I'ma littel concerned that the Moss Beach thing will be disappointing because, although it is supposed to be haunted, they have also rigged up a few thing to "act" haunted.

We know or have met most of the people on darkness radio and those who speak at their events. Some are really great. Others, though I respect their experience and work, I don't really resonate with. They are absolutely credible but it's a matter of where I choose to focus my energy.

Oh, that wasn't very clear was it?....LOL!! Moss Beach has rigged the place. I forget everything they've done but I know they have a ceiling lamp that moves and, I think a face appears in a bathroom mirror. I just wonder if they divulged that info. to TAPS prior to the investigation. If not, they are shooting themselves in the foot, as far as publicity goes.

Okay I hesitate to relate this story b/c it sort of just happend yesterday. This thread got me to talking with my son about all this stuff. He has always maintained that when he was younger and had his bedroom on the thrid floor there was a woman who he would see. He would call me in the middle of he night telling me the woman was in his room. I told him it was just the moonlight etc. He has for YEARS maintained the there was someone there. We do hear what sounds like footsteps over our heads at various times during the day or night. He insists that once the woman came toward him when he was till in the crib with her hand out. He has related the story many times over the years . But still ....

So yesterday I tell him that when we go to the lighthouse in St Augustine that maybe we should bring a digital recorder. He looks at me funny and says I already have something . Now mind you my husband is away on business. L

Here is the story. About a month ago my husband was away and my son said he heard his name being called. I was asleep and he woke me up and said he heard the footsteps. I told him it was just the wood creaking (he is 19). I vaguely realize he went up to the 3rd floor but Idid not know what he was doing.

Fast forward to yesterday when I tell him we should bring the recorder to St. Augustine. He says, " I have something I recorded about a month ago when dad was away." Okay so I cannot even begin to tell you how freaked out I was! He asks if I want to hear it. I say NO. But really I figure he is just fooling with me so when he insists I say FINE! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hear him on the recorder and under his voice I hear what sounds like an old woman saying, " Help me" . I cannot put into words the chills b/c she sounded distressed but still I was not sure if he was fooling me. I do not think he did it b/c I could hear him and her at the same time. He said I told you there was someone up there. Well, my husband is away again and I sat up all last night! I do not know why b/c I have lived in the house for 29 years and I really think that if she is up there she means no harm.

Oh I forgot to tell you the history of the house. It was an estate sale and the man from the bank knew the family that owned it. He told me that the woman who owned it had had her sister move in when her sister's husband died. When we looked at the house there was a bedroom set in the room on the third floor where we hear all the footsteps.

Okay so I do not know why I even wrote this b/c it really freaked me out again. Wait that's not true I have been freaked out since he told me yesterday. I told my son NOT to do it again and if he did to use a prayer of protection AND to tell her to go to the light.

I am so freaked

Oh my gosh Bella. You've got me freaked for you. A little freaked for myself too - whole family is upstairs and I'm in the office and the only light on is from my computer. Eek! You gave your son good advice, if you're scared the best thing to do is pray.

YOU have no idea how freaked I am. I told my son he could not go to sleep last night. Usually as most teenagers do now a days he stays up IM'ing his friends bUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Last night he decides to go to sleep! I slept on the couch ouside his room ....or should I say I sat up on the couch outside his room. I am usually in work by 6 am I fell asleep about 430 am and did not make it to school till almost 7!!! Everyone thought I was out. I arrived with no make up and bags under my eyes down to my knees. Of course I told only one of my friends b/c I think the rest of them would think I was NUTS!!! I am now up watching David Letterman....I am usually in bed by 9:30!

Yes but my dog is 12.5 yrs old and he cannot go upstairs so he sleeps in the downstairs den. I have an alarm but that is NOT going to do much for this kind of a thing! Again I do not think that this is a bad spirit but one never knows. If you remember my earlier post, I said that I felt it was someone else intervening for my dog who passed. Maybe she is the one who did this. I don't know but ......

Wow, Bella! The other thing you could try is burning some sage and wafting it around the house, especially upstairs or wherever you hear her. Has anyone ever see Lisa Williams do it when she visits haunted houses (Lifetime)?

I planned to do that . I need to get some but the only place I can think of is Salem and I cannot get there for a few days. They have smudge in the shops there.

I do have a Yankee sage and citrus candle but somehow I do not think it will do the trick. I also have one of those prayer candles "Our Lady of Guadelupe" (another long story ) which I sometimes burn. With my luck I will set the house on fire!!

I can't remember, but were you the one who said you'd be running out with me on a Dis ghost hunt? Cause I don't care if they're good or not, ghosts still scare the bajeebers out of me. I'm serious, my mom was the one who said to pray when I can't sleep at night - it works. I also try to watch the funniest sitcoms on at the time and fall asleep to the tv. That works too.

Yes, last night around this time I started looking at ghost photos. All by myself. Downstairs. (Well, my dog was here with me.) I was really getting spooked!
