I am not 'promoting' them. I am sharing my experience with my animal. I am not going to get on here, or anywhere - and say anything but what *I* have experience. And *I* have experienced an amazing amazing pet.

I disagree, it's not like you are posting on a 'tell me about your pet' thread.

You have a siggy trying to show how safe they are and you have people thanking you for bringing awareness to their plight. sounds like promotion to me.

Are you aware that Pit's were the "Labs" of the early 20th century? They were family pets, they were *the dog to have* until horrible people started getting hold of them and treating them disgustingly.

that's a shame, it's probably too late to fix what was done to the breed.

FWIW - Ive also gotten several PM's at various times, since Ive gotten Charley. I think you'd be suprised how many DIS'ers own Pit Bulls.

You'd be surprised on how many PM's I have received thanking me for my posts about pits and that they just couldn't be bothered 'getting into it' with you.

By the way, that baby was attacked by a loving family pet pitbull who never hurt a fly (before)

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A small Pomeranian dog killed a 6-week-old baby while the infant's caretaker briefly left the child unattended to warm a bottle of milk, authorities in Los Angeles said.

The relative, who was caring for the infant girl, found her head buried in the dog's mouth Saturday night, sheriff's Deputy Cruz Solis said. The girl died of head trauma at an area hospital, he said.

The baby's name was withheld because her parents were out of the country and had not been notified, Solis said.

The relative has not been charged. Animal control officers took the dog.

Pomeranians are a breed of miniature canines that have a foxlike face, pointy ears and long, fluffy hair. The deputy said Pomeranian attacks are rare.

"Obviously it doesn't take much to kill a 6-week old baby but it's not something that happens with that breed," Solis said.
