wow Breezy, I'd be creeped out to go back to that barn.![]()
Anxiously waiting for chapter 2.![]()
Yeah, but the barn was nothing compared to the house.

What I thought (and still can't figure out) is why couldn't I hear the rest of the sentence. Maybe our ghost experts can shed some light, but I just think that part is weird. Why could I only hear my name so distinctly?
The good thing is that the second one was only 15 minutes long. Nice place though.
I loved the first part! It was interesting and strange....
You'd be in good company -- "Dude, Run!"![]()
I bet if you were able to record it like the TAPS guys it would have been able to understand it.![]()

The baby-store episod (I don't know the official name of the episode). That's one of my faves.Half the time I can't figure out what those recordings are saying, but after they say what they think it I go "oh yeah it does sound like that"
and other times it is very clear, like the "not Jean" one.![]()
OOOOOh, you're not going to keep us hanging like that, are you?
Please, do tell.![]()

Well, I'm not sure why the name came out so clearly. Maybe because it was relatively "short", as opposed to what was presumably some type of sentence. It sounds very elementary (and makes sense when you think about it), but these spirits no longer have bodies, throats, larynxes, etc, things necessary to make intelligeble sounds. It's amazing they can even shout a name, or make any types of sounds that are relatively deciperable. I've read that for them to do this, it's like us sitting under water and trying to communicate that way. Not easy. What I thought (and still can't figure out) is why couldn't I hear the rest of the sentence. Maybe our ghost experts can shed some light, but I just think that part is weird. Very scary, Breezy!!!
Here's a story someone I work with told me. When he was little, he was outside playing, and he saw the little baby that lived in the house next door walking on top of a fence in the yard. He thought it was really strange, because 1) the fence was very narrow, and 2) the baby was way too young to be walking!
Just then, the woman in the house next door came running out, screaming. She had just discovered her baby, dead, in it's crib.
Personally I think that being a nerd is a good thing.Yes I too am a nerd about this subject but when one has things happen personally I do not think it is being a nerd as much as just trying to find out if you really did have the experience or if you just twisted what you thought happened to what you wanted to happen. I have had too many experiences to believe it was wishful thinking. Also I will try and get my son to post my pix from St. Augustine Lighthouse(funny when kids are little you need to do everything for them but when they are teenagers .....they cannot do even one little thing you ask them to!).
I too have read tons of ghost books but some of them are so hoaky. I find Hans Holzer to be kind of unbelievable and I tend to classify him with Sylvia Brown and James Van Pragh.
I have read lots of local ghost stories too especially those from Mass. In all honesty the Ghost Hunter book is kind of unbelievable also. I mean when you read some of the things they claimed happened I always wonder how come none of that shows up on the show or on video. But all in all it is a pretty good book.
That is just incredibly spooky!Very scary, Breezy!!!

Are you one of those people that reach for the phone before it rings or maybe think about someone and they call? This stuff fascinates me.my story...
I was very close to my papa (grandfather) my whole life, who died before I had my first child.
A bit after the birth of my first child (whether it was a few days, weeks or months, I can't remember, but she was still a baby), I had a VERY vivid dream one night. I was in a room, and my dd was in a bassinet near me, and my papa entered the room through a white fog, very quickly and deliberitly. I was thrilled to see him and did an immediate happy-gasp and motioned to hug him, but he immediately put up his hand to stop me (and maybe he looked at me while doing so), walked by me quickly and said "I'm here to see Erin" very matter-of-factly. He walked to the bassinet, leaned over looking into it, and that was it. I woke up with such overwhelming emotion, in a good way though.
A couple days later, I'm talking to my older brother on the phone and tell him about my dream, just because we were all close to papa and I thought the dream was neat (but I really just thought it was a dream at this point). He says "oh my god, I just finished reading a book about people being visited by ghosts, and what you just described is exactly in the book!" That really shocked me, and really made me feel I was visited by my papa. What also makes it weird to me was if I hadn't told my brother, who just happened to read that book, I'd always think it was just a dream. It was like I was supposed to tell him so he could tell me it was 'real'. Make any sense???![]()
Another story... my dh's brother died when bil was 18yo and dh and I were married and living in the same house as him (w/ mil). Overwhelmingly sad for everyone, of course. A few weeks after the funeral, I woke up around 4am, which wasn't unusual for me to wake up, but bil popped in my mind, and I just couldn't get back to sleep till the alarm went off at 6am. I was really trying to get some more sleep, but I couldn't get bil off my mind. It was a very heavy feeling. When the alarm went off, I rolled over to dh and told him I had been awake for a couple of hours, thinking about his brother. He said he was also awake for hours, thinking about his brother. It was like bil was 'there' with us both that morning.
I've also had a few dreams that have come true, to the "t"... no lottery numbers or anything (darn!!), and I've been to a few psychics (sp???) that one was right on about future stuff, and one sort of read my mind. I'm not really "into" this stuff, but my sil always tells me people have to be open to it to really experience it. Don't know... but I do know my psychic dreams were real.
