EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Checked in to akl cl today for the first time, had been worried about room being far from lounge, but it's not the case at all ...very easy...they said they use to the first three pods off the lobby for cl guests..we are in the second on zebra trail ...and super easy to get to pool...view is great ...evening offerings great...so far so good!!! Any questions ?

How was check in at AKL CL for you? Also how was the crowd level during your evening offerings ect.? Once you try the bus services I'd love to read how the buses are for you as well.
We are staying for 10 nights November 9-19 and it's our first stay at AKL CL. Have a fabulous & Fun trip and enjoy!

Thank you - and thank you Mickeynut, i looked at that page a dozen times, not sure how I missed it. So is there No View if you end up in a 100 even numbered room???

You're welcome :).

I'm not sure what that view would be, but hopefully someone else will be able to answer that for you :flower3:.

I'm planning to book a bounce back offer during our November 2014 stay for a November 2015 stay. Trying to decide now which resort so I'm ready to book while I'm there? I'm planning on taking my twin granddaughters with us and they'll be just 14 yrs old at the time of travel. I have 3 resorts I'm thinking about ... CR atrium CL, Poly if the hotel is put back together by November 2015 which I need to look at big time since I don't so construction ( both CR & Poly I haven't stayed at in 18 plus years since we got hooked at GF ) or WL would be the 3rd choice which we've never stayed at so that would be new for all of us.
Which resort do you think two 14 yr old girls would like best? I guess any of the 3 since they'll be happy just to go, but they'll always stayed at GF on their trips with us so trying to wow them with something new for them : )
Any suggestions?

Well poly will have the new upgrades:thumbsup2

Cr is convenient if you do a lot of back and forth from MK .

Then again gf new rooms make for a return trip to be pleasurable too.

I'm not much help. :rolleyes1

I love the monorail resorts and especially CL:cloud9:

I just left for coffee and have to add my dd19 loves the atrium lounge but doesn't care for the theming of WL. My ds17 loves both WL and cr but doesn't like gf or poly.

It's early enough, have them look at pics of resorts and tell you what they like.

I think them looking at pictures is a great idea ... Not sure why I didn't think of that so thank you : ) they have been to both poly and CR for dining so maybe that will help to remind them of those two resorts too. My main concern is if poly will be put back together by then since it looks like their testing missiles there right now from the pictures I've seen yikes! I wouldn't even be thinking this far ahead yet I know bounce back offers need to be made while your at the resort during your stay and it's 3 months away now so I want to be ready to pick a resort or has that changed? Can you do a bounce back after your stay?
We're staying 10 nights at AKL CL followed by 4 nights at GF RP CL this November but for the first time ever just my husband and I. I'm also wanting some place I haven't been to in a long time or new to me for this girlie granddaughter trip in 2015 ... although after countless GF stays I always end up getting a little bit of GF in every trip (( crazy me ))
Another thought I had was a split stay between 2 of the resorts. I agree with your dd atrium is a great lounge and the view for fireworks is amazing. : )

I just made our reservations for Jan 2015 at the Grand Floridian club level, for 7 days. I have been reading all I can find on the daily food in the lounge. Does anyone know if the food is the same daily or if it changes on each day of the week, like all other club level resorts? just wondering. :cool1:

Figured this might be a good spot to ask this...

Is CL worth it the week beginning Saturday before Easter or is it so packed that it's more frustrating than a treat? I'm referring specifically to either GF SL or BC.

Wilderness Lodge Club Level Question: I can't seem to find a map of the 7th floor, only 1-6. Does anyone know if there is one out there? We are staying in a club level standard room with 2 queen beds and trying to figure out what the view options are. Thanks

we had one 7062 with 2 queens overlooking the smokehouse. It was a handicap room with a tub. The toliet, sink and tub were all in the same room with a sliding door.

Congratulations!!! :goodvibes There are the daily staples..for instance at breakfast there is always oatmeal..and a toasting station with different breads...but the muffins and pastries do change....in the afternoon there are always veggies and dips..and yummy fresh made potato chips....but the breads can change...and the veggie assortment too...there is always afternoon tea..with scones..:lovestruc and banana bread..and some days trifle too...as for the evening..the hot and cold appetizersa are different every day..with the exception of the cheese plates and breads...desserts seem to go the same way..there are some staples..cookies and rice crispy treats..but there are a variety of yummy cakes..and pastries that change...

Lots of good choices...:goodvibes

They only have a certain amount of CL rooms per resort CL so honestly I think you could have a busy CL trip at any time of the year. I do think both GF SL and BC tend to be busy most of the year so I don't think the week before Easter will be any more busy. Curious on everyone else's thoughts for sure ... But for us personally we found both CL resorts busy in the summer time and in the spring. Taking a second to think we did do SL many years ago during Easter spring break and it was the same as summer. But they've remodeled it very recently and I believe I read the configuration of the lounge has changed so it seemed busier to everyone who had return trips.

Thank you. Not sure what the smokehouse is, but if I'm looking at pictures correctly the outer "south wing" looks at. VWL and the enclosed walkway?? And the outer "North wing" would be the pond, woods, MK in the distance??

That makes sense and I'm guessing the CL rooms are probably full or close to it for both seasons. Did you still enjoy the lounge despite it being busy? This is indeed a "treat" for us as it's my 40th bday trip. I'm justifying the added cost because it's a special occasion, but I'd hate to regret booking it once there because it's just another area to fight the crowds. We'll be doing enough of that as it is I'm told!

Check in was ok...my requests never carried over. .but I got them anyway...room was ready but never received the text...The crowds at evening offerings were very mild...nothing compared to Polynesian club...that was crazy last year had a line ....my kids aren't really eating the apps definitely not your basics...but I love them!!!

I read somewhere on the DIS that the club lounges no longer have cold bottled water. Is this true?

It seems silly to have bottled water delivered! Does anyone know if there is filtered water available anywhere in WL? I could bring our water bottles from home...

Thanks!

WL CL question…

Has the shepherds pie been in rotation in the evenings recently? This was our families FAVORITE offering last fall! We're heading back in 20 days!!

Small bottles of water haven't been available for quite a while except at BC/YC, I believe. I was told at YC in June that when the supply runs out, they, too will no longer offer it.

WL does offer both large bottles of water, for onsite consumption and filtered water:

All of the CL rooms are considered "Standard rooms" except for the suites. The possible views in the North Wing are Woods View, with CR, monorail and MK off in the distance and the Otter Pond below and WL Courtyard View with Bay Lake and the pool. In the South Wing you have the same views, but the Woods View is a view of VWL with woods beyond.

Thank you - and thank you Mickeynut, i looked at that page a dozen times, not sure how I missed it. So is there No View if you end up in a 100 even numbered room???
Those rooms in the South Wing have a Woods View with VWL in the foreground and woods beyond. I recommend requesting a Courtyard View or a North Wing Woods View. Rooms 7035 and 7127 are the only two non-suite rooms that directly front the WL CY. 7127 is our favorite room:love:
