So since my 'we're not going back until 2015...' to 'Oh dear I've booked 7 nights'... I've now only gone an extended it all to 12 lovely nights in Florida!

We're now going 28th September with Virgin from Manchester, staying 7 nights BC CL Garden View (Hello F&W festival!), 4 nights Bahama's cruise on Disney dream in Cat 5E deck 10, then 1 night at Animal Kingdom Lodge with Svannah View! Flying home on the 10th October.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

It only took me 1 hour on the phone to WDW, and a restructure of our finances :rotfl2:

I feel so much better knowing that its all now booked, and I can stop spending my time tracking flights. We've paid ever so slight less booking direct with Disney then If i had done it all DIY so I know feel like its an even better deal then when I had it down on paper :)

Can't wait to go now, hurry up 8 months! First time at all these resorts, and first ever Cruise, Ever!

Not sure what to do with myself now.... Oh maybe plan my ADR's! :dance3:

Congrats on the 5E, it really is a great balcony. We purposely avoided Deck 10 as we'd read a few complainted about noise levels (from Cabanas) but others have said it didn't bother them. For future reference the only Deck I would avoid with a 5E would be Deck 6 as the flag (when raised) is right outside the balcony and can be very noisy when flapping in the wind and can also obstruct the view somewhat.

Thanks Wilma! Took your advice on the 5E for the bigger veranda, was going to go with 6A but not much in it price wise.

I'm glad I went with deck 10 then as the only other one she could offer me was deck 6! Wouldn't want a noisy flag flapping around. I'd read a few reviews about noise from Cabanas but if I can sleep through DBF's snoring, I'm sure I can sleep through anything now! :)

Oh lovely! Maybe see you on the flight! I've never flown with Virgin before, so looking forward to something new!

Is it 60 days out you can choose your seat with Virgin? Do I need to get anything from Disney in order to do this? Booking ref etc?

No idea what the latest is on prebooking seats, now they have started charging £50 return for the service it won't be something I will be doing.

Thanks Wayneg, went with 4 nights after your recommendation! I'm sure I'll have lots of cruise questions in the run up..!

Look forward to helping :thumbsup2

Which cruise are you on? We've booked the 5th October :)

Defo gong to check out the blog now :)

We will not be cursing till 27th October - so I shall look forward to seeing your trip report! In terms of my blog - that is from our 2013 trip, I need to get back into blogging so will be doing so - not just Disney and florida... but but features heavily!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

So pleased you got booked. It all sounds lovely - especially the cruise! A friend of mine (who lives in US) is doing a Disney cruise with her boys (same age as my children) in March. Waiting to hear how she gets on and if it's good reports, I might be tempted in the future - although not before our 2015 WDW trip :thumbsup2 I was torn with trying out a cruise as part of that trip, but we'd have to cancel off US and DC plans, and I know which the children want to do more for their first trip! ;)

Looking forward to hearing more about your plans - ADRs etc :dance3:.

If by any small chance you find you have a smidgen of spare room in your case..... you know where to come :wave2:.

Thank you :)

Can't believe it's all booked, what am I going to do in the morning now I don't have to track flight prices ! Haha!

We were going to cruise on our first trip last year but decided against & I'm glad we did as everyday was jammed packed!

So this time we're going for a bit more relaxing, exploring the resorts etc so the cruise is a perfect add on :) although I've never cruised before so no idea what to expect!

Are you any closer to getting your holiday booked, or waiting to see the offers?

Thank you :)

I am sure it will be amazing for you both (and I'm pleased your DBF came around to the idea :thumbsup2).

No further forward on our trip. I've resigned myself to the fact I can't do anymore until April when local (direct charter) flights come out and hopefully some Disney offers :confused3. If the local flights are no good, it's waiting until September time when schedules release theirs. The fly drive prices I can get now are just silly - best was around £1200 pp from Manchester! :sad2: So, I am going to take a risk and wait....

Wow sounds amazing!!! You ll def have a great time.
Look forward to hearing about your planning now that you're all booked up x

Oh my £1200 pp! I do not envy those who have to pay school holiday prices! It really is unfair the way the shoot up the prices. When me & DBF have kids I doubt we'd be able to afford to take them the way they are going up every year & school holiday prices! I'll keep my fingers crossed you can get it a bit cheaper, we paid half what you're looking at! Just doesn't seem right.

I think you're right to wait, if your checking as much as it sounds like hopefully you won't miss any cheaper prices. It might work out cheaper to book directly with Disney too, it did for us rather then booking direct with Virgin online :)

DBF didn't exactly come round to it all, I just booked it! Ha! He is excited now though, especially as I've shown him the ESPN bar a stones throw from our hotel! :D

Yes it's not nice paying those prices but the UK travel industry know exactly when to hit with the hikes :sad2:. I wouldn't take my children out of school though - day or so on the end or something, but my oldest is getting too big to miss school. We really want to go for 3 weeks, but we'll have to see what the prices are, we may have to scale back, largely due to the flight prices . We've agreed we do not want to go indirect.

Ha ha - about the ESPN bar - he may have a bit of a problem on the ship - but gloss over that bit :lmao:. I think you'll be hooked by the time you finish that cruise you know..... :goodvibes

That's exactly what the Disney CM told me today whilst I was booking! You'll want to cruise every year. Haha! :D I cannot see it ending well for my bank balance....! I have to get all my Disney fix done this year, I've already been told next year is definitely no America! (I'm in NYC in feb for 8 nights, and last year did NYC, Florida & Vegas!) I think DBF needs a change, next year might be Africa :( no Mickey Mouse on Safari, I've tried telling him Animal Kingdom is just as good...! ;)

I was always taken out of primary school for a holiday as my parents couldn't take seasonal time off but never in high school. I think it's much harder to do nowadays though, not sure id like the fine!

Yeah I was adamant on direct this time, we did indirect last time & it meant we missed all of our last day as our domestic flight was so early so I wanted direct this time, more time at Dis, and less faffing! Have you looked at Thomas Cook they seem to come up cheaper then Virgin, or Condor? They came up on Kayak when I was religiously searching.
