities (City A and City B) on the same days. SW canceled the flight going TO City A and the flight coming FROM City B, so I had to decide which city to visit.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this but they just announced the summer dah at mk will have a villains theme and it looks pretty awesome

Anyone think they will add add’l parks? MK is DS’s least favorite park. DS asked to go to Disney for a day while we are in FL in June and this seems like it might be a nice compromise.
