I have a Giottos mini ball head that I use on my Clamperpod (same situation where a big ball head would defeat the purpose)...

Theoretically it holds 5lb. It's not super stable but it should be enough to hold your camera more or less in position while still being tiny and light. You will want to use a remote shutter release or at least the timer, otherwise you will shake it when you hit the shutter.
It is tricky getting it super snug to the camera itself, which means if you tilt it on its side in one direction, the weight of the lens will make it unscrew itself slightly - the solution is simple, flip it 180' then the weight of the lens will make it tighter!
It's also dirt cheap - $10 at Adorama, I paid $15 at the local college bookstore. It's probably better than some of the no-name supercheap ball heads out there, certainly it's much better than the ones on the $10-15 mini tripods.

I purchased one some months back. I have a Canon P&S, S2, and have the middle sized pod. The smaller one would be too small. I like it, a lot.

I told them it most likely would be taken by someone as being a child's toy and possibly thrown out. They said they don't throw away anything. I called the next day, and the next, and it was never turned in. I was there a few days later and I brought in a picture of it to show L&F. The CM I spoke to said he remembered my calls, and he was grateful for the pix, but nothing like that was turned in. I was totally bummed as I really liked it. I bought a similar one (Sunpak Flexpod) at a local camera store and even though it is the same size as my gorillapod was, it won't support my camera. The bendy things are a little looser, and it just doesn't work.
