How can I give you a Florida quiz...i've never been!!! 3-17th July 2010

Ok...my pre trip report has almost died a death but will make some attempt to resurrect it in the middle of my exam meltdown! i'm swinging wildly between cautious hope of scraping by and absolute certainty that I'm going to fail...:confused3

But thats enough of a very bad story, at least I have our holiday to lift my spirits up :goodvibes

ok we had just finished our AK Day...

Day 12: Wet n Wild, Shopping, The Outback

Our first stop will be Wet n Wild, we are again meeting my friend and her family and although I would love DBF To try this fearsome flume...

wetnwild3.gif

I will be content with multi-person rides and the wave pool/lazy river...

TheFlyer.jpg

I think I would gave any rollercoaster a go...but water solies scare the life out of me, think i just feel very vulnerable with no harness or lap bar to hang onto and plus i'm always so consious of being in a swimsuit and some terrible wardrobe malfunction occurring! so still not 100% decided if this will be a swimsuit or bikini day!

After a morning of slides and sunning the whole group (hopefully) will head to Sweet Tomatoes for a healthy lunch...DBF loves beaing healthy, you'll find me at the really tiny pizza/bread area...;)

Then its off to the Florida Mall...our first big shopping excursion...my 1st 3 shops will be
1. Sephora
2. Abercrombie
3. MAC
I will try and save Juicy Couture, Guess and Vic Secrets for the Outlets but will have a look just so I can compare...last time I was in Florida I got a beautiful Guess handbag from the Florida Mall and was totally disappointed by the outlets offerings...but cross fingers for some bargains esp with the low dollar rate!:sad2:

Dinner will be at the Outback, I think DBF will really like this restaurant and my friend has always wanted to try it! I will be crossing fingers and toes that a few other people want to order this for a starter...

i can only eat a few pieces but I just think it's so cool!:cool1:

I have nothing planned for this evening, it might be a quick trip to Univ or I of A, Mini Golf or just get some sleep! depending on how we feel:)

YUM YUM YUM! Bloomin' onions are delish! And so fattening! When Tom and I were going through our fatty stage, we would go to the Outback and order that AND the cheese fries which are also soooo delish and I think it ranked number one on the worst foods for you ever...seriously! Look it up!

Day 13: Back to DBF's choice of Disney Park for Rope Drop, hopefully not MK BECAUSE IS Extra Morning hours but will leave the choice to Him...

Last time our family chose DHS for our 5th day, reasons being ToT, RnR, and enjoying Fantasmic and all the Shows...plus there is still so much I haven't done, e.g the muppets, American Idol...and Toy Story Mania would be good for numerous rides!

and the top I ordered ages ago finally arrived and would fit in well with DHS and one show in particular...

depending on how we feel, we might try to fit in a trip to Aquatica in the afternoon (I've never been) and this looks so cool...

aquatica03.jpg

but we might just go back to the hotel and take outr time getting ready for our very exciting dinner ADR...California Grill! We are supposed to be seatd at 9pm but I gather it can be later than your ADR time?
Summernightastic is due to start at 10 so I hope we get a good view and can watch the firworks while we enjoy our meal and the romantic ambience :lovestruc!

I am excited about this meal but also worried in that I am a fairly plain eater and the menu is very sophisticated... but what a view

It might be at this point in the vacation that my DBF wants to share this sentiment with me...:rotfl2:

and so after dinner and fireworks we'' hit the hay asap!

I've heard its horrendous but I can't look it up! seeing it in black and white would scare me too much! :scared1:I'm gonna limit myself to 4 or 5 blooms or petals! that will be ok right?!:rotfl:

We went to Wet n Wild as part of our senior class trip and although we went in freezing 60 degree weather at the end of February we still had a good time. The multi-person rides are fine. I wouldn't dare go on the slides, though- too scary for me!

Aquatica looks really cool, is it a water park?

Ooooh my gosh, you are not going to believe this but...that Ariel tank you got..I JUST got mine in the mail today! We are matching!

LOVE the Ariel tank! So perfect for a DHS day and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I've never been to Wet N Wild, but I love water slides. Except if they squirt water in your face or things like that. As a contact wearer, water in the eye is a bad thing!

I haven't had a bloomin' onion in years! They are super good though, but my stomach hates me later in the day. Too much grease.

2 Weeks until you leave!!:cool1::cheer2:

I'm so with you on the waterslide thing! I just feel so unsafe on them, and add the bathing suit malfunction potential and it just doesn't sit well with me. :confused3 I like wave pools, lazy rivers and slow kiddie slides. That's good enough for me. ;)

I'm sure the view from California Grill will be AMAZING!! I hope you can find something that you'll like to eat. Will you be taking food pics to share with all us Disney foodies? :)

What a cool coincidence!!! :cool1: mine is a little big at the bottom so might wear it tucked in...but I think the shoulder detail is nice!

Yep I hate the water splashing im my eyes, I like seeing the danger and hate getting twisted round and going backwards!:scared1:

I debated for ages whether to get the tank but glad I did now, was getting worried it wouldn't arrive in time, had ordered it on 26th May!

know what you mean about the bloomin onion, think i like the idea and look more than the actual onion itself...! we don't have the outback in ireland so its a rare treat!:yay:

I'm going to try and take some food pictures, if I'm brave enough:rotfl2:, I know it seems to be a fairly normal thing to do on the DIS but DBF will think i'm crazy! but OTH I love seeing food pictures so I will perservere through much teasing I'm sure!

2 weeks, can't believe it!:woohoo:

I'm the same, won't be going on any single rider slides at wet n wild... only slides that have companions to save me in case i get flipped round the wrong way...hate going backwards on flumes! :rotfl:

yep Aquatica is Sea world's waterpark, looks good but with a day at wet n wild and a day at Discovery Cove we will just see how waterlogged we are by that point in the holiday!

Love the Ariel tank! You're right, it would be totally perfect for DHS!
I LOVE Outback, haha. DBF and I split the bloomin onion and then I get the small portion of cheese fries as my dinner. I always get a tummy ache, but it's sooo worth it. We don't go super often-- I probably would have had a heart attack or gained 500 pounds if we went anymore often!

Love the top, so glad you decided to get it :) Day 13 sounds great and what better way to end it then with fireworks and dinner and Cali Grill :thumbsup2

That bloomin' onion thing is down right scary!! :scared1: Its not my kind of greasy splurge. That is reserved for the fish and chips at Yorkshire County Fish Company. Yeah.. British Fish!! I allow myself about 1 or 2 a year. I didn't get mine in March, so August it is!

Wet & Wild looks too scary for me. I'm a ride chicken. I am a Dumbo-Its a Small world, Carousel or Progress type rider. I like a lazy river though.

Samers! i'm glad its just an annual visit for the sake of me and my families' waistlines!

i really like the ariel top but it was so hard trying to find a disney top with no sleeves!

Yep, thanks for the encouragement, was the final push i needed! :thumbsup2Cali Grill is probab;y one of my most anticipated moments of the trip, hope its romantic!:lovestruc

Wow! You will be there so soon!!! I just love your Ariel shirt :goodvibes

Thanks, i'm hoping to get another disney tank maybe from Trend-D or anywhere in DTD really. :goodvibes

Fish and chips wouldn't be a treat to us at all! you definitely need to treat yourself in August!:thumbsup2

I love thrill rides but I'm also happy on rides like its a small world! don't know if i'd fancy the queue for Dumbo though i'll wait until it hets its big makeover and double capacity
!

Cute tops!!

Oh wow..if I were down there I would be heading to the mall with you to hit up Sephora and MAC!! I love, love, love them both!!!! :)

I used to do "thrill" type rides when I was a teenager, then... in 1981... a boyfriend dragged me on the Loch Ness Monster (a steel roller coaster that looped upside down--something new at the time) at Busch Gardens and after that experience, I never rode another like that again. I'll go on Thunder Mountain railroad and Splash Mountain... but Kali River Rapids is probably one of my top faves at Disney.

Fish & Chips is a treat for me because 1. Its too fattening to allow myself on a regular basis and 2. Yorkshire has the BEST. They have fish & chips at some places here, but its not the same cause its not EPCOT England. It tastes better if its served to you by someone with an English accent! :lovestruc

Cali will defo be romantic, great food and wine and then to end the evening, Wishes. Can't get more romantic than that :lovestruc

Thanks, I can't wait to wear them!:goodvibes

Me, my mum and my sisters all love MAC and Sephora...Benefit, too faced, urban decay, and NARS! I'm gonna have a big list of things to bring home!:)

Glad you can still enjoy Splash, its one of my favourites, my nana loves the ride but says it'd be better without the big drop at the end:rotfl2:!

know what you mean about it tasting better in epcot! i think usa pretzels taste far better than ours but there's prob not much difference! I'm also looking forward to drinking Mountain Dew every day! we can't get it here!

thanks stefy, you've convinced me! showed DBF the planning dvd of the disney hotels last night and he liked the Poly best so if we get some free time we might try and make it over there to watch fireworks from the beach! i'll leave a message for you in the sand for september!!!:lmao:

A pretty whiny update...:confused3

halfway through my horrendous professional accountancy exams, so 2 more 3.5 hour exams to go...I hate failing but its a distict possibility:scared1:

my nana is in hopsital for a blocked bile duct and is in a fair bit of pain, she's like my best friend and lives across the road so I'm missing her being at home! and will feel bad going away if she's not out of hopsital!

have a dancing practice tonight we are teaching 6 big men to compete in a show with 6 dancers...they have never danced before and although its for a good cause its very hard work!:headache:

BUT...it is only 1 week from tomorro until DBF and I set off for London and only single digits from tomorrow until our departure on the most eagerly anticipated holiday ever!!!!:worship::worship::worship:

sorry to hear about your Nana

Hope the exams are going ok! accounting exams are so frustrating aren't they - no matter how many hours you revise & study, it still can't be enough! but i'm sure you'll be fine, sounds like you did a lot of preparation for them - and keep thinking about the Florida trip to get you through, it's so soon! :yay:
