ok...gonna list our favorites....

We do like Crystal Palace...we usually do lunch here as we are in the MK about this time and it's either break time or we leave after.

We like Brown Derby. It's awesome.

We like....Yachtsman.

Like....Rose & Crown...I know I know....the vomit thing...we've had a few good meals here since...and I LOVE the stilton cheese salad and cheese muffins and their beer!!!! YUM!!!!!!

Like....Germany.

Like...Chef de France. YUMMY for lunch....Lucy and I always have Le French Menu for lunch. :goodvibes

The bfast in Norway is good!:thumbsup2

Cape May dinner and bfast. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I hate sea food so I stay clear of anything clammy anyway.:rotfl:

Hmmm......we always liked LTT!!! To me, it was comfort food....like when I was a kid and my parents would go out and we'd have a babysitter and get a "treat" (I am serious, it was a TREAT for us!!) of a TV dinner!!! LOL....I enjoy that!!! LIke I like store bakery cakes and Crisco sugar frosting, too. I appreciate the stuff I didn't get as a kid!! My mom and grandma always cooked home made and baked from scratch. :)

Mexico is OK. I LOVE Mexican food...making it for dinner tonight! But that food was bleh and tasteless...and it's so dark you can't see what you're REALLY eating.:rotfl:

We like Kona Cafe for dinner. It was really really good.

Artist Point is good.

WCC was surprisingly GOOD.

Ohana has turned NASTY.:sad2:

1900 PF is decent for Bfast and dinner.

GF Cafe is fine. I wasn't as thrilled about it as I read peeps are. It's just like a decent "family" restaurant. Citricos is good...usually....depends I guess. Narcoossees is barfy...JUST MY EXPERIENCE>:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hmmmm.....what am I leaving out???? Tony's was OK...except our waiter was the "garbage guy" and we could see him taking out the trash between waiting our table....that grossed me out a bit.:rotfl2: DH asked him if he washed his hands.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Seems to be less and less places I like to eat at WDW.:rotfl:

OH..Mama Melroses is good.

Hhmmm........

Siobhan
, that's cool about your BIL!!!! Wow!

TTFN.
Chan

I am hoping with all my heart that it was the pear salad and not the filet that made you sick at Narcoosees! :rotfl: We are eating here early in the trip and I don't want to get sick  For me it was Jerk Sauce Mahi Mahi :sad2:

Funny how we like/dislike so many of the same places. :goodvibes

Our real issue with LTT is the preplated stuff (That is just a buffet where they bring it to you!! :confused3 ) If they change the dinner menu to match lunch we may be more apt to try it again. MK really has bad offerings for dinnertime  We like Tony's, but only for lunch.

As for Yak and Yeti, my expectations are REALLY LOW. We are just eating there for a early dinner/late lunch on our AK day so we can high-tail it to MK for EMH. If it stinks we will have those 8 million snack credits to munch on that night (Dole Whip, Funnel Cake :woohoo: )

DH is the one who wants to go to CA Grille. I figure he might as well get his way on ONE THING :rotfl2: Kel said the steak was good, so I will be fine. Hopefully he can gets some sushi with the DxDDP and all will be well. DS will probably be so stuffed this late in the trip that he won't care if he eats or not :rotfl:

Traci- let me know about Donald's! Usually I don't care much about the quality of the food at breakfast. We are there for the characters so we don't have to wait in line in the parks :thumbsup2 My motto usually is "How hard is it to mess up pancakes??" I guess the cooks at Breakfastosaurus must have worked hard to mess them up since that food was TERRIBLE! :rotfl:

Kristin...it's just really weird I tossed my cookies after both dinners at Narcoossees. Different trips...one last November...and then this July.:confused3 I ate exactly the thing both times...down to the sangria...so maybe it was that?:rotfl2: I'd like to think NOT because the sangria was SO GOOD!!!!:goodvibes Andrea said she got sick too.....I don't remember her main course, but she did have that pear and cheese salad. Scary.:scared:

I know...I looked at your list and laughed...and then did mine...but it seems like I am really running out of places there I like to eat!! WTH??:headache:

MK does have the best yummy snackage!!! Last time I had one of those chocolate chip icecream sandwiches from the MS Bakery(home made cookie ones) YUM!!!!!! And the caramel corn from what's it called...Sleepy Hallow...YUM!!! And of course the Dole Whips....which every darn time we passed either had a huge long line or it was closed!:rotfl: :rotfl: We owe ourselves a Dole whip or two. I love the goodies in the Norwegian bakery...the pretzels and the school bread...yum....OMG..can ya tell I am hungry????

Allison! I forgot about your pin questoin....I buy a lot from Mousepinsonline dot com....they have the CM Lanyard pins and most are $2.50 or so...and they also have grab bags of mega amts of pins that Disney CMs said are trade able. I wasn't sure, they checked and yes they are. But my girls like the cute Cast Lanyard ones...so I bought 100 of those for July and they have a lot left to use. He ships fast usually. Not sure about Canada. I've ordered several times and he is reliable.:thumbsup2

Channing

That is good to know about the coffee machine in Gaspies! Anybody know how much it runs for cappacino? I knew my GF friends would help!

I think is was $4.25 or $4.50, somewhere around there. I just remember thinking I was getting my CL money's worth in cappacino's. I had several every day.:goodvibes

We liked the Yak and Yeti when we went for lunch in May. Would definately eat there again.:thumbsup2

my favorite line so far:
I booked it for next week...but we hate AK so most liekly not making this one.
:rotfl: :rotfl:

Chan- they make the same ice cream sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow! Much shorter line too :thumbsup2

I am NOTORIOUS for eating a Dole Whip at 10am on our way from Tomorrowland to Frontierland :rolleyes1 DH prefers the float, which is fine with me since I don't want to share! :rotfl:

I need to look into the pin thing. DS wants to start but I don't want to get too many ahead of time. I have a couple of freebies from Disney Movie Club- are those tradeable??

Evening Gals :goodvibes

Chan ~ Was Narcoosees really that bad? :scared: We've never been and that's one of the places I was thinking of trying on our next trip . The GF Cafe and Le Cellier are two others on our must try list in July :rolleyes1. We always do a Cape May breakfast and dinner every trip.....we just love that one :thumbsup2. We had a bad experience at Crystal Palace a few years ago and won't go back there for dinner . But I am thinking of trying the breakfast :confused3.

Kristin ~ I feel like the ONLY ONE who doesn't like the Dole Whips :rotfl: :rotfl:. I tried one last September when we were at the Poly and I just didn't care for it :sad2:.....too pineapple-y for me . But give me a Mickey ice cream bar and I'm fine :). You'll have to let me know how the Cali Grill is when you get back from your trip. I've always wanted to eat there but DS#1 is SO PICKY that I'm worried he won't be able to find something to eat with it being a signature restaurant :confused3. Although he's a teen, he's very picky and just isn't very flexible :sad2:. DS#2, on the other hand, isn't a problem at all as he's our prime rib, filet, or any other type of steak eater :rotfl2:.

Enjoy your night all :goodvibes.

OK all this talk about WDW food not helping my diet! :confused3

I wanted to add my two cents since eating at WDW was a normal weekend activity for DH and I befor kids...... :: Sigh:::

MY FAVES

We LOVED Narcoossee's and Cali Grill! I think Chan must had some weird adversary of some ingredient there! :rotfl: ( Sorry Chan I know its not fun about you vomerating) We had a lovely time there and no after dinner hurling! :thumbsup2 My dad is a foodie and he loved both places equally! Narc's is where DH and I are going on our anniversary this year!

Cali Grill was just wonderful the food, the views, the service! Just wow!

UM whats next.... OK Tusker House, LOVE the breakfast! Best one out of the 5 we did! DH wants to go on his birthday! :rotfl:

Really like Brown Derby too! HAve eaten there 4 times and never had a bad meal.

La Cellier! :thumbsup2 I went there for my b-day every year as a kid so I am fond of it! AND it is still a good dinner, totally worth 1 TS!

Chefs de France! :thumbsup2 We liked it there!

My fave Fast food places are Colombia harbor house, Pinocchio's, Earl of sandwich, Starring rolls, Tangerian cafe'.

THE BAD (IMHO)

I agree with K on LTT, it is nothing but Stouffer's entrees. Sorry to all the fans! :rolleyes1

Chef Mickeys..... don't get me started. Breakfast is OK and I really don't mean ok, but Dinner

CRT..... have strong negative feelings but they are from 8 years ago and people love the place so I guess a lot could have changed. I agree with Kevin Klose's reviews most all the time and don't think i want to try again.

We went on our first anniversary for dinner and it was a horrid dinner, food wise, and bad service.:sad2: We got our $$ back but were treated like cr*p by the waiter and manager and had to go to guest relations to get a refund. :sad2: Lets just say there were tears on my part.:guilty: We ended up eating our way around the park because we could not eat the food served at CRT and that is when I discovered Fig fries and dole whips!

BTW i heard fig fries had changed and no longer had the lettuce and tomatoes..... We will find out Friday! :cool2:

Mexico, I hate the food there and hate eating in places where I cant see my menu or the food! I kinda like to see what I am about to put in my mouth.... (no comments from you DAWN! TWSS) Chan I never though about poor Lucy, if I could not see my plate I could not imagine her trying to eat there. LE Cellier is the same way, to dark.

The rest of my Hate List: Sci Fi Drive In, 50's PT, Germany, GArden Grill, Rainforest and Planet Hollywood (both with a vengeance), Mexico, China, Morocco, Crystal Palace.... I know there are more but they are not flooding to my mind like the rest!

I REALLY want to try Yachtsman, Artist point, Jiko, and Citricos . We ate at Jiko but I had a massive headache and I had to leave but my parents and dsis LOVED it!

OK gotta go wrestle the monkeys into the cages...... I really mean kids into beds! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey!! I am gonna have to remember that!!!!:goodvibes We did wait in a mega line at that bakery. And DH always cringes when we go in there anyway....it's where he bought the notoriously rancid Nesquick that made hims deathly ill for a week. BEWARE of Nesquick. It can go bad and all the chems and fake flavorings in it disguise the spoiled taste.

The pin thing is lots of fun. Especially when the ride lines are long and it it kind of like having a treasure hunt for the certain pins/collections. You can go online and print the sets out. (not sure where....if you want to know I have to ask my kids.:rotfl: ) YES...if the pins say "Disney" on the back they are traders. :thumbsup2

my favorite line so far:
I booked it for next week...but we hate AK so most liekly not making this one.
:rotfl: :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 We do like the safari. And Kali River Rapids...and the Nemo show. But that is about it. Not sure those three are worth the Disney buses.:rotfl2:

PART TWO!!!! I had to break this monster post up!!:rotfl:

Deb

Hiya DEb!!
NO!! It was wonderful!!!! But seriously it made me vomitty sick BOTH times, 6 months apart!! Mandy's probably right.....but Andrea said she had the same situation there and we kind of pinned it down to that salad. :headache: GF Cafe is nice...wholesome family friendly place. It's cute and sunny but the food was not knock me over have to have it delicious like the apple strudel with vanilla sauce in Germany is.:rotfl: :rotfl: I hear ya on the bad experiences.....we seem to be slowly crossing restaurants off our list. This trip I have fewer TSs booked then ever before.:rolleyes1 LOVE Cape May!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Mandy! I would have quoted you, too....but it would have sent me over the edge.:rotfl: You and I write the books.:rotfl2: YES....I have a BAD stomach. Something at Narcoossees does NOT agree with me. It was like clock work at 3 am.....twice.:scared: :rotfl: OMG...that is pathetic about your anniversary dinner at CRT!!!! How awful!!!

Hey! I thought of another.....Boma! Anybody eat there?? We did a couple years ago and I really enjoyed it. We sat very far from the buffet though...and it was packed so ya had to zig zag between tables and chairs to get b/f...that is always unpleasant. DH hated it. Go figure. I thought the food was really yummy....but I seriously DID NOT see the tadoo about the Zebra Domes....they were like bleh chocolate Cool Whip on a soggy Oreo. I love Oreos...leave the crappy Cool Whip off em.

Happy night!!! ONe more night down and I have nothing packed or gathered....I have to make a list. Fiddle dee dee......tomorrow is another day......:rotfl2:

Chan

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: My favorite also.

it's just Chan is so disney'ish and to read "we hate ak so much..." just cracked me up! I picture her sitting there in Mickey pj's sipping hot cocoa out of an "I heart Disney" mug!

Tomorrow only 10 days and I am thinking of changing my screen name to waspslayer.

Morning Gals :surfweb:. DH went into work early this morning so I had a few minutes before I have to get DSs up for school :teacher:.

OMG Chan........I would be going NUTS if I was leaving Saturday and didn't even have a list going yet :scared1:. I go CRAZY the entire week before we leave......I start making lists about 2 months ahead of time :rotfl:. But it is very exciting to be going to Disney so I'm sure you'll do just fine and get everything packed in record time . I knew there was a restaurant I was forgetting in all this TS talk.....I forgot about Boma too....we like going there as well :thumbsup2. Some of the food is really different, but they have normal stuff, too.....so it works for us :goodvibes.

Traci......Good screen name idea :rotfl:. BTW....how are the little suckers :confused3???

Better get moving to start the dreaded wake-ups :rolleyes1. TTYL :).

Deb

Morning :surfweb:

ughh.... i am so not a morning person, i feel like a zombe :faint:

Chan

I am long winded and tend to go on and on! :chat: :lmao:

I think it has to do with being at home with so many little kids and not having enough adult interaction! :confused3

For once, ttyl! ;)

Morning guys and gals!

Yesterday was a LONG day but Lexi had a great check up. She does not have to go back for an entire year!!:cool1: Normally we go every six months so this is very good news.

Channing~ You are very lucky to have a good group of doctors up there. I searched and searched and finally found the University of Iowa clinics and I am so glad we went. She had her surgery when she was 4 and has just done great.

I am still laughing over your comment about AK. I can just see you saying that. Make sure you check in while you are there. I would love some photos of Gaspies outdoor seating and photos of a Marina View if you can get them. Any photos are fine with me. It will hold me over until my trip. Get to packing!!!

Today starts the "Workin out for Disney". I want to take off a few pounds and get in a little better shape before my trip so today is the day. Trying to cut carbs again and excercise. Evie and I are running a 5k in a few weeks so I need to get movin.

Hope everyone has a great day!! V

Once I was in line for Soarin and the family in front of us got to talking and when I said I was there for 11 days she gasped and asked how I could make it so long on the terrible food. I said, Mam, I come to Disney to eat! She listed some restaurants she had gone to and of coarse she thought the food stunk! As far as my favorites.....

My DH and I had an unbelievable dinner at Narcoossee on our honeymoon. We have always been fond of it but I never get the salad that Chan and Andrea got. I get the traditional Cesar and it is great!

Kona Cafe! That teriyaki steak is to die for and my kids go nutso over the Cotton Candy Cone! (I know it has an official name but it escapes me)

Beaches and Cream...Not for the ice cream so much but those Onion Rings are TDF!;)

Believe it or not we like Yak and Yeti. We have only really gone there for appetizers but next time those hoisin ribs are calling my name. I will say that I have a hard time paying $15 for lo mein! LOL

Citrico...Had a wonderful meal there but then DS hurled all over the table so we had to leave. I think we are going there in December. I have to decide where to stay first. LOL

I know most of you are not fond of it but we like Mexico. The Plato Mexicano is awesome! But instead of sitting down we eat at the cantina outside a lot!

Use to like Norway but they did something different last time. We have been there for breakfast and dinner. If you are on the dining plan it is definitely worth 1 TS credit

We are trying Morocco in December. It has been years since I have been but DH keeps asking to go and I have put it off long enough...Anybody???

There are 2 restaurants that I have to try again...Le Cellier and Yachtsman!
Yachtsman I think it had to do with our waitress. Chan and anybody else that has DDE...Dont tell them you have the card until the bill comes. I learned that the hard way. When they ask if you are on the dining plan so no thats it. I swear she knew she was going to get her 18% anyways so didnt care about us.
Le Cellier because my kids were grouchy and I wish I had the sauce on the side. I also didnt ave the soup but DH did and it was good. We also didnt have the smores because it was my birthday and we had cake in the room.

as far as CS go...Pizza Planet, Pinocchios, Columbia..IDK but i think I will need some tips for those.

Good Morning- I AM FREEZING!! I am really not reaady for winter. Anyone else wondering why we love Disney so much, but continue to live 2000+ miles away in the frozen north??? :)

I wonder why daily. I HATE (strong word I know!) WINTER. Why the heck I live in the Midwest is unknown to me.
