We got back late last night. We went on for the next cruise, and then to Kadani for a few days (LOVED IT), then started the long ride home visiting friends and family as we went.

I have to agree about Cabanas, it was crazy. I only went back there 1 more time over the 7days. We went to the Enchanted Garden for breakfasts. No point getting stressed at breakfast...KWIM?

Our take on the new ship was positive overall, but we did miss the classic ships. It was little things that just made it not as "nice". It was a feeling, nothing major (well, except for that Cabanas...)

Anyway, we are in discussion about going on the Magic 7day next year before the Fantasy gets started. Wish me luck!

We agree with the above post. We were told to just "jump in line" even I thought that was rude and that is what they wanted us to do. I was surprised that the waiters were not so helpful with the children at our table. They wanted plain cheese pizza and were told they could only have spinach and chicken. That was a surprise. They did not want it and ate mac n cheese for the entire trip. It bothered me and it was not even my children. They really need more choices for kids and more healthy options. Mac n cheese and chicken nuggets are fine for the parks but not for the boat. We did find there was too many people for us. Maybe it was the week we went. I was wondering why they did not add more pool space given the ship capacity. Every time we looked it was packed. We did have fun but wished we had tried a smaller ship with less capacity. We had an great time at OKW and BLT and would do them both in a heartbeat. Planning on summer time trip just to BLT maybe spending a day at US or SW.

They also dropped the 5pm dinner show and went back to only 2 shows a night. This was better as we were scheduled to have the 5pm show but never made it to any. We just waited to enter the theatre for the later shows and it wasn't a problem at all.

Did they drop the 5 o'clock on all 3 shows? Melanie mentioned they were going to drop the 5 o'clock show of the Golden Mickys. She also mentioned dropping the first sail away party.

We didn't like the way they ran Cabanas as compared to Topsiders on the Magic and Wonder. Seemed to be a lot of confusion in there especially the first day when we entered in the middle of the buffet line and we weren't shown which way to start. We were told the next day to just squeeze in the line for whatever item you wanted but people thought you were just butting in line and we got the odd look of disgust. We are so used to standing in line that it was difficult to deviate from that way of thinking.


I agree about Cabanas, I think it is a good idea in theory but unless its all repeat cruiser no one will get used to it.


What do you guys think?

Very big ship and sometimes too many people. It was beautiful but not sure if we will do it again. May stick with the smaller ships.

I'm going to hold my judgment until I try it again during a less busy time to cruise, probably on the Fantasy instead of the Dream, it was a full and new ship with a learning curve. I will continue on the "classic" ships, I'm on the Wonder in 7 weeks, and have a dummy date on the Magic in hopes of new itineraries, as well as a Fantasy booking in April.


Can't complain about the weather though it was incredible!!

so did anyone else get a chance to meet the bartender Augusto in Evolution? He is awesome made the best chocolate martini's and knew me by name after the first night

Yes and I need to know more about him. . .I just got off the Fantasy and I assume we are talking about the same guy. . .from Brazil???
