First names you would never call a child of yours?

Well sure and I get that too. I'm talking about people who plan to call their kids by their middle names from the get go. I don't get it.

My MIL thought Susan would be a good name for a girl...Susan Smith, yeah, I'll pass on that one (although no one probably remembers now)

I went to school with a Susan Smith, but that was years before the infamous incident. I wonder how the likely hundreds of Susan Smiths felt during the mid 90s.

I also went to school in the mid 70s with a Karen Quinlan, and that was the same time the other Karen Quinlan's case was in the news, in case anybody remembers it.

Gertrude, Mildred, Blanche, Martha (say it with a Boston/Mainer accent- Mahtha or Mahther and you'll understand why!), Maude, Ida. Can't really think of any boys' names.
