February 20, 2011 DREAM

Hey guys, we're sailing on the 2/20/11 cruise, too. It's part of our B2B that starts on 2/17/11!

It's me, my DH, 2 DS (15&16). We are SO excited for the new ship.

This will be our 4th & 5th Disney cruise. We've done a 3, 4 & 7 night before.

Lot's of chatting to do!!!

We're thinking of doing a B2B on these dates as well. We've already got the 4 nighter booked and have a hold on the 17th. I've read mixed reviews about doing B2Bs. Does anyone reading this have any insight? I probably would prefer a 7 night sailing but really want to be on the new ship so I think even the hassle of getting on and off will be worth it. This will be our first Disney cruise!! So excited.

I did a b2b cruise once of course both weeks were 7 night sailings on the Disney magic so different ports, but I'd love doing a b2b cruise again and I'd enjoy it more on the Dream, but I'll be doing a b2b cruise on the Disney Wonder Repo from LA to Alaska and then first Alaska one, so I'll live with doing a 4 night on Dream, beggers can't be choosers. Good thing about b2b you get to know the crew more:cool1:

We just switched our plans from April 2011 to this cruise! We are so excited! DH and I sailed RCCL on our honeymoon 10 years ago...this will be our first family cruise (with DD 7 at cruise time)...hoping that our travel buddies, my cousins' family (her DD will be 7 and DS will be 5) will be joining us!

Trying to decide...pre-cruise WDW stay??
Also, anyone done the Blue Lagoon at Nassau?

Happy Feb 20 everyone!!! Hope the next year goes SUPER, SUPER fast!!!! It's time to make a ticker or two.

We will be doing our first family cruise as well. :yay: Our DD will also be 7 and other DD will be almost 5.

I haven't told my daughter yet...have you told your kids? We are going to try to keep it a secret, maybe have it as a Christmas present??? Doubt we can pull it off, but who knows?

It will be nice to have more kids the same age...maybe they will play together! My daughter is Erin; my cousin's kids are Lily and Noah. We are on the 9th deck.

Are you going to do the fish extender? I just learned about this yesterday, sounds like it would be fun for the kids.

Booked onboard for Thanksgiving 2010 on the Magic, but just switched to the B2B (2/20 and 2/24) on the Dream! Biggest factor...DCL confirmed that my DS, who will turn 18 Dec. 2010, can still participate in the teen club and activities since he'll still be in high school.

My parents are coming too! Woo hoo!

Me, DH, DS (18 at time of sail), DD (16 at time of sail)

Yes I've already caved in and told my girls. I'm no good with secrets when it comes to something so exiting for us and them!

We are on deck 7 in an inside room, which I've never been in but for cost savings and the fact that we won't spend much time there I think it will be fine.

I have to learn more about the fish extender. I've read a little bit and it sounds fun.

Welcome Magic!!! Our kids are the same age :) My son will be a senior and this is my DD's 16th birthday present. I'm sure they'll get to know each other in the clubs.

Hey all hope your all well. So I leave for a cruise for my 22nd birthday in 13 Days, so at this time next Sunday I should either be on the Disney Magic and in Key West. After that cruise I canstart planning for this one because it will be next:cool1::thumbsup2

:sad2:Hey guys...not on this cruise with you all anymore :sad2: We're doing the B2B 2/10 & 2/13, now. School pulled a fast one on us & is having vacation the week before President's Day...:confused3! Have fun!!

Hi everyone!

We will be on this cruise too...me, DH and DS (13). This will be our first cruise. We were supposed to go on a Carnival cruise on 2/11/10 but a snow storm caused our 2/10 flight to be canceled and we couldn't get another flight until 2/15. We missed the boat, literally and figuratively! HUGE lesson learned...buy trip insurance!! We did not and lost over $1300. I've already purchased insurance for this Disney cruise, ;) !

Anyway, we are really looking forward to this cruise and being on a brand new ship. We are on deck 7, stateroom 7088.

Now to decide on Atlantis or Blue Lagoon....

I hope this doesn't happen to us...I am awaiting the school calendar any day now! Have wonderful time!

Yikes, we booked our holiday with just my intuition about when the winter break would be as well, but even if it isn't during our week, we are still sticking to our original plans. I assumed that with Easter in 2011 being at the end of April, that they would have our holiday up here in Canada the week of our cruise but we won't know the school board plans for a couple months yet. Keeping our fingers crossed.

We had a great time in Costa Rica, very, very hot there around 100F everyday, with no rain, very lucky!

Just about never made it though, we were to fly out from Regina, SK on Friday morning but got a call from United @ 11pm Thurs. night saying that the flight from Denver couldn't land in Regina due to heavy fog so they cancelled the flight. Meaning we had no plane to leave with on Friday morning.

I was on the phone with United for about and hour trying to find flights with 5 seats to Denver on Friday. With the Olympics up here there wasn't a seat to be had, but the agent found us seats on a flight out of Williston, ND at 2:30 pm. We just had to drive the 4 hours across the border and get there, which we did, and caught the flight and managed to get to Chicago that night for our flight out to Costa Rica the next morning.

Quite a gong show, but I did get the name of the agent from United and will be sending a thank-you letter to him and his boss for going above and beyond for us. We didn't have insurance for our trip as well, so he definitely saved the entire trip for us!!

We are planing to travel a few days early next Feb., B4 the cruise to do the parks and give us some leeway in the event of nasty weather.

Welcome to all the newcomers and best of luck to Jodi and family on their other cruise.

Now lets see if I can get a ticker......

Gord

Hello Everyone!

My family and I (and 10 others) will be cruising on this cruise as well :thumbsup2 We are also doing a B2B with the cruise that leaves the 24th! It is Me, DH, DS (10 - 11 at cruise time) and DD (7 - 8 at cruise time).

This will be our 5th and 6th Disney Cruises (3 MAGIC and 1 WONDER previously).

We have always had email buddies for the kids so they have some friends before getting on the ship so if anyone is interested in that, please let me know.

We have also done the FE Gifts on all cruises except our first so we would love to be signed up for that.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone! :)

Welcome!

My DD will turn 7 in January, about a month prior to the cruise. I'm sure she would enjoy talking to someone else her age and it would be fun to already have a "friend" when she gets on the ship. I also have a 4 year old DD. The girls have never been on a cruise before. We are doing a B2B as well, but starting on the 17th.

Hi everyone,

Just got back from a 4-day on the Wonder (2/21/10) with my parents and two children. We had a nice time -- had a lot of rain, but it really didn't hamper our "fun" at all. Here's hoping for SUNNY skies and smooth sailing in Feb 2011! :cheer2:

I'm really excited for this upcoming trip as a family we've (Mom/Dad and 2 kids ages 9 and 7) sailed with 2 times last year (Mom/Dad and 4 kids - ages 16, 14, 12 and 9) plus another friend and family (Mom/Dad and kids ages 8 and 6) that are joining us for the first time will be cruising -- so it's sure to be fun had by all!!!!

Ok - well not looking forward to returning to "reality" tomorrow (aka work and kid's school/routines) but a girl's got to do, what a girl's got to do!

Looking forward to chatting with you all this year! :)
