13 cruises! And you have done the Eastern before? please share your tips and experiences! I bet you will not have a problem getting those ressies, seems like a light ship on bookings so far! Have you sailed in September? Hoping the weather is good that time of year!

Thanks for the warm welcome Tara. I will post a link to my trip report when I get a moment We did a 3 night cruise on the Dream last September and the weather was perfect, roll on September, I'm not a winter person

Ok...so i have a few questions and who better to ask then my shipmates!
Online it says i can check in june 25th, i can also book palo ans spa reservations st that time right? Is that at midnight?

What other onboard activities would you recommend booking at that time?

Do you pay right then for those reservations?

I can fill out everything online, print and bring it with me that way all we have to fill out is health info?

Curious as to how it works for boarding,your given boarding party mumber right? Where do you wait until your number is called and is it chaotic normally?
Sorryfor so many ? But pretty sure ill be asking many more!lol

yup ... Im doing a 5K this weekend For the Parkinson's Foundation.
Im really walking with DH... he has Parkinson's.. and his running days are over. So now we walk.

Sorry to say... we have to do Valentine's Day.... It's my birthday!
DH doesn't get off easy! 1 gift for V-day and 1 for my B-day!

No plans for Valentine's Day here, we don't 'do' that day, it's such a rip off with over priced flowers and restaurants. I hope you have a lovely birthday though

We'll be doing Disneyland in August... 2 days.
We're going down for a wedding in New Port Beach on the 12th and the
13th is ours. If memory serves me right anniversary is # 42

Not my anniversary but my birthday!! A GREAT DAY!

I just did go into my reservation (not using a TA yet..may switch later) and add our anniversary (August 29th, but the cruise is for our 20th) and my birthday...have never sailed during an 'event' ...by marking it on the reservation, what will they do? So excited!!

Our snorkels came in today...just had to DO something to make this cruise a reality! We can't wait to try them this summer and practice diving down with them...they are kind of bulky though, think we'll need a bag just for them! Wondering if it's necessary to bring fins as well? That would really take up space...

I have decided to stay at a hotel in Orlando the night before the cruise...we are driving down and should be able to get to Orlando by 3pm....that will give us enough time to enjoy the hotel...I just have not found many hotels in PC that look really 'fun'....we won't get to use the pools much on the ship (we just stay so busy and don't like sardine pools) so I found the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress that is supposed to have a great water park!

Here is my plan, get a room on the 20th floor (our 20th anniversary right ) that faces Disney, it will be a Friday night so they will most likely be shooting fireworks (too broke to afford tickets for five for the parks for one night) that we can see from the high room...spend lots of time sliding down the slides and playing in the pools then get up early and head out to PC..I found today on www.betterbidding.com where someone won a bid for that resort for $29!! Now, this resort does add $22 for 'resort' fee costs and parking but if I can get a room for under $60, and for this type of resort, I'm over it, even under a $100

So, making small strides in getting it pulled together!!
What plans are y'all making?? Still planning on DIY excursions...wondering if we'd all fit in a jeep rental on St. Maarten

I cannot believe all of the anniversaries that are going to be celebrated on our cruise! For us, it'll be #17!! Our anniversary is actually Aug 5, but Lord knows we could not afford to cruise at all in the month of August! My bday is in October, I will look for any excuse to celebrate anything on that cruise!! For the record, as far as Valentine's-we just really don't do it. Not to mention we will both be working that night..Ho hum I don't want him to get any gifts-I just want to save up any $$ we can for Sept....!!!

Mandy! I had a GREAT time going through your trip report!! I loved the pictures! Are you planing on doing the same thing or are you wanting to try something different?
It is a quiet weekend for us, I have been battling some kidney ailment (have been sick free for many many years, but the past 6 weeks have been cruddy...first contracted some strange strep infection above my eyebrow that knocked me out for over a week, then got a coughing thing that lasted 4 weeks, then due to the coughing just assumed my back pain was cough related, but turned out to be a kidney infection and after a week of antibiotics, I'm waking up every am in pain...I'm ready to be 100% again! UGH!) We have a new puppy and bless her heart she has to be sleeping against someone...normally, I would complain but her body heat is the only thing making my kidney feel better!
It is bitterly cold here, has been rather balmy all January, then winter decides to throw in some below freezing temps for 2 days and it throws us all off our game...ready for SPRING!!

Off to go look up some more trip reports to get ideas...what else can you do at 3am..ugh...I refuse to take medicine for the pain...so I just get woken up..I just always believe that pain is a gift and helps us know when something is awry..and it's not searing pain like it was 2 weeks ago, just gnawing relentless annoying pain..September is going to be GREAT to put the start of this year behind us!

Oh! And I say celebrate all you can on this cruise!! It's a Fantasy after all!!

Good morning Tara, thank you for taking the time to read my trip report, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm not sure what our plans will be for this cruise, we tend to take it easy, but I think I would like to get to Maho Beach in St. Maarten to see the planes come over the beach

Sorry to hear that you're in so much pain, I hope you're feeling better very soon. Aww bless your puppy needing to sleep next to someone, what breed is she ?

Back from our "Walk the Fight 5K" .... Oh my goodness.... Im sooooo tired!
Cant imagine how DH feels! And he's the one with Parkinson's! Between DH and the dog sleeping... all I could do is crank up the music and sing. Man... Im glad they were sleeping!

Tempe weather was great... everyone got abit sunburned
I swear the 4 hour drive home felt like a full day in the car.

Hope everyone had a great weekend too! Ok... working isn't fun on the weekend!

We also had a very rough 2011 and so far 2012 has been somewhat rough as well but I am positive it will become 100% better! Last yr we lost several family members including my ex husband, my sons father. My husband got laid off right before our WDW trip but was able to return back a few weeks after our trip thank the Lord.

Well I better get off here and hop in the shower and get to work! Wish I could just spend the day on the DIS!

Our puppy is a mutt, maybe boxer? But not very big, about 20 pounds at 6 months, she was rescued and a sweetie! will post a picture when I am not typing challenged on the Ipad
