EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I am locinf loving the idea of the pampered approach

Good. :)

One part of CL we love is portion control.

A second thing is the array of colorful fruits and veggies. We love treats, but we sometimes think we're alone in liking vegetables. When they are served at WDW, they are often greasy/drenched in dressing, highly salted, wildly under/overcooked, or mixed with strong seasoning. What is wrong with simply cooked quality veggies? Berries are also rarely served - especially fresh ones.

A third thing we love about CL, is less lines. That goes beyond just saving time. We love WDW, but a week of waiting in line for every morsel, every restroom, every interaction with a CM...wears thin. CL= a break from lines.

A fourth thing we love is the added lounge space. It's great if one person wakes up early, or wants to nap.

Hi all!
We have booked BWI-CL for our November stay. Tell me what you like don't like about BWI-CL, I'd love to hear your experiences. This thread is so big, so I have skimmed it, but I keep seeing a few things that concern me, like, no fridge in the lounge and stay away from the 3rd floor rooms. Can anyone enlighten me? I have a son who is pumped at the thought of being able to run down to the lounge for a soda, specifically Dr. Pepper, anytime he likes. Also, can I request our fridge be stocked with a few Dr. Peppers for him, or no? I have stayed CL at AKL and WL before, never asked for anything to be stocked but have heard some people do.

Just 130 some odd pages of posts to catch up on...
Subscribing for now....180 days to go until CR CL!

Unless something has changed there are only coke products available. You would have to purchase Dr. Pepper and have it delivered or bring your own. They will stock a coke product if they don't normally carry it in the lounge provided it is something they have elsewhere.

My son loved going down for snacks too. You can request milk at any time and ask, sometimes nesquick is available too.

We did a family reconnect last January with our eldest 1st year of college. It was a really great bonding time.

You will be glad you did. :)

I love fresh veggies and fruit!!!!
I am so excited how am I ever going to last 13 months. LOL, I keep telling myself only 7 months to ADRs

Hi all!
We have booked BWI-CL for our November stay. Tell me what you like don't like about BWI-CL, I'd love to hear your experiences.

First, each resort is unique. They are all very nice. So anything I might say I dislike is mostly only relative to other WDW hotels. Also, since BWK is being renovated, I don't know what's changed.

Dislikes: 1. high rates, esp rack rates! ;)

2. BWK main pool is deep. Fun pool slide, but area beneath slide is deep. Quiet pool area (incl a hot tub): quiet, relaxing, pretty landscaping, convenient to our room.

3. Sprawling resort. Very pretty, but we prefer efficient layouts.

4. WDW pizza

LIKES: 1. very convenient to Epcot/HS - closest of all hotels.

2. I understand some remodeling is happening, but we love the décor/theming of the BWK.

3. They are redoing Kouzzina! New concept +++! We love all the rest of the dining/shopping options of the BWK.

4.Oh, we love that the brewpub is walk-up only! No dumb 180 day ADR's. Some Swan/Dolphin take ADR's, but most have walk-up available.

5. WDW pizza is bleh, but the walk up window is convenient.

6. The whole lagoon is so pretty! It is especially pretty at dusk, coming from Epcot. To me, it is on par with the castle.

7. Weddings. The whole Epcot lagoon is popular for weddings.

Does anyone have any pics they can share of the 1 br suites at the Contemporary? Other than being smaller, is the lounge different on the 14th floor?

Good to know, thanks so much!

We will soon be headed to WDW for our first club level stay. Should we leave mousekeeping a larger tip than we would in a non club level room because of the extra turn down service? What do people typically leave for a daily tip?

I think generally two tips work better..one in the morning for mousekeeping and one in the afternoon for evening turn down... :thumbsup2

I kept running out of small bills to leave for tips on my last Poly cl stay. This time I am trying to stash small bills before I go.

Using the MB's to pay generally means you are not using cash, therefore not getting change back.

Before my trip in July I made cute envelops and put my tip inside. I made enough for my whole stay and put a date on them. Each day I would grab the correct envelop, leave it under mousekeepings name card and went on my way. It was really nice not having to think about it or make sure I had enough money each day. It worked perfectly. I would love to say it was my idea but I read it somewhere. Anyway, just wanted to pass it along!! :-) Can't wait for our first CL stay next summer. Yea!!!!!! :-)

This is what we do as well except not the cutest envelopes I've seen so many peeps have. Once I found envelopes with a design of our hometown states of California & Utah and switched them up ... California in the morning and Utah at night. I so agree with you LUVDisney having the envelopes and bills ready to go is a major plus : )

Ugh, I'd never thought of this.

My dd(11) and I are staying club level at WL Dec 13. We're pretty neat hotel guests. What amount would you recommend for the morning and evening tips?
Thanks!

I do $1 a person per day for morning. Usually just $1 total at night but if I catch the person in action and they hand me a handful of chocolates then I might leave or hand them $2.

I do nearly the exact same thing. I print envelopes before I leave and put $5 in the morning ones and $2 in the turn down ones. We usually go back to the resort midday so that is when we leave out the turn down envelopes on the bed (the morning ones, I leave on the shelf above the sink).
