Funniest Lines in WDW Attractions

Its a VISUAL PUN.

There is, hanging in the room, a net full of jello.
The Muppet pre-show area is full of these kind "dual-meaning" visual jokes.

If you don't "get it", that's part of the fun.

Those who DO have even more of a laugh.

OMG i just got it. i quoted you to ask what the big secret was and why it couldn't get explained...and then suddenly i heard myself say "i just don't know much about annette funicello..." and there it was.
its not so much a visual pun, as it is a mad lib!!!! i was thinking how do i wait until december to go and see it to see the pun...

so now i am LMAO

One of my favorites is from JC with the elephants: "You may think that's water but it'ssnot" :lmao:

I always get a kick out of the somber CMs at the entrance to the Haunted Mansion who stay in character when herding guests into the "dead center" of the room. When I was a kid those people gave me the willies, but in a good way. And the pre-recorded narrator of the tour on that ride just kills me (no pun intended). I wonder who did the voice for that.

I love at the end of the comedy show in Comedy Wharehouse the audio recording that says....

Publication of descriptions, pictures or accounts of this game, without the express written permission of Major League Baseball is prohibited.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the narrator was the same guy who did the voice of Tony the Tiger. I want to say his name was Thurl, but I could be wrong.

I agree with you about the CMs at the HM. I had one that wouldn't stop staring at me with that "dead" look in his eyes. I of course couldn't stop laughing. We got in the car took off and the next think I know he sticks his head in the car and yelled "BOO". I couldn't stop laughing the whole ride. :lmao:

LoL--glad to know my family and I aren't the only ones.. :rotfl: I'm definitely going to have to check out ebay...

Count me in on the monorail..spanish version. Don't know why I love it, but I do! I also love the Muppets!!! Glad to see other people appreciate it like us.

Last August while on Jungle cruise our skipper (a young asian woman with a badge saying she was earning her ears and was from tokyo disneyland) she got to the cave/ancient temple part and said "Ah scary cave let's sing something to help me get throught it" then in a tiny tiny hysterical I CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE IT voice she started singing "it's a small world after all...."

she was the BEST skipper ever I wished i remembered everything she said!!! :goodvibes

Like most, we always laugh at "Paging Mr. Morrow..." There are so many things that my sister and I laugh at but I think our favorite is on test track when going up the hill..."Are you seeing an increase in lateral forces? Sure am!" Oh, I love that!

Thurl Ravenscroft is well-known as the voice of Kellogg's "Tony the Tiger".
He is also prominently featured in the HM, but not as the narrator.

He's the BASS vocalist in the singers of the HM song (Grim Grinning Ghosts).
His image can be seen as one of the "singing busts" in the graveyard scene.
Thurl is the singer with the mustache, the one who is often mistaken by guest as "Walt Disney" (Walt does not appear in the attraction).
(Thurl is also heard as "Fritz" the bird with the German accent in the Tiki Room.)

Here's a "GRRRRRR-ATE" pic of Thurl and his buddy, Tony:

The HM's NARRATOR is the wonderful voice-over artist, Paul Frees.
He was also the voice of "Boris Badenoff" in the Rocky & Bullwinkle shows.
He is ALSO the voice of "Poppin' Fresh" the Pillbury Doughboy!!
(Hard to believe that deep bass of the HM narrator can create that high fragile "giggle" of the Doughboy!)

Mr. Frees is also MANY MANY of the voices in Pirates.

He was used by Disney for other attractions as well, and his talents are heard in countless movies and TV shows.

He was able to create such wide VARIETY of voices, he was hired to "dub" many foriegn-language films (some where he played MANY of the various roles by himself!)

If you buy a copy of the CD that features various audio versions of the HM (it can be found at WDW, DLR and sometimes on Ebay) on it there are rare "out-takes" of Paul reading the "narrator lines" for the original HM. Some of these are hysterical when he flubs and/or tries "different ways" of reading the (now famous) lines.

Sadly, Paul Frees died a number of years ago.
And Thurl Ravenscroft passed away just last year.

But these wonderful talents can still be enjoyed by millions in the Disney attractions we love.
