February 20, 2011 DREAM

I was thinking of doing Universal and Sea World. We never do that, we always just stay at Disney. I haven't been to Universal since the year it opened! I want to arrive in Fla Friday night, stay somewhere near the port and on Saturday go to the Space Center.

Spectrum - Definitely go to Universal! It's changed a lot since you've been there!!!

We are doing Universal next summer when we go to WDW. I am thinking to get an annual pass so I can go again after the cruise.

Boy it's been quiet here for the last week or so, everybody out east must be spending all their time shovelling snow! We are just at the start of a prairie snowstorm ourselves. :scared1:

Just here to wish everyone a great Christmas and hope the snow stops falling. :cold:

Yeah! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & stuff!! Shoveling has been a family highlight for the last few weeks.:thumbsup2 Although I can't imagine that we've had as much snow as you guys up in Canada, eh?;)

Jodi,

Suprising as it may seem but we don't get a lot of snow here in the winter, we had no snow and great temps right up until Nov. 30 and then we got about 3 inches of snow and up until today we only have about 4-5 inches on the ground. We are expected to get up to 10 inches today but I don't think we will get that much.

Up here in Saskatchewan we get mostly extreme cold -30 to -40 for 1 to 2 week stretches, before warming up to -10 for a few days and sometimes strong winds to make it even more pleasurable! We cycle through that most of the winter but as for snow, the last few years we probably get between 1 and 3 feet all winter.

Happy New Year to everyone as well.

Hope everyone had a good holiday and I'm sure you all are eager to get back to a normal routine!

It's -33 here this morning, but Florida seems to be having a cold go of it this week too.

Hi all from snowy Massachusetts!
I was so excited this week when we made our decision to cruise Disney again on 2/20/11! We're looking forward to reliving the "Disney magic" we've experience in our past four cruises with DCL. We are bunking in connecting rooms 11B. We're(DH 36 & I 34) travelling with our four kids (DD 9, DD 8, DS 6, & DD 4).
We've never participated with DIS board events on the ship... Is there a meet & greet? I've read about the fish extenders. How do we know how many will be exchanging little gifts?
Can't wait to hear the details!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Welcome! I don't know too much about exchanging little gifts or meets, but I have read about fish extenders. Please fill me in!

Glad to have you on board, Heather and crew.

We have had a informal meet and greet on a couple of our cruises but I haven't been involved in a gift exchange (would like to know more). The fish extenders is something I have known about but we usually have homemade door magnets specifically for the cruises we have been on. I will see if we have a pic or 2 I could post showing what we have made.

I just found this thread, My dad and I will be joining you all on this cruise, I'll be 22 at the time of it:cool1:

Hi everyone! I am so happy to be joining y'all on this cruise. I am so excited to cruise on the Dream!! It will be me, my DH, DD (15 at sail) and DS (5 at sail). I think we have booked a category 5e. All of this is so new with the new ship. I am really looking forward to the new, but loved the old. I have loved every one of our previous DCL cruises and have no idea how they will be able to improve on them! This will be the 7th one for us--except for DS it will be his 6th.

Welcome all you newbies, good to see our ranks swelling.

We are getting quite the weather up here, just had a blizzard on Sunday that brought a foot of snow with a 40 mile an hour wind, needless to say the drifts are 10 feet high in some places! Now our temp for tonight is -20F with a wind chill of -35. We are ready for the cruise to be here NOW.

Hope everyone is doing fine after the Christmas break and are back into normal routines.
