:grouphug:

thanks stefy, you've convinced me! showed DBF the planning dvd of the disney hotels last night and he liked the Poly best so if we get some free time we might try and make it over there to watch fireworks from the beach! i'll leave a message for you in the sand for september!!!:lmao:

Excellent :goodvibes

Lol! I shall look out for it :teeth:

A pretty whiny update...:confused3

halfway through my horrendous professional accountancy exams, so 2 more 3.5 hour exams to go...I hate failing but its a distict possibility:scared1:

my nana is in hopsital for a blocked bile duct and is in a fair bit of pain, she's like my best friend and lives across the road so I'm missing her being at home! and will feel bad going away if she's not out of hopsital!

have a dancing practice tonight we are teaching 6 big men to compete in a show with 6 dancers...they have never danced before and although its for a good cause its very hard work!:headache:

BUT...it is only 1 week from tomorro until DBF and I set off for London and only single digits from tomorrow until our departure on the most eagerly anticipated holiday ever!!!!:worship::worship::worship:

Sorry to hear about your nana, I hope she gets better real soon and that she can send you guys off

I'll pray that your Nana is home soon from the hospital. :goodvibes

Good luck with your teaching challenge!:rotfl2: Hopefully, it'll make the time go by quicker for you.

Good luck with your exams. I absolutely hate tests!

I am SO sorry to hear about your Nana. I hope she is okay...and that is so sweet you guys are close.

That is so exciting to go to London. I've never been, but my parents have a long time ago. I'd love to visit there and Paris someday. And how exciting you are so close to your WDW trip!!!

sorry to hear about your Nana

Hope the exams are going ok! accounting exams are so frustrating aren't they - no matter how many hours you revise & study, it still can't be enough! but i'm sure you'll be fine, sounds like you did a lot of preparation for them - and keep thinking about the Florida trip to get you through, it's so soon! :yay:

Emma princess: x

Hey Emma, thanks for the kind words, I think if i got away with 2 passes and 2 fails I'd actually be relieved, they were so hard! but not going to think about them until Fri 13th (figures!:scared1:) August! and nana is much improved and hardly any pain!

Sorry about your Nana, hope she gets well soon

I can't believe you're leaving a week from tomorrow! :yay:

My Nana is loads better, but still not out of hospital, she is getting to watch her favourite sporting evenet...Wimbledon!!! all day though without interruption which she is enjoying!

Sorry about your Nana and all the stresses you're enduring  Just wait, you'll soon be at the most magical place in the world!

Thank you...They probably don't seem like big stresses but I don't deal too well with exams and all the other things on top were driving me a bit mad! but now I feel free as a bird and focused on my holiday:cool1:!

I hope Nana is on the mend soon. Pixie Dust to Nana:wizard:

:grouphug:

Thanks for the pixie dust! It must've been working! nana is much better and will hopefully be out before we head off!

I've actually been thinking about what to get her as a souveneir and had considered a Radley handbag:idea:, its the one with the little dog label? not sure if they are stocked in America!?

Prayers go out to your Nana for a speedy recovery!

Thanks, its lovely to think people care to put you in their prayer! my BF's sister teaches at a primary school in Belfast and she had the whole class praying for me and my exams and my nana last week! It was such a nice thing for her to do!:goodvibes

Sorry to hear about your nana, I hope she gets better real soon and that she can send you guys off

Thanks Stefy! I'm hoping she'll be out in time, Andy Murray being on a winning streak is really cheering her up, she absolutely loves him! I got her his calendar for christmas and even though was probably the cheapest present it was her favourite!:rotfl:

I'll pray that your Nana is home soon from the hospital. :goodvibes

Good luck with your teaching challenge!:rotfl2: Hopefully, it'll make the time go by quicker for you.

Thanks for thinking of us in your prayers! Nana is feeling loads better...My first teaching challenge was on Saturday and went totally grand, the 25 dancers were so well behaved, they had to walk out on to the stage from the footballer's tunnel (they were dancing in a sports stadium) and they thought they were so cool!:cool1:

Good luck with your exams. I absolutely hate tests!

The exams are over and even though I think i've failed a couple my family were very supportive persuaded me to just put them out of my mind and concentrate on getting ready for Florida! only 4 days now until we head off!

Thanks for your kind words about my nana, she's still pretty young for a nana about 66 I think and we holiday a lot together...I lent her my ds for the hospital and really wanted her to try Brain training and professor leighton but she has been busy watching Wimbledon...

I'd also love to visit Paris, and I'm sure we'd both find time to sneak in a Disneyland visit if we ever did get to travel there!:cutie:

Glad to hear your Nana is better and that the dancing lessons are going well!!

So soon now! Hope to run into you in the parks! Keep your eyes peeled for us! I will be getting some sort of "ears" and our bags will be decorated with lime green mickey heads and conservation hero pins!

Ola senorita's...

My pre trip report is almost over

My trip is almost here...:yay:

I was up to Day 14 I think which is one of my most eagerly anticipated moments of the trip...we are checking into Hard Rock Hotel probably around 7am...

Our aim will be to head towards Islands of Adventure for the one hour early entry perk!
universal_highlight.jpg

any guesses where we'll head first?

nope!

The%20Spiderman%20ride.jpg

I love this ride, but we will be heading directly, with no pauses bathroom breaks or breathing time with probably every other hotel guest to...

we will spend the first hour getting one or two go's on the Forbidden Journey and looking around the Hogsmeade shops! Cannot wait!

We will then progress to all the other I OF a A rides hopefully with minimal queues using express pass...depending on how we feel we will either try a few Universal studios rides that day, my favourite being

mummy3.jpg

I am also looking forwrd to trying Rip Ride Rockit for the first time...

Dinner will be at Hard Rock Cafe and hopefully a few drinks in citywalk before a leisurely stroll back to the hotel...

before getting up for early entry to HP land again the next morning!!!:wizard:

I would also like to spend a little time at the beautiful swimming area at the Hard Rock Hotel, but as usual I've probably tried to cram in too much!!!

Wow! I can't believe how soon your trip is!!! I hope you have a great time..please don't update too much while I'm gone on my trip! I don't want to miss too much!

Oh sorry to hear about your Nana but glad she's better. I can't believe you leave in less than a week! Your final day looks like fun at IOA! I am looking forward to that park as well!

Hope you did well on your exams. I am a CPA here and I know our exams are so hard. I assume yours are similar. Do you earn a Chartered Accountant license?

Hard Rock Hotel looks beautiful! Especially the pool :cloud9: I wish I could jump into that right now, it's so hot & humid here today.

I can't wait to hear what you think of Harry Potter! With your early entry hopefully the lines won't be too crazy!

I posted a big message to you earlier but will go over to your report now and retype it!

I was thinking about your trip earlier, I will have your trip report to look forward to when my trip is all over and done :sad2: but that is a very sad thought!!! i am starting to pack right now...so excited!:yay:

Yep, I am in the middle year of the exams for chartered accountancy which we call CAP 2, they were unbelievably hard and I'm sure I will have to repeat but I'd actually be relieved if I even passed 2 out of 4! Did you become an accountant as soon as you left college?

I am so excited to go on Harry Potter and the forbidden Journey...:cool1: DBF doens't read the books or really watch the fims either so he'll just have to be happy watching me get Harry Potter mania!:rotfl:

I am so glad we decided to book the Hard Rock and am definitely going to try and squeeze in soome pool time...and order a nice big cocktail and just chill!:goodvibes

would you ever consider staying there? DBF isn't one for paying lots for hotels bt I'm hoping front of the line will really sway him towards returning in the future!

Wow... Island of Adventure looks like Island of Terror to me!!! I'm a mild ride person. Give me Tea Cups or IASW or TSMM:cool1: I'm not into Harry Potter either, so I guess Universal isn't really for me. However, that Hard Rock Hotel looks great! In Washington DC we have a Hard Rock Cafe, which is subtitled The Embassy of Rock. It is right next door to Ford's Theatre, which is where President Abraham Lincoln was shot on April 15 1865. Do you in Ireland and England learn those bits of American History? We learn British literature and history (in separate classes) in high school. My dear friend Karen got a parking ticket the very first time we went to Hard Rock when it first opened in 1981 I think it was. She parked in Ford's Theatre's loading area..... really??? Would they be loading at 11:00pm? Hardly! The only other Hard Rock I've been to is Houston. I'd love to visit the Orlando one. I can't wait to hear about it. Food photos please!:woohoo:

Definitely! I wouldn't mind doing a split stay- spending a couple of days on property at Universal and then hopping over to Disney for a week! :)

I hate packing! I always feel like I'm going to forget something!

That's why I have a very detailed Disney packing list. I have one for winter months and one for summer. I have been continuously updating this packing list for 10 years, so its been thorough. I tell myself that if I go over the list, item by item (page by page)... I cannot forget anything important. And Florida isn't the Amazon.... they have the same stores we do. :cool2:
