EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I have a confession!!! And you guys have to PROMISE not to kick me out of the club level fan club, but I just booked a one bedroom at Kidani for spring break. :littleangel: :upsidedow :flower3: I had a really tough time making a decision, but when the chips are down we need SPACE! Two teenage boys need room to roam, and I need privacy to change clothes and have my own peace and quiet. The kids are totally shocked I didn't book a CL room, but to me the thoughts of having my own bedroom, my own bathroom, and the kids being separate with their own beds, bathroom, and TV, it just makes sense. :thumbsup2 I'm not saying we are through with club level for good, but from now on it will probably have to be deluxe rooms if we do.

Now back to talking club level! ;)

SOO EXCITED!

Just booked the CL at the Contemporary!!! (STD Atrium?) I had to google exactly what that meant.

I'm kinda hoping we'll get pixie dusted with an MK view room!!!

I wanted CL at the Poly, but it was sold out, and we had a STD room there, but I cancelled it with the threat of all the construction. I can't wait now! It's one of my dream hotels!!!

You will LOVE it!!! We stayed there in March and it was a dream!!!! :goodvibes I took a ton of pics if you want to check out my report: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3252440 You have to scroll past all the Beach Club stuff first to get to the CR report and pics. :)

Too funny! With two teen boys and an 8-year-old, I can understand! We did all regular rooms at AOA, AKL CL, GF RPC and Poly CL over 9 nights and at the end, I ran a marathon for my peace and quiet! Seriously, I'm now describing the marathon as "peaceful."

I have to say, we book CL a ton for the kids, but I did find that there is an end to the eating at some point. My biggest fail of the last trip was letting the boys do an eat-around-the-world, followed by AKL CL appetizers, followed by Boma. What was I thinking? Our oldest said he will always be hungry, and pressed for that combination, but I'll shut that down next time!

Can anyone tell me if I request a king bed will I get a day bed also?

There's three of us DH, DD and myself, I don't know if they allow three in a king bed room?

All rooms have a daybed so you should be fine. :)

Hi all! We are doing a 2 week stay at WDW in July - we are set on the first week Poly CL but can't decide on the second week. Our top 3 are AKL CL, BC CL, and GF SL. The only one we haven't done is BC CL - we tried a pro/con list but still are stuck. What would you do?

Well..... I book one then go back again as soon as possible for the other:rotfl:

I would do gf SL. That is based on our visiting MK every day. We only go to Hs and epcot a few hours here and there. Many trips we skip AKL bevause we can't fit it in. Then again most trips 3/4 days only for us.

Since you're already doing a week at the Poly I would definitely do your second week over at an Epcot resort! :thumbsup2 That way you get the benefit of walking to Epcot and taking the boat to the Studios, plus the nightlife of the Boardwalk area. It will feel like two vacations in one! :goodvibes

BC-CL just got renovated, so that would be all fresh and clean for you!..Plus, you can't beat the pool for a summer swim!

We've stayed in a King with daybed (couch that folds down) lots of time at CR. The first time was regular club. There are 3 of our; me, DH and DD. The first time we didn't even request a King so we were surprise :cool1:

Did you give a "token of affection" to your CL CM's? If so can you help?

What did you give? - like a bunch of small stuff or a big gift for all?
Who did you give it to? - the people who checked you in?
When did you give it? - At check-in or check-out?

We are close friends with the owners of a coveted candy store and they make something called french roll, it's fudge dipped in nuts, it's soft and amazing! I thought about getting a box of this and some other treats for them...but is that allowed and or dumb? Really I don't need an excuse to buy french roll, I just want one!

So funny you say that - we have a BB booked in Dec. 2015 at GF SL already!

Thanks everyone! We decided to switch to BC CL GV! Woohoo! So excited! We figured we needed to switch up the location for the second half of our vacation and we love the location of BC for walking/boating to 2 parks! Plus the pool there IS amazing! We've never tried out BC CL - anything different between there and Poly CL?

One other question - Is there a chance that we will not have a full balcony? It seems that all CL rooms are on the 5th floor (except suites and deluxe rooms) - We are booked GV in hopes that we won't see a dumpster out our window!

We gave our gift at the end of our stay. We bought momof u k u cookies (sry for spelling, it's been censored before but that's how it's spelled!!! Honest!) from nyc and put them in a gift box. We gave it to one of the concierge staff and let them know it was for all the staff that helped us through the week. I believe it is acceptable to give a non-monetary gift.

Looking for opinions: we just returned from YC CL. Booked a bounceback for a split stay in Dec: 4 nights CR CL (12-16) then 3 nights YC CL (16-19). Never stayed at CR resort before. But we plan on doing the Christmas party & are looking forward to just walking back to our room & not having to wait on a bus late at night. We had hoped for theme park view, but only standard CL room available with the discount. You can see the park from the lounge anytime of day or night, right? I'm trying to decide if I'll be disappointed with the standard view. The theme park view was available if I had switched our stay around & did YC first. But then we wouldn't have been at CR for our party night & would still be bussing back to our resort. So I prioritized convenience over view. The CM suggested trying to change to theme park view later so I might check now & then.

So thoughts on CR standard view vs. theme park view? Anyone able to get a discounted theme park view room in Dec with a public or AP rate?? Or should I try to drop CL & just get a theme park view? Although we prefer CL rooms, maybe for 4 nights we can get by without? Unless we're blown away by this stay, we probably won't be back to CR for awhile-- we love YC stay there most trips . Thanks!

I never stayed CL at the Contemporary, but I like the Bay Lake View there in the tower rooms. We really like the water parade.

Great, thank you! :)

This may be a very rare opinion, but we've stayed CR CL and I absolutely 100% prefer the "standard" bay lake view there. In fact, if they offered a TPV upgrade there, I'd probably decline it. The view of bay lake is so peaceful and such a wonderful contrast to the hustle and bustle of the other side. We could see epcot in the distance and watch boats float to and fro. If we wanted to see MK, the lounge was always open (even when not serving) and very comfy. I thought the access to both views (one from the room, other from the lounge) was perfect!

Always thought it was funny that TPV at CR is also a parking lot view.

BC CL compared to Poly CL, you really won't see a huge difference. Probably the biggest difference is the Poly CL has an amazing view, so the lounge tends to have more people just hanging out, having a drink, enjoying the view. People gather at night to watch the fireworks especially. Also the lounge is very tall, and has an upstairs, so you get an airy feel, and people tend to always walk through as they come and go from the building during the day. The food is obviously themed differently, so that will also be a change.

At both resorts there's a chance you won't have a balcony. All 2nd floor Poly CL rooms don't have a balcony, and several rooms at BC CL just have a tiny step out "juliet" balcony. Definitely add that to your room requests if it's important to you, but of course it's never a guarantee. As for the garden view, you'll most likely be looking out over the trees towards the parking lot or over the portico. We've had that few several times. If you're close to the lounge end of the hall you can see the Beach Club Villas and also the top of Spaceship Earth. We could even hear the live music coming from the World Showcase. :goodvibes

You can only see the dumpster if you're in standard view. We've had that view as well. That's the type of trip where you keep the curtains closed and pile all the suitcases in front of them. :lmao:
