Love the pictures at SAB. I am sick here at work, so it was nice to be transported there:thumbsup2

The Dis meet looked like fun. As I finished reading, I realized we will be there the same dates as you. Hopefully, we can work out a meet. I don't have my plans in front of me, but I am pretty sure we are at MK that Sat, AK Sun, EP Mon, back to MK on Tues, and can't recall the rest right now.

At my work in Murfreesboro, I manage office buildings. Someone, put fliers in our lobby about Caleb's Run. I am supposed to pick them up per the building owners, but I left them there. I didn't realize he was the one that hit his head and that you know him. I am praying for him and plan to donate some (just can't do the run).

I just got all caught up! I've been so busy the past few weeks I haven't had any DIS time :sad2: Lots of exciting stuff has been happening in the past few weeks! If you didn't see on facebook, I got my driver's license  I was so nervous about failing the test. I know I'm a good driver but it's just so subjective because they're judging you based on 10 minutes in the car.

I also started my college applications. I talked to my guidance counselor and she said that if I wait for the normal deadline(as opposed to the early action deadline in December) in February, I can send them my grades from this semester. I'm definitely doing that because my grades right now are better than they've been since middle school. The issue is that my guidance counselor is pregnant and she's the one that has to send my grades in to the schools. The semester ends Jan 28, my applications are due Feb 1, and her due date is Feb 8 :scared1: As long as she's not a week early I should be okay but cross your fingers  She said she can figure out a back up plan if that happens so I think I'm okay.

Brooklynn's so much braver than me. I wouldn't go on ToT until I was 15 :rotfl: They must have changed the height requirement at some point because when I was 6 I was too short and I was tall for my age.

We'll be at Pop from February 26th to March 2nd. :cool1:

Oh! If we do end up going in 2011 I'll probably be there then!

It was certainly nice when I missed some school last Nov/Dec to go for the holidays. The crowds were so low but I agree, we rarely wait in long lines anyway so it doesn't matter much :goodvibes

We're still considering TN but also really thinking about FL now. Chris has family in FL and since we're moving away from all of our family up here in NY we think it'd be nice to have his FL family close. It's still up in the air until we have enough $$ saved up to move anyway! :thumbsup2

I agree - go be near family. As mine gets more spread apart, I realize that we are going to have to really work at it and spend a lot of money to get rare times together. I would say Georgia would be easier on you weatherwise, since you are making such a drastic change, and it's still plenty close to/yet far enough away from Disney World, but since you have thrown in a 'family' factor, I'd go with Florida now.

I am a home schooling mom, and I have never done many of the educational things at Epcot. It sounds like a good plan for our next trip. We have a trip scheduled for next month, Dec. 13-18. I feel like we should cancel it because of my recent hospital stay and all the bills that go along with that, but my husband says we are still going. So, it sounds like I have no choice.;)

Go and enjoy for all of us! I am sure you need it after being sick. It will brighten your entire holiday, and if you share lots of nice pictures with us, it will brighten ours, too! :santa:

I think this is what we're doing:
Coming in at lunch time Saturday, we'll go to Magic Kingdom.
Sunday - Hollywood Studios
Monday - Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - Magic Kingdom again
Wedenesday - Epcot

Looks like we can meet in Magic Kingdom on Tuesday. Maybe we can meet you in Fantasyland and the little girls can ride a couple of rides together?

I don't know Caleb personally, but I just know a family connection. I doubt he will ever be the same, and he has a long, hard road ahead of him, but little ones are pretty resilient, so I hope for wonderful progress in the years ahead. I'll try to get an update from Katie today.

Oh! If we do end up going in 2011 I'll probably be there then!

Congratulations on your license! I know you are a very cautious and kind driver.

Your counselor will have everything worked out and covered before she leaves, so don't stress about it.

If you are in Disney World when we are, you can hook up with us and Stasieki to ride a couple of Fantasyland rides one morning. :)

Tues MK would work. We have BBB at 8:00 and then CRT at 10:00 AM, so between 9:00 and 10:00 my plan was to stay in Fantasyland so that could work out! Maybe a joint Dumbo Dash at rope drop. At some point before we part ways, Small World would be fun b/c we can get on a boat together. I bet the girls would have fun together. Maybe Brook and family could join us and the girls can fight over Henry - haha - just kidding. And, I think I read about another Dis family on your TR that will be at the World too?

I think our Toon Town rope drop is scheduled for Saturday since we have CRT Tues if I am thinking straight. I have a cold, so thinking straight isn't working out too good:rotfl2:

Thank you! I think my parents were more nervous about my test than I was. My dad said he didn't sleep the night before :rotfl: He sounded so relieved when I called him and said I passed. My mom wasn't nervous until I actually got in the car with the instructor, but then she was a nervous wreck

That would be awesome! I can't guarantee my mom getting up early enough but I'd be there :thumbsup2

I know you guys deal with a similar situation with Jill being in Alabama and Trent being in Florida. The thought of having his family to lean on will make it slightly easier since we'll both be leaving our families up here. It's sad to think of but I know it's the right decision. I might be asking you for some coping tips though, MeMom, when that day comes that we actually move!

Hi there! Long time reader....and lurker:rolleyes1 on your reports. I was waaay behind and I took the last few days to catch up and to my suprise you guys are planning on a dismeet in my town!:yay:

I live in Fenton, MO about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown St Louis. If you guys need ANY help/advice about lodging or places to see let me know!

I highly recommend our zoo...they say it is one of the best in the country (I wouldn't know it is the only zoo I have ever been to). Parking is a steep $11 a car...I think, but you can park anywhere in Forrest Park for free and walk to one of the entrances. Entrance to the zoo is free. The carousel, train, children's zoo, sea lion show and the stingray encounter (last 2 are only during summer) cost...I don't know prices just yet but I can find out. We are members so we just show our card for those things. If you are members at another zoo that is affiliated with ours I think you get some sort of discount. Near the South entrance across Highway 40 (there is a bridge) there are VERY large concrete turtles (Turtle Park) they are a fun place to bring kids to to climb around on.

Grants Farm is pretty cool too. It is free to get in as well but you do have to pay for parking (I think it was $11 the last time we went). It is a good 1/2 day place. The shows are free but you do pay for the carousel and bottles for feeding the goats. There is a bird and elephant show and you can see the famous Budweiser Clydesdales in the barn in the parking lot. I will have to keep my eyes and ears out for this place though. Rumor is when Anhueser Busch was bought out the new company doesn't want the up keep on Grants Farm. I think they want either the state or county to take it over. I can post up picks from our visit in Septmeber if anyone is interested.

The arch....eh. I have been up in it once and that is about enough for me. It is nice to see once though. And yes the cars that take you up are VERY scary! If it is windy they won't let you go up.

As for lodging.. There is a Drury Inn about 2 miles from our house. My family has stayed there in the past and they really like it. It has a full free hot breakfast and popcorn in the evenings and you get 2 free drinks in the evening. I can get the phone # for anyone if you are interested. Lots of family friendly restraunts nearby and a Walmart and Target close if anyone forgets anything!

Sorry that was sooo long! I just thought you would want a hometowner's opinion on the place. I have lots more to suggest....let me know!

Oh yeah and I definately want to be there! We are going to WDW May 4 to 14 so if you could leave those dates out of the running I would greatly appreciate it!

Another great update. I think we could spent hours in Innoventions, there is so much to do. Did Bella enjoy a nap while y'all were playing?

What a great Dis Meet. Love the picture of everyone together. My favorite picture is of Anita after drinking beverly.:rotfl: She was such a good sport. Brooklynn deserved her treat for tasting beverly again.

Ahhh...Soarin'. :cloud9: It is such a fun, relaxing ride. I am always more than happy to wait for row 1!

Innoventions is always so much fun. I can't remember where it was, but one time there was even a display and video playing about my type of hearing aid! It was neat!

 The Beverly! Club Cool is always a fun place to go. I am sad that we didn't make it there this trip!

Small World sounds good. My dashing isn't so pretty anymore. You guys can dash, and I'll take pictures when I get there. ;) The girls got along very well at Opry Mills, so I am sure they would have a great time in Disney World. We'll make sure Brook knows about that meet, and if they can make it, that will be great! :cool1:

You can let us know when it's closer to Magic Kingdom day. We can fill up a whole Small World boat!

Tips? Just get a big box of tissue. We don't do so well on the goodbyes. Once we're gone and back to working and life, it's not as hard, although we still miss him a whole lot, and he misses us, but the parting is really sad.

With Jill, although I do shed tears almost every time, I know I will be seeing her again pretty soon. We usually see each other every other week or at the most we'll go three weeks, just depending on what's going on.

I think the only thing that will stop us from doing this is lack of money. It sounds like there are a lot of DISers who could make a St. Louis meet, so I hope we can do it.

What a great Dis Meet. Love the picture of everyone together. My favorite picture is of Anita after drinking beverly. She was such a good sport. Brooklynn deserved her treat for tasting beverly again.

I bet my face is just atrocious-looking after a bgi swig of that medicinal tasting drink.

Soarin' is my favorite ride in any park, as of now.

Innoventions is also a good place to spend some time if it is raining.

We don't go in there too often, but it was a good place to meet, since it would be easy for us to find each other. :thumbsup2

After the big DIS meet, my group walked back to the Pop bus stop. Jill and John were going to go eat at Le Cellier, and I was taking the girls back to Pop for play and rest. I took both girls and one stroller, and they kept one stroller with them to bring back later. Jill will have pictures of their meal/time in Epcot later.

Back at Pop, there was water fun.

First at Goofy's.

Then at the kiddie pool.

We were still at the pool when Jill and John got back.

IMG_7280.jpg

They said the meal was excellent.

Bella wanted to walk, so I followed her and recorded her travels.

After the swimming, Jill said she thought they were just going to stay in for the evening, get the girls to bed early, and call it a night - rest, watch TV, etc. I decided to hop a bus to Hollywood Studios and take a few pictures.

Anyway, that's what I did - just took a few pictures on the streets and of merchandise, and then I thought I'd go back and call it an early night, too.

Or not.

You can let us know when it's closer to Magic Kingdom day. We can fill up a whole Small World boat!

I really hope I can make it to that! We're still not sure if we can go in 2011 with college coming up but if we do it'll probably be that week. I'd rather go in Feb than April. I like the cooler weather, the crowds are better, and Easter is during my April vacation this year and we want to be home for that. Usually I wouldn't be there that week in Feb but for some reason my vacation is a week later this year.

I was at my grandma's house with Josh and Kazin on Monday. My grandma has a Minnie magnet on her fridge and Kazin went over to it and said "Mee Mouse!" I told him to give Minnie a kiss and he kissed the magnet :lovestruc He didn't stop talking the whole time we were there. I had no idea what he was saying, except for a few words but it was entertaining :rotfl:

We did "What's your problem" that day too. And guess what...My dad was a part of the show. Does anyone want to see a video? It was HILARIOUS, more so because it was my Dad. :rotfl:

Wigd, Brooklynn and I were the "bravest" :lmao: The only reason I did it was because it was a Beverly Dismeet after all. I'm cracking myself up remembering Brooklynn's reaction after her tiny sip. :rotfl2:

Bella's travels around Pop are so cute, she was ALL smiles.

Wonderful pictures of the girls enjoying the water.

Thanks for taking all those ABC photos at DHS. The game was so fun.

Can't wait to find our is you went back to Pop or onto somewhere else.

Love the pics of the DISmeet at the Cool Club...what a fun place to meet! Can't believe there were a few brave souls willing to try Beverly again...ick! :scared: I've tried it a couple of times...no thank you!

The pictures of the girls at the pool are darling...looks like they were having a ball! :goodvibes

Thanks for the pics of Hollywood Studios...what a nice way to start off my day by bringing me right back to Disney!

Sweet pictures of the girls. Bella sure seemed to love walking around Pop, she's too cute!

Come Monday I will be walking around DHS :cheer2:

I have a feeling some fireworks and a parade might be involved at your next destination.

I love the pictures of the girls. They sure do seem to love the water.

They sure do. They had a great time, and water play is always good for good hard sleep later on. :)

Our spring break is two weeks later next year. It's been being in March, but next year, it's in April. I don't think I have ever been in February, so even though it is the last few days of February, it'll still be something new.

Bella says some things we don't understand, too, but she gets enough major words in so we can figure it out in a few minutes.

We did "What's your problem" that day too. And guess what...My dad was a part of the show. Does anyone want to see a video? It was HILARIOUS, more so because it was my Dad.

It is payday Friday, so I can't complain. ;)

That's what the good old DIS is for - keeping us in Disney World whenever we want an escape.

Beverly tastes like a bad medicine to me. Yuck!

Sweet pictures of the girls. Bella sure seemed to love walking around Pop, she's too cute!

Come Monday I will be walking around DHS

That is very exciting! :woohoo:
Have a grand time, and bring back lots of pictures.

I have a feeling some fireworks and a parade might be involved at your next destination.
