Thank you! We've never stayed CL before, so really looking forward to it.
Hi All! I am looking for any pictures of GF RPC Standard Room Views! I've looked through the pictures at the beginning of this thread, but didn't any specific for that view...maybe I missed something? I've also looked at the GF Resort Thread as well as the Picture thread, but not finding anything specific! I'm trying to figure out if I should request anything specific! Anything I should particularly avoid?? Thanks!!
Thanks for your input. We love AKL and I have read nothing but great things about CL, so I am hoping to try it next year. We are thinking of staying Poly CL in July, so I'm thinking of doing 2 nights AKL CL prior to that. One of the things I love about WL CL is how the seating is arranged around the railing, which is similar at AKL, although it does look like AKL CL is more of a "lounge" (like you mentioned). Any suggestions on room requests to not be so far from the lounge?
I don't think CL guests get checked in a lot at the front desk, but I do know it has happened. With that said, I think you'll be fine as I don't think it happens all that frequently.
I can't help as we don't do OCI, but I wanted to say I hope you have a great trip. GF RPC is my favorite as everything about it is amazing.
I have been led to understand you do have access to the CL lounge all day on check out day. We left right at check out on our las CL stay so never tried it out myself. We will next monthHello! Do I have this correct.... On Friday, our last day, we have an Ohana breakfast, so I check out before I leave for Ohana. BUT....if I wanted to use the pool after checking out that is allowed, but I will not have access to CL services and food?

AKL CL is different as the CL rooms aren't on the same floor as the lounge. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about that, but in reality the lounge is only an elevator ride away! CL rooms are on 4th floor. All are on Arusha savanna. I requested Zebra Trail because I like being on the same side as pool & restaurants. Again, only an elevator ride away. If you're on Kudu trail you have to cross lobby and get another elevator down to pool level. Not a huge deal, just an extra detour.
Yes, AKL CL is more lounge feeling. We liked sitting by the rail too, but it was all one room, and open. where WL the tables are more single file along rail, your not in a lounge. Some may prefer that, as it's prob more private feeling but I felt isolated. That's just me.

CL staff told us we were allowed to use the lounge until 10pm the night of check out.. Although we have always left about dinner time
Food offerings end at 10 pm (which is also when the CL CMs leave), but you will have access to any offerings/services until that time even though you are technically "checked out" of your room (the same way you are allowed to use the other amenities of that resort).
I'm not sure why it says that. Our room definitely could have slept 5. But we are a family of 4 so I guess that's why we never noticed the discrepancy on the website. Maybe it says max 4 adults because they don't have very many rooms overlooking the pool and lagoon with daybeds in them??? Sent from my iPhone using DISBoardsThank you so much Erika - great report! We are going to the Yacht Club for the first time this summer. We usually stay at the Beach club and are so excited. I have one question. When we were booking the reservation we tried to get a Pool View and we couldn't get the Pool View because one of our rooms have 5 people. I called and they said that there are no Pool View rooms that hold 5 people - it also states it on the website - yet you said that your room had a daybed. Why is that? If you had a daybed that means that it sleeps 5. We wanted the pool view. Thanks again - we are so excited about trying the YC CL.
I am slowly making my way through this thread (to page 92 now!) Yesterday, I wrote a long post about where we should change to (had WL-CL with FD, but the kid loves the pool, so switching and wanted advice.) That post got eaten by the internets, and I was too lazy to retype it all. We changed to YC-GV-CL this am, so just an FYI, there a FD room available at WL-CL Nov 11-16. So, what do I need to know about room selection at YC so I don't get the room with the bad view? If I am reading correctly, there are only 5 GV rooms? All CL is same floor as lounge? Thanks, all!
Thank you both so much! CL is so magical and I am not even there yet![]()

Right, very limited number of GV rooms. We booked one last summer and when we checked in we were put on a lower floor because they didn't have anymore GV on club level. We did not like being on the lower floor because they never remembered to do our nightly turndown or bring us robes, we didn't like being away from the lounge, so after a couple of days of complaining they finally moved us upstairs. This ordeal was one of the main reasons why we booked lagoon/pool view this time.
