My friend and her family are coming down to WDW to stay with us for a trip next June after we finish up a cruise. They are going to come down a day earlier and stay at the Holiday Inn at Disney Springs. She wants to spend the day at Typhoon Lagoon before we all meet up the next day to move into our DVC resort. Since she’s not staying at a DIsney hotel she won’t qualify for the free water park tickets for the day I’m not there. I noticed though that when I log in to the Disney World website and try to purchase tickets for Typhoon lagoon I get a decent discount for the price (195 dollars for a family of 4 vs 302 regular price). It looks like it will let me assign the tickets to anyone in my friends and family list. Do I need to be in attendance or can I buy them the discounted tickets and assign them to her family and just have her pay me back? I don’t want her to get to the water park and have them ask her to see my Blue Card or me NEEDING to be there. If anyone can confirm, I’d like to hear it before I might make a 200 dollar mistake.
