I just did!!:rotfl: I think it's under control now.:thumbsup2 I deleted all my SENT items....hope that wasn't a mistake.

Vanessa....you are a riot. NO wonder you're concerned about the lodges being locked at night.:rotfl: :rotfl:

TTFN! Laundry awaits!!! But it goes SO FAST with my "new" (not new anymore) W/D!:goodvibes (that is pathetic)

CHan

I was wondering if my Amish friend would chime in on my comments. :rotfl:

By the way I booked a guide for one day only. My friend who is going with us talked me into it. He really is worried about the crowds (and he has never been...guess I scared the poor guy). We are going to split it so it will not be too bad. I booked it for the MK. We could not get priority parade seating but the lady said she would put that the parade is a must see and that usually helps. The guide will radio to the bridge and see if there is any openings so hopefully we will get a spot! Little nervous about this since my dh and his friend who is going with us can be a little honery (sp?...have no idea). Hopefully they will behave themselves.

Off to run errands and try to work a little today. Cold and dreary here so it is hard to get motivated!

Who was asking recently about Cape May character breakfast?? :confused3

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1771361&page=13

This is a link from MickeyNicki's April trip report with pictures of the food on the buffet. Yogurt bar with mix ins, lox and bagels with all the goodies plus the usual buffet food. I am SO EXCITED to try it now!!

Kristin, you will love Cape May for breakfast :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2. The characters are so cute dressed in their beach clothes.....your DS will love it :goodvibes. We always do a breakfast and a dinner each trip.....we're not into seafood (dinner) so we don't do the clams and mussles :scared:....but everything else is great ;). And you can't beat the breakfast buffet....everything imagineable and the characters are great :dance3:. Plus we love the BC atmosphere.....so it's a good time all around :wizard:.

I thought this said something else entirely, and I was like  :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

We have made a breakfast ADR there 2 times before, but never make it. It is just too hard to get there! But being on the monorail this time, we will monorail to the MK and take the BC bus. We also made a late ADR so we aren't rushing to get to a park.

I am REALLY excited to try it now that I saw those pics! It seems like so many of the buffets are the same, KWIM? Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace etc. all seems to have the same food. 1900 PF has a little better variety, so it is one of our favs. We also like H&V since they have yoplait yogurt (DS's fav) and Ohana (strictly for the pineapple bread!)

To be honest, I am getting sick of big breakfast buffets altogether, but it by getting autographs here we don't wait in many lines in the parks anymore. I can't wait for DS to outgrow this ;)

I thought the same thing, Amy :scared1:  :rotfl: :rotfl:!!! OK....minds out of the gutter now :lmao: :lmao:.

We have had a car the last few times at Disney so it hasn't been that hard to get from resort to resort....but otherwise it is hard to do those transfers :rolleyes1. I hope you have an easy time getting there because it really is worth it :thumbsup2.

You should be!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes TOLD YA!!! It's yummy!!!!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I am not a fan of bfast buffets usually. LIke you said it's the same eveyrwhere....but Cape May has a nice variety of different options....and some super yummy stuff.

I have it for late morning, too, on the morning we check out of the Swan. So we can dink around and then mosey over to the BC for brunch....head to Epcot or just bus to MK....

I called Disney Dining about 6 times today trying to redo my plans a bit. :rotfl: :headache: :rolleyes1 Jeesh....I really thought I was going at an UNCROWDED time. I had NO LUCK with MANY Of my new plans. I am ticked at that crappy DDP. I hate the inflexibility. ugh......I have NEVER EVER ever had such problems making changes....makes me concerned about crowds now.

Vanessa...did you mean ORNERY???? :rotfl: You couldn't have meant the other.....or could you?:rotfl2:

I hear ya. I booked this month for moderate levels and it seems to be packed the last week. What gives :confused3

Hi everyone, boy you guys are chatty today.:goodvibes Don't know if the valet tipping question was answered or not, but we tip both ways usually 2 dollars.

Chan Hope the crowds are not too bad for you, but I have a feeling it will be crowded. I tried last spring to book something for this week, tomorrow is our 38th anniversary, and couldn't get anything. There were no CL rooms at the GF or the Poly, so we decided to go in Dec instead.

Mandy Keep sending warm Florida thoughts, but you can keep your Rays.:rotfl2:

We are going to Maine this weekend. Taking a train ride to see the leaves Saturday and then lots of shopping on Sunday.:thumbsup2

Well...guys..we check in next week....the Columbus Day crowds should be gone. I really don't know why the crowds....there is also the Gartner Symposium but I think that ended or ends any day now. I cannot believe it...even over July 4 I was able to change/modify/add ADRs last minute. I don't like to book 180 days out...IMO that's STUPID. But.. haha..the jokes on me. Everybody else did.:headache: I remember the days of restaurants taking walk ups and being able to book a full funfilled food filled trip 3 wks out!! No more....:sad2:

I am MAD....and I am DONE with the stupid Ebay custom orders. They came today and they are adorable...but ...ok..the first outfit...I spent a fortune on this thing....it's an adorable long sleeve tee with Minnie appliqued on it and some cool gaucho Halloween jeans....well...the jeans she used are Old Navy but SO LOW CUT it's UNREAL> TACKY UNREAL. They hit Jojo 3 inches below her undies!!!! Totally not cut for a little girl. There is like no rise to them at all...when she sits, she is sitting on the back of the waistband!!! that is sooo wrong. The front hits about at the pubic bone!!!! Can you say 1970s?? Partridge Family low cut flare jeans......

The Wall E outfit is unbelievably cute...but she also used ON jeans cut down to capris. At least they aren't AS LOW....and they have some stretch...but they are NOT what I would buy for an 8 yr old KWIM? What is with Old Navy?!?!??! TACKY.

So....two outfits down. :guilty: Still waiting for the third.:sad2: I am sick about this because they were so expensive and are so cute but basically unwearable. Well....the Minnie outfit is...Wall E will be fine....I think. And believe me...Jojo is no prude when it comes to looking cute. She loves to have that Hannah Montana teeny look....but these jeans even scared her.:rotfl:

Maxie...My kids have a 5 day weekend for Columbus Day and for kicks in the past I have looked to see what I could book....You're right...it's slim pickin's. I think a lot of schools have "fall break". But I actually booked this week with the bounceback...so I thought OOOOOH!!!! It won't be crowded if Disney is looking to offer deals!!!!! That train ride sounds neat!!! I bet it's beautiful up there now. OUr trees have suddenly turned and it's sooo pretty out. Have fun!

Oh well...life goes on. :guilty: Now I have to go thru the clothes and try and pack for two picky girls tomorrow. :rotfl:

Hi All....it was a long day at school today:faint:

I have been trying to get a CM breakfast for a couple of weeks..so I posted over on the trade/cancel for November thread and someone came through with some pixie dust! I finally got one....Here is our ADR's for November (good thing I made these at the 180day mark cause there aint much left!):

Boma, Yachtsmen, WCC, SciFi, 50's PT Diner, 1900 PF for Thanksgiving, and CM....we will wing the rest of the breakfasts, lunch and dinners...we dont like to be too tied down to ADR's

Sorry not too chatty tonight...
later taters, dawn

chan that would bum me out too regarding the customs. how frustrating. email me a pic if you get a chance.

I am jealous of you east coasters. I was a nanny out of college and moved to Newport RI. It was such an amazing experience. The family I lived with had a place right off of Ocean Drive. My bedroom window looked out to the sea. Coming from hillbillie land of Oklahoma I was blown away by the beauty of New England. I am convinced I saw a young Chelsea Clinton riding a bike to a little yogurt/ice cream place one day. Looked like secret service riding beside her. I recall hearing later that she had been taking sailing lessons about the time I *saw* her.

Who else is going soon? I thought Kelly said she was making a quick trip. Did I just dream that?

No wasps today. Well, no live ones anyway. Found one dead little booger by the window. We are so used to them that my husband will pick them up (dead of course) and start acting like it's alive and hollering like it's stinging him. The kids start screaming and saying Do it again Daddy. We are sick people.

Chan - so sorry about the low cut Halloween jeans!! What was the lady who made them thinking? Does she not have kids? That stinks! Are you going to say something to her?
I know you don't have much time but if you know a good seamstress , they could put an elastic waistband in, mabye. A PIA and more $$ spent, but at least they'd be wearable if the shirt comes down over them or if you can find colored elastic.

Traci- you are sick people! And I know that because we've been doing the same thing with the fake spiders that we have in our fake cobwebs for Halloween!! My kids always get me in the morning when I'm tired and not awake yet! I had one in my cereal yesterday morning..... nice! :lmao:

Yes- I meant ornery...you little dirty minded gals. Boy...I thought I was bad. I guess it could be the other. He is recently divorced.;) Hmmm, maybe I should request a female guide.:rotfl:

Well- after I booked all I got was an email with a confirmation number. No nothing like what do you want to do, where do you want to eat, NOTHING. Is that normal? Hey M&P where are you?? They also told me they could not give me the name of the guide until the day of the tour. :confused3

I hope it is worth the $$. I am not totally sold on this yet but I figure it is the best way for my friends who have NEVER been to Disney (they do not know what they are missing) to see the MK as quickly and easily as possible. This will probably be the only day I step foot in that park during the holiday season. MK is crowded on a low crowd day. I cannot even imagine what it is like during Christmas.

OK...I am rambling. Off to Ebay my santa outfit!:santa: :santa: :santa:

OK..here's what I am doing....sending her a plain pair of jeans and the other pair she made to her tomorrow....she is going to take the stuff off the jeans she made and use MY pair and send them to me at the GF. The work is perfectly great....I am happy with that....but the jeans!!! EEek....they are CUTE until they're put on...she probably doesn't have a daughter to try them on. She has a little one. So...I didn't know until Jo tried them on, either. I was thrilled until she put them on. I hope that works out.

Traci and Princesses
...that is a riot with the dead bugs.:rotfl: Ya..it is kinda sick.:rotfl2:

Traci, I am with you. I am from the sticks of IL...probably similar to the hillbillie land of OK:rotfl: ....I would love to go out East and antique shop and see the historic sights. And to be able to just go state to state because they are so small!! Kinda neat.:thumbsup2

Dawn,
hang in there. Good luck tomorrow.

Vanessa..
..:) Lucy and I went over to MK on CHRISTMAS EVE!! And it was NOT crowded!!! It was a beautiful sunny day in the 70s. We shopped and hung out and then sat down in Frontierland to watch the Xmas parade....it was awesome. I was stunned at how decent it was crowd wise. The other family peeps went to Epcot. They were OK, too. Ya never know.

TTFN!

Chan

Channing~ I am glad you are sending them back. I probably would not have even thought of that. Hopefully they will turn out for you. You will need to post some pics of Jo in these outfits. I bet they are adorable.

Good to know about the 24th.:thumbsup2 I have the CP package booked for that night so I will be with all the crazy people at Epcot. Dh is all funny about missing Christmas Eve service so I thought the CP package would be a close second. I hope we make it back for Santa at the GF.

Hi Dawn!!:) Those kids must be wearing you out!

Morning Peeps :surfweb:.

Chan ~ That stinks about the jeans . But I'm glad you're sending them back and she is re-doing them for you :thumbsup2. I'd like to see pics of Jo in the outfits too.....I'm sure she'll look adorable :goodvibes. Remember not too long ago I was freaking out about seeing the John M Smythe commercial with the snow and Thanksgiving???? Well this morning I saw a commercial for the Radio City Christmas Show :scared1: :scared1:!!!! I AM NOT READY FOR CHRISTMAS :headache: :headache:!!!!! You're getting ready to leave for Disney where there's Halloween festivities going on and people are already talking Christmas  :scared1:......it's all too soon for me :sad2:.

Vanessa ~ You're going to have such a great time over Christmas, even with the crowds :santa: :santa:. One of these years we'll make it actually over Christmas rather than right before :rolleyes1. You gals are probably getting tired of my picture requests, but bring back LOTS of pics :thumbsup2. It's been 5 years since we were at Disney in December so I'm sure alot has changed since then :confused3....and we weren't there OVER Christmas, so there's probably more exciting things that week that we missed .

Traci & Princesses ~ You gals are hilarious with the bugs :rotfl:.

I hope everyone has a great day :flower3:. It's Wednesday so we're half way through the week....YAY :yay:. Gotta start waking up the boys :rolleyes1. TTFN :).

Deb :wizard:

Good Morning everyone! Busy day today but I should be around after school!
I just wanted to say thanks for all the warm welcome backs! :goodvibes I have been in high spirits these last few days and I know it has been because of you guys! Thanks!!:thumbsup2

Chan send me some pictures of those outfits! I would love to see them and I might need a few for Dec! DD has never been able to wear ON or Gap pants/jeans. Gymbo or even Childrens Place fit her nice.

Dawn...Hope today is a better day! :wizard:

Traci hopefully those wasps are dying off! Is it any colder where you are?

So, I wasnt going to renew my annual pass but I think I am going to. A bummer that the military doesnt let you renew. You just have to get a whole new one. Then I thought about it...Probably better because it is still discounted (cheaper than renewing it through WDW) and mine is up Oct 26 ans I wont use the new one until Dec. So I am getting 2 months out of it. :goodvibes This also means I will get DDE again and not do DDP.

Hi to everyone else! Have a great day! TTYL!
Siobhan

Traci- Glad your wasps were less yesterday. That picture scared me!!

Princess- Spiders? Ok, I said I would leave for the wasps, but one spider will send me running out the door a million miles an hour. Even fake dime store spiders will send me screaming. (Yes I am a chicken!)

Chan- Why the hell do 8yo's need low cut a$$ pants?!?! OldNavy makes me mad sometimes with the stuff they sell. Some is ok, but some of it is just skanky. There is no need for a child to have hooker clothing...grrrr. :) I am glad she is going to try to make it right for you.

Mandy-I guess your Rays are warmer than my Sox. (Did I mention I am a Padres fan? I just live in Sox country...transplanted here from San Diego.)

Kel- No cruise for 2010. I am not happy with hubby. He seriously just said he does not want to hear anything else about Disney for the next 6 months. UM? EXCUSE ME?!?! It seems that he is now mad about the price of the August trip (hahaha...he has no idea.) And he wants to pay off ALL of our bills except the house, before we take any more trips. I am still going in March, he can kiss my butt. But I had to choose my plastic surgery or a cruise....dammit! I wanted new b00bs, a flat belly AND a cruise. (How does he not understand that?!?!?)

On the good side he promised a 2011 cruise. And I told him he has to do the week long cruise and a week at disney. Shockingly, he said FINE. I will happily do either the cruise or the week at WDW without him, no problem if he can not get the time off work for both. We'll be just fine. :)

AND....no moving to New Jersey. They found someone who WANTED the jersey position, so for now he stays in Boston. With maybe a move later, maybe. :) That part is good.
