Thanks for the updates MeMom! I wish that I had a suggestion for a part-time job that could help support your Disney habit. I wouldn't do babysitting on the weekend either. Too many kids, too many days in a row, would make me crazy! I agree that you need a break from kids for a couple of days. (in my humble opinion )
Yeah, I think I do, too. One of my kids was suspended last Thursday and Friday, and it made a world of difference in my class. He was the first one down the hall this morning, and he made up for the two days today. I would not have wanted to go to a 'kid job' today after school.
You guys are TOO funny!!!
You don't even know how many times I will be picking up the phone to call Jill when she texts or calls me right at that very miinute! Why would either of us even be thinking about Brooklynn's AUGUST birthday yesterday? Yet both of us were, and we were thinking the same them. Oooooo-weeeeee-oooo!
Great update MeMom! Those girls are just so cute!
Looks like we all had busy weekends. I know watching Brooklynn and her team chase that ball up and down the field was so much fun. I can't wait for Ty to start ball. He loves all kinds baseball, basketball, soccer and golf.
I remember Scott's first year of T-Ball. One minute they were all playing ball and the next minute every kid on the field was running the other way. Turns out a rabbit was spotted and that was more interesting the game. lol
Ty had his party this weekend and had wonderful time. His Mom rented one of those blow up bouncy things. It had a basketball net in it so he really liked it. I didn't do to good at taking pictures, but my DIL did so I'll have to get some of hers. My daughter Sarah offered to have the party at her house in town and she has a big fenced in backyard so it was easy to keep up with all of the little ones. We live in the "country" so this worked out really good.
They were setting up the bouncy thing and he was ready to get out to it.
First thing he did was take his shot! lol

Everyone had a great time.
I know how you feel about trying to make a few extra dollars. Since Denny drives to Memphis and back everyday the gas prices are hitting hard. I thought about putting the word out to see if anyone needed a place for their kids this summer. It's just we have a pool and I worry about that. My 3 kids are all really close in age. So, when my kids were growing up there were always kids in and out of our house. Eating, sleeping and playing only thing was I didn't get payed for it! lol It only slowed down when they started getting old enough to drive. My kids and their friends are adults now and they all still talk about how much fun they had here.
Have a great week!
Such a fun time for you guys! Family time is the best.

My house was filled with kids, too. Some weekends we'd have up to a dozen in and out. I kept some while parents worked and some while parents played, so they'd be in and out at different times. Some spent the night, so we'd just lay out blankets and sleeping bags and put in Disney movies to fall asleep by. Those were fun times, but I am glad to have my weekends for just my own family now. It's great that your kids and others have good memories of time spent at your house. You were a good Mom!

Bella looks so cute just waking up. Does she still have her paci since she is a big girl now. My daughter had hers until she was 3. I didn't have the heart to take it from her because she was so attached. When I finally took it, it wasn't too big a deal to her. I may have been more attached than she was.
She's a paci girl. Jill is breaking from her it little by little, but Bella is pretty fond of it.

Here are a few pictures from 'soccah day' Saturday. All the way there, Bella was saying, "I pay soccah day."

Brooklynn getting on shin guards.

Bella trying to figure out what all this was about.

The dads warming up with the girls before the game.

Warming up causes a thirst, and a thirst needs blue gatorade.

Yay, Bella gets to pay soccah day!

Carter's game was finishing up, so their family came over to watch Brooklynn for a few minutes.

There were a few tears when Carter and Presley had to leave and Brooklynn, out on the field, didn't get to say a proper goodbye.

One of the dads talking to the girls.

They needed a team name. All the girls shouted out an animal. The one heard the best was 'dolphin', so for Saturday, they were the Purple Dolphins.

John training the Dolphins.

Brooklynn really didn't get that you were allowed to take the ball away from the other team, so at first, she sort of just followed them around.

During a break, I told her I'd give her a quarter to chase the ball and kick it. She does just about anything for a quarter to put in her bank.

She got the hang of it after she kicked it the first time, and she did just fine the rest of the game.

At the end of the game, in which the Dolphins were thoroughly smashed by the Bluejays, or whatever they were, the girls shook hands,

and had a big time running through the tunnel that the parents made.

Brooklynn had no clue of any kind of score and was very sure that they had won the game. She was happy with her snack and her friends, and she was glad to get the shinguards off.
I was very happy that her shinguards smelled nothing like Trent's when he used to take his off. They could truly knock you over.

It was a fun day. It's nice that the girls are getting experience in team work and cooperation at such a young age.
Totally unrelated to soccer, I finally got around to taking a picture of my AKL print.
This is the one Trent and Tanya liked best.

I am very happy with it.

What do you guys think?
I still have to get a frame for it next time I am out.
