Not saying all pits should be banned but I would say that owners of that breed need to exercise extreme caution especially around children.

Also they are good at escaping and are very agile, lots of news articles have them getting over fences to attack pets in the next yard.

You're absolutely right. All dogs can bite but this one won't stop biting until you're dead. That's the difference between it and another breed that will bite to defend it's itself or react to provocation, they give up after a bit - they are not in it for the kill.

Did you read the article the other day about the postal worker attacked by a pit bull on the street? she had to crawl under a car and hide - it wouldn't give up.
