The bottomw hem of the satin part (the stuff under the sparkley taffida part) is fraying.... I am not a big sewer, but I suppose I could unpack my machine and give it a whrill..... but I was wondering if anyone thought I could just take a hot iron and kinda melt it.....
I tested part of it (the fraying down part) and it does melt with a lighter..... but I am wondering if a hot iron would do the trick?
Or must I attempt to sew it back up?
If I must sew... then how???? LOL the is a whip/hem sticth on it now and there is now way I could do that...... plus the material is really finely woven, so I fear, even if I could find and replce my regular needle with a smaller one, it would still leave big holes....
Can anyone give me any tips!
To make matters even worse, I bought the damn dress with the hem out... not knowing of course, and the thing still has the tags on it.... but TDS is all out of her size, and my 3 year old HAS to be Cinderella for halloween!
