Another thread got me thinking...

I wonder what the average number of points member's own are? Do most poeple have the minimums or do more people have well above that?

Perhaps in an-formal poll might suggest the answer.

I would add to this: How many points do you have and do you use them all?

Only 200 here, but we only plan on going every other year, so plenty for that.:goodvibes

...100 points at AKV for June, then April vacations...
...50 points at HHI for the "off" year, planning on April vacations

We own a total of 270 all at BLT. Although this works out great for us now and will for the forseeable future, I would think that we would add on eventually just need to figure out where and how much.

Just bought 220 at BLT. I don't see us needing to add on anytime soon (plus I think DH would veto any add ons in the next 5 years!).

200 points with plans to add on 400 more over the course of time. We try to go twice a year with what we have because we never leave Disney World satisfied, we always want to go back ASAP!

695 for us, and our family of 4 uses everyone of them - we could actually use more.

I currently have 400 points - 200 at AKV and 200 at Boardwalk. AKV was in October 2008 and Boardwalk was in October 2010. DH and I don't even have kids yet...so I'd be scared to know how much I'm gonna want to add on in the future. :rotfl:

After the previous two posts, I feel a bit short with 250 AKV :confused3. We use them all and will most likely add on in the next 3 years.

260 (2 contracts) at AKV. Will likely add about 100 more on at some point but just haven't decided where yet. That is plenty for our family to enjoy our vacations. We won't ever have the need for a GV or to spend more than 2 weeks at a time in WDW. Our long-term plan is to move to Florida (in 10-15 years) so I don't see us ever going beyond the 360 mark.

We currently have 335 at AKV, VGC, SSR. We tend to use most of our points for cruises but we love the resorts.

We traded kids for points. Figured Disney is always fun and we don't have to go through the terrible 2s or the teen years

I would never want to over-commit myself to Disney for vacations. Even if I took more family and friends I would never be able to use 1k points with the kind of schedules my wife and I have. Plus, there are other places to go and experience.

We have gone as much as 3 times in a year and that was too much. I know some people could stay there a month and be perfectly happy but that is not us. We have spent a lot of money over the years to make our home a vacation spot, pool, hot tub, theatre room, sun room, etc. Of course the tornado has wrecked a portion of it but we will get it back.
