Oh definitely, we’ve purchased 4 resale contracts and have sold 1 so far and it’s no longer an intimidating process. We also aren’t in a rush for the money for any reason so it’s relatively stress free going into the process now.

We were never in it for ROI value in any capacity so it really doesn’t matter that we might be losing out a bit and paying for commissions or closing fees etc. If the product isn’t making us as happy, we’re gonna change it up to make sure we are. And like you said, life circumstances change over time, so do our tastes and necessities, it’s good to reevaluate sometimes

If we were even 5 people regularly a GV could make a little sense but not even I, consummate YOLO-er that I am, can make the math make sense on getting a GV for 20-25 nights a year for 2-4 people. We can slum it and take the skyliner over from our well oriented studios and 1bdrms at the RIV

I’ve been mulling this over for a few months now and I wanted to start a thread on it a few times (though maybe I should since this convo is taking up a lot of valuable space here lol) but people have strong feelings on here about the crescent lake resorts and RIV and I don’t have the mental and emotional capacity lol, so I won’t. But the space and rooms and vibes are just SO much more calming over there, aren’t they? I like that I can fly over for an afternoon to chill, enjoy the vibes, have some boardwalk pizza but go back to my lovely quiet resort when I’m over it.

Oh yeah, we give our favorite resorts a lot of leniency in comparison to others lol I just never got wow vibes from BW sadly. I really don’t like the lobby, the rooms are the strange configuration the older resorts have, have had the worst luck with the buses there, and omg we had the loudest room we’ve ever been in 4 night we were there. It was loud from the outside and the hallway, there was no escaping

And if I’m gonna stay at BW, I want BW view so that eats into some of those savings; though admittedly even the BW view is still reasonable. I’ve been able to string together some SV rooms a few times but always went with something else in the end. So I know it’s not a guarantee, but I’m sure I can occasionally grab those rooms low point rooms if I want them with enough stalking, as long as it’s not peak dates.

Hands down I haven’t stayed at RIV but one of the turn offs are that you aren’t close to any parks.

True you can take the skyline but I like the waking distance to Epcot from BCV or BWV. Same with BLT I can walk I don’t need to rely on Disney transportation.

From what I’ve seen at the international gateway at Epcot the lines for the skyliner are super long - at least when the park closes.

Without knowing 100% it feels like I’m as close to Epcot if I stay at BLT as I am staying at RIV, I need transportation both ways.
