Our house is acting up again.

About 2 weeks ago the daughter (age 6) started talking about one of our regular guests. She calls him "Clockhead" (yeah, yeah...Creeps me out too). Well, Clockhead has brought some new friends to the house. Now we're hearing all kinds of new bangs, thumps, hisses, whispering etc. No kidding ya'll, we can lay in bed at night and think the kids are running through the house.

Night before last the wife woke up and heard someone talking. She woke me up and said "Go see if someone is breaking into the house" ...Then she stiffened up and gasped while looking out the bedroom door, I looked over in time to see what to me, looked like a shadow moving down the hallway. Every hair on my body stood up.

Last night while we were watcing TV, something was bothering our dog (A stinky, lovable gas bag of an Aussie Shepard) to no end...He would get up out of a dead sleep, go get one of his toys, then go stand in the middle of the front room of the house wiggling his nubby tail like he was trying to get someone to take it. He must have done it 4 or 5 times.

Our 3 year old son has started chasing something around the basement. He's calling it the "Boy" no idea...but it certainly gets his attention. Out of the Blue DS will be playing upstairs, stop dead in his tracks and Say "Down Dere" and he'll haul buns down to the basement, then to the furnace room. Then He'll tell me "He's Hiding down there" (While pointing at our sump pump)


There is something that the wife feels is not pleasant...which kind of scares us.

I'd have someone in there in a heartbeat. That's all just too freaky for me.

YEah, that's the deal...we've had a group come in twice. The caught voices, orbs, nosies, cold spots etc... BUt you know, they we're more like a group of people out on a lark. NOt that they weren't nice, they were very nice. It's just that it seemed to stir things up more than calmed things down.

I don;t know who in the heck could make it calm down for real...seriously, who do you call? (Ghostbusters?)

From our point of view it seems to cycle around, eventualy it'll calm down again (Usually lasts about 3 months or so)

Explodo, I would NOT be keen on "things" interacting with my kids, but that's just me. Can you try to contact Ryan at Paranormal State? He seems to not just investigate, but really try to help families, especially when there are kids involved. Maybe you could try Chip Coffey? His site says he does readings; he seems pretty down to earth and knowledgeable. Good luck, and please keep us posted.

Like any business, there are some ghost research groups that are better than others. They have different approaches and different agendas.

It's too bad that you're not in our area because I know of a great organization here which is very serious. They don't fool around and look at their investigations as playtime.

TBH, we're afraid to call any of the national shows for fear of being denoted in the media as kooky. I know it would hurt me at work, and it would make our neighborhood a circus. I guess we need to figure out what is really important...I think the safety of the kids is paramount, but not at the cost of making us somewhat of a local curiosity. It's tough.

I think I'll send an e-mail off to TAPS and just talk to them. Who knows.

The costume party is Sat night. We are only going for 1 night. It should be FUN...going with 5 other fun, Ghost Hunters lovin ladies. They went last year and had a blast! Had dinner at the Inn and J & G came over and joined them at their table to talk. Also saw them that night at the party and hung out together.

I have a ghost story to share!

So i have to set this up before I start... my friends Tiffany, Britney and Kim and I decided to go to Kims home to play with the quiji board. Kims mom worked 3rd shift and left before we started this whole thing and Kims dad was sleeping in his room with his door closed and her little sister was in her room with her door closed and we were in the living room. She lived in an apartment and we could clearly see both bedroom doors from where we were sleeping so if anyone got up we would have known.

Ok so the 4 of us were using this thing and we were all freaked out, we were only around 15 yo. At one point during this I swear I see someone out of the corner of my eye walking from the kitchen toward the pantry and I was very scared i tried to just brush it off as I was tired and seeing things from the corner of my eye and it was nothing. Needless to say we scared ourselves to the point that not one of us slept for even a minute. Once the morning came around we decided to get dressed and go for a walk. I gathered my things and went towards the bathroom and looked into the kitchen... EVERY SINGLE CABINET DOOR AND DRAW WAS OPENED! No one had gone in there we would have seen it and even if someone had why would they LITERALLY leave everything open and how come we didnt hear anything open? I never left the sight of my friends and I called them over to see it. We were all shocked.

It was something I will never forget and hope to never experience again lol.
