So hyped but nervous to leave the "kids" to travel across the country for a week (they're 19 ).

18 days until our 1st trip!! Staying at the Pixar Place Hotel.

When I was a kid, I first visited Disneyland in 1995 (unintentionally on the 40th anniversary). Had a family many years later and we all visited Disneyland in 2015 (unintentionally for the 60th anniversary) and then we all recently visited again in 2025 (unintentionally for the 70th anniversary). We weren't fully expecting to visit again until the 80th (this one would be intentional) but we are now making an unexpected trip in 67 days! It would have been a good story to have only visited during anniversary years but I am okay with ruining that.

Well, not a trip per se since I live locally but I’m bummed. I’ve been watching the weather and took Friday off to use the second of my CA resident 3 day ticket. It was saying possibly in the low 70’s but I just checked and it shows 84 predicted now. I’m such a heat wimp but I gotta use these tickets. I know it’s going to be super busy but that’s ok.

Maybe I’ll try and do “inside” things to avoid the heat until the sun goes down.
