Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

ooh, he better not sell my glasses.

The redecorating looks like its off to a great start. Love the floor, Can't wait to see the finished product

My condolences go out to Jarvis and his family.

I'll ask my dad if he knows about a back story to those names. My guess is that he doesn't but it never hurts to ask

Wow! A dryer that dries in 3 minutes; that's amazing!!

Such a creative fun birthday party! As always, I love looking at the cakes Jill creates.

Yay, for Trent coming home. I know you are beyond excited.

Oooh, love the idea of a Tangled themed party for Brooklynn, it would be interesting to see what Jill comes up with.

Happy Belated birthday to Bella, I was confused as to when her birthday fell on as I posted on Jill's fb wall. She probably thought i was loca.

Congratulations to Tanya on her new job.

That picture of Trent with Brooklynn reminds me of my boyfriend and his niece, they have the same relationship.

Congrats to Bella on wearing big girl panties!

I miss the Hustle :(

looking at your animal kingdom pictures makes me realize that I still have a memory card full of pictures to upload somewhere.

love the AKL print and Brooklynn's soccah uniform

I can see you being a soccer player. I bet you were good.

Are you in on the future/someday/there's gonna be an AK meet? :)

Aww, that's sweet of you. I certainly wasn't the best on the field but I had fun and I miss it. :)

Absolutely! An AK meet someday in the future would be so much fun :goodvibes

Some days I have thirty, some days I have sixty trailing behind me. It's really nice company!:goodvibes

I bet that is absolutely adorable! I love that your school does a walking club. :)

I totally agree! I need a vacation!

Maybe you can get a mini-trip close to home somewhere. I am hoping the weather is going to be good for our day trip to Louisville.

DD did gymnastics, swimming, soccer and taekwon do. Being all grown she now plays docter- she is an EMT and likes hawking.

DS also did gymnastics, and swimming. Gave both of those up but he did get his Lifeguard certification so I am glad I made him learn how to swim. ;)

Both have jobs that help people. That's a nice thing. :thumbsup2

Brooklynn looks like a natural on the "soccah" field! I love the purple uniforms, the leagues here never had uniforms so cute! :thumbsup2

No tie-dyed Purple Dolphin teams for you? I can't imagine why not?

I don't think Alabama is in my future....if were to move down South again it would be to Florida. ;)

There is trip news...we decided to change our cruise to January...after the NYE bash!

I will probably book the 4 day cruise instead of the 3.

There were alot of factors that went into making this decision today. ;)

We are still going to WDW in September. :thumbsup2

I spent the afternoon trying to decide whether or not to add more Disney park days to the fall trip.

You are starting to compete with Jackie in the "CHANGES" department.

There must be something good stirring at your house, huh? Do tell! :goodvibes

Thanks for the Fantasmic pics, and it looks like you guys had a great time at AK! These pics are really killing me because we'll be in Disney one month from today and I starting to get really antsy. I want the time to fly, but then slow to a crawl for our vacation week. I'm sure you all understand the feeling! :goodvibes

I have a new fancy smartphone so I'll be posting updates and photos from the parks if anyone would like to follow along on twitter or facebook.

It looks like Brooklyn was having a great time playing soccer! My DH can't wait to get Everett started. He played soccer in college and was apparently pretty good. He's had Everett kicking little soccer balls around the house since he took his first steps. Apparently he has even found a baby soccer league and is going to sign him up for the summer. I'm totally on board because it will A. give me a hour break on Saturday mornings and B. running around a field for an hour will lead to an extra tired toddler and a super afternoon nap. I don't care what he "learns" or does, those two facts alone make the program a winner in my book!

Fast time while waiting and slow time while there - we absolutely get it!

Are we already FB friends? If not, let's do that before you go. I'm always up for live Disney updates.

Your son with soccer sounds like Trent with basketball. He got a Little Tikes goal when he was a baby, and he shot at that thing for hours on end.

Nope, haven't told her that yet  I will definitely post whatever she sends me here for everyone! I need to go back and see what it is that I was gonna have her look for for someone on here. I meant to write it down, then I forgot, of course. She's also going to look for something for a friend of ours from work -- she went to Disney in January and got a pair of Mickey earrings that she wore every day, then she lost one of them down the drain when she was at school. Kailyn asked me to hold on to the envelope with the money and the one remaining Mickey earring, so I'm going to go back, write down the other thing, and put it in the envelope so it's all in one place for her. I got a text from her yesterday saying that she made a packing list; our mom told her to text me that and let me know b/c I'd be proud. :rotfl:

I think it was those cute, fluffy Princess skirts that someone wanted to know SKU numbers and prices on.

I bet she's so excited! I know I am excited for her! :dance3:

So true! My teaching assistant and I say this about daily!

Thanks for sharing the soccer pictures! Love it! Team work is a great thing to learn at such a young age! :thumbsup2

Love the print!:simba:

I put it on the wall yesterday. I had to put it in a different spot from where I had intended, though. When I put it in the first place and turned on the lights, you could only see the reflection of the lights and not the print, so that wouldn't do.

Teamwork is a most valuable lesson. ::yes::

Mine got even shorter, two weeks ago I offered to sponsor walking club over my lunch time so I take 15 minutes to eat then gather up the 2nd and 3rd graders that want to walk and we head off for 20 minutes....
Some days I have thirty, some days I have sixty trailing behind me. It's really nice company!:goodvibes

That sounds like an awesome idea, but I can't cut lunchtime that short. Maybe I can get them five minutes early and then add ten minutes to that before we start Math. I already have to make copies and return phone calls, etc. during that time, and I have to have my ten minute DIS time.

SCORE! What a great deal! :thumbsup2 I love bargains.

Yep, I was happy for a $3.00 frame. I am presently mourning the loss of the big number in my checkbook I was enjoying after my income tax return arrived. It had a short life. :upsidedow

Glad you got to catch up on the DIS.

Please share some of your pictures when you get them ready. :)

I didn't understand soccer so much at first, but I learned to love it very quickly. Trent enjoyed it and excelled at it, so we really have good memories of soccer days.

I'm liking the idea of a Walking Club with my class. It would be great for me.

Oh, I totally forgot to mention how much I like your new Animal Kingdom print!!! You probably already knew that, though, right?

Connor's Disneyland travel poster came yesterday -- I need to find a good deal on a frame for it like you did. I showed it to Connor, and his response was, "I really like that!" My little Disney boy! :lovestruc

All caught up! Stupid senior year taking up my DIS time ;)

I played soccer in 2nd grade. I wasn't very good :rolleyes1

We discovered some old home movies yesterday of me when I was little, between ages 1 and 3. There was one from a summer in Vermont when I was about 2 and a half, running between Josh and Jeremy and tackling them  I kept knocking them over, which is hilarious because they were 14 and 13 and I was 2 :rotfl: We still have another couple tapes to go through when my mom gets home from work. They're so fun to watch!

I'm picturing "little ducks all in a row".

I thought you would.

Good old Connor boy! :thumbsup2

Brooklynn is too cute in her soccer uniform.
LOVE the AKL print!

She was pretty cute. :cutie:

I am enjoying the 'new' house.

I'm sure your mom is really enjoying those videos.

Senior year is almost over. That could be both exciting and a little scary. ;)

I'm picturing "little ducks all in a row".

I can see it now - a Disney hat and some awesome shades as she leads the crew along the miles. (Or mile, since they just have a short time.) :cool2:

******************************************

When Jill finally had time to do pictures last night (Brooklynn had practice and was with John, she was home at a reasonable time, and the house was sparkling clean), Photobucket wasn't working!

So onward we will go, until she gets another chance to do safari pictures and videos. Just keep in mind that we went on a safari, and when you see it again, remember that it is the one and only safari we did, not a second one.

I really can't remember where I left off, so hang with me here.

We finished the safari,

IMG_1016.jpg

and went walking onward to learn about a variety of animals.

I thought this was interesting.

Never surprise a hippo at night! :scared1:

The moral of this story is 'Never brag near a wicked hare'. :sad2:

IMG_1043.jpg

Can you see me now?

IMG_1044.jpg

Moving on.

I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky....

IMG_1045.jpg

Who goes there?

IMG_1047.jpg

There were not many meerkats out, and we usually see lots of meerkats. We decided that had forgotten to tell the animals that the park was having morning EMH. They were probably all still clocking in. :upsidedow

Next up, GO-rillas.

Look who is peeking out.

I love Animal Kingdom!!!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the safari pics!!!!

Love how involved kids get to be at Disney!!
Brooklynn looks so engrossed in what the CMs are showing her!!

I love those 'rillas. The expressions on their faces are just priceless. I am afraid I'm one of those who perhaps haven't given AK it's due and will try to rectify that... but cannot stomach birds... or snakes... or bats... or other things I have forgotten but reserve the right to mention.

IMG_1039.jpg
I love this picture! Very pretty. I don't recall the hippos being in the same pool with the cichlids, but it sure looks like one in the background. Or is it a rock? Either way it's a great picture. They are beautiful fish. And the baby gorilla is the cutest thing ever! :cutie:

I totally agree with you... for us AK is in no way a 1/2 day park. There are too many little treasures and jewels tucked away to rush through that fast.

I think it was those cute, fluffy Princess skirts that someone wanted to know SKU numbers and prices on.

I bet she's so excited! I know I am excited for her! :dance3:

I found them and bookmarked them so I can show her. :thumbsup2 I'm going to write it down, too, and put it in the same envelope as our friend's money and one remaining earring. I am so excited to get pictures from her!

So cool that you guys got to see the baby gorilla!

I thought the kids' drawings were really very good!!
I remember seeing that baby gorilla too - so cute! We spent a good 15 minutes staring at her and the momma and talking to the CM there. Very interesting!

The kids' drawings were amazing!
And the territory/feeding grounds sketch was fascinating, & so detailed. Just glad it's not super-detailed on some of the stinkier parts. :rolleyes1
Love the photos of the baby gorilla and the hippo, both peeking out at us.

I will have to remember that tidbit about the hippos at night the next time I am on the Jungle Cruise. :lmao:

Okay, I love the mental image of the animals all arriving at AK and clocking in. :rotfl2:

Darling little Lily! :lovestruc

Chelsea was entertaining us with little-known facts she had read last night when we took a walk around the neighborhood. Here are a couple for you that seem appropriate with the AK pictures: giraffes can clean their own ears because their tongues are 21 inches long , and they have no vocal cords.

Love the gorilla pics. I love watching them (watching us) On our last trip one of them was so funny. He/she kept moving spots & then looking at us to see if we were watching. Then they went behind a bush & peeked out.
Baby Lilly is so cute.

Can't wait to see that baby gorilla again!! Last May she was still hanging on to mama and I only caught a glimpse of her, so excited at the chance to see her more clearly :goodvibes
