EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Melissa, we haven't decided on excursions yet. I would like to do a ruins tour in Cozumel and snorkeling in Grand Cayman, but I don't know which ones yet.
Susan, yeah for your glucose test :cheer2:
Stacie, sorry about your septic problems. :grouphug:

Stacie, we did get hit really hard. It wasn't as bad as the one in 2003, but it was still bad. DH has been shoveling off and on all day today and that is after shoveling yesterday afternoon too. It was insane trying to drive in it yesterday. I made it home okay though. All the way to my driveway and then I got stuck. :) Today there were some people in the neighborhood with 4wheel drives driving up and down the street trying to pack some of the snow down. We might actually be able to leave our house tomorrow. Here are some pictures. The one with the things that look like rings are actually candy canes that line the porch. The other two are in the backyard.

The picture with the candy canes is in the front yard. If you look closely you can see my neighbors car buried across the street. Gotta love Colorado!

Wow...Thats a lot of snow. Stay warm!

New England hasn't had a bit of it yet this year...

Staying nice and warm in my sweats. I cranked up the heater a little too. Luckily the power is on. We don't have satellite right now, but we are surviving. The internet is still up. ;)

YIKES, that's a lot of snow!!! I wouldn't mind a dusting Saturday or Sunday, just to make things pretty.

My DS bought a Christmas present for one of his friends, it is a little orange pylon (sp?) that says "I used to have a life, then I got the Internet". It made me think of all the hours I've spent on the DIS boards!!

WOW Cristi!!! You should have been with us last week!!! It was a beautiful cruise. We have now switched to the 12/8/07. Hope everyone in your home is safe and warm and ready for Christmas. :)

Stacie, hope that you are doing well too. We missed you last week.

That is funny. We should have a lime green one that says "I used to have a life, then I found the DISboards". :)

We will definately have a white Christmas here. I don't know how long it will take for all of this to melt, but the sun is shining today and it is pretty.

Hi Everyone!!! I am back from my annual Disney Christmas trip. It was a great time. We had a double dip on the Wonder. The weather was bad the morning of our Castaway Cay day so the captain went to sea that night and then redocked the next morning at Castaway Cay the next morning. My brother and I laughed because when we got to the souvenier shop at Castaway Cay, they had "Twice the Magic" T-shirts for sale. Obviously from the double dip cruises. We both bought one. Ha ha.

Observations from the cruise: We had early seating, I would not do this again. The servers were very rushed all the time and we did not feel like the service we got at dinner was up to Disney standards. We went to Triton's for lunch on the Nassau day and got EXCELLENT service!!!! I think the later seating may be a bit more relaxed and hopefully better service. Our cabin steward was outstanding!!!

The 12/15/07 cruise is kinda up in the air at this point. My son had to miss a few days of school and some of his teachers have not decided at this point what they are going to do about the mid-terms that he missed. This cruise next year would also interfere with his mid-terms. So we will have to see how it works out. I may have to push the cruise to June 2008 (Wow, that will be expensive)

Anyhow, I hope that everyone is having happy holidays!! Stay warm!!

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas. DD is playing with her now doll house and DH and I are trying to get the baby's room in order. He went out to buy some paint.

Cristi...while you're knee deep in snow, our temps are in the high 60's. Last year we had a very mild winter. I think this one will be too.

Tammy...we had the late seating on our first cruise and picked it for this one as well. My DD has lots of Disney stamina, so late nights aren't hard for her on vacation. We just let her dictate when we get up in the mornings.

Melissa...we just started talking about excursions. We asked DD if she wanted to swim with the dolphins. I'm not sure if she'd be frightened by the close encounters. She loves to look at them from a distance. She asked if there would be any sharks around...

Stacie...how was baby Andrew's first Christmas? My family gave me baby gifts this year. I expected a couple, but we got lots.

Happy New Year everyone.

Happy New Year:dance3: :dance3: . May all your Disney dreams come true:thumbsup2

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!
We had another snow storm last week. It wasn't as bad as the first one, but another 8-10 inches on top of what we already had was a little depressing. I don't see any snow in the forcast until Friday and then there is only a 30% chance. It also looks like it is supposed to be in the upper 40s this week so maybe a lot will melt off.

Tammy, glad you had a great trip. Hope you stick with us for next year, but we will understand if you can't. THose darn school schedules. :)

We like the late seating also. When we are on the ship the kids don't ever want to get up in the morning so we aren't eating breakfast until 9:30 or so and then that puts lunch around 2 so it works out well for us.

Bye everyone. I'm off to WDW :D
See you in a week.

Where is everyone? It is snowing here Again. I can't take it anymore. I don't want to shovel, there isn't anywhere to put the snow :confused3 The kids have both been invited to spend the night at a friends house tonight so I have to be able to get them out. I would really like to go out with my husband on a date. :)

I found us hiding on Page 3. I've been without Internet since late Thursday. :scared1: I didn't like it!!

Cristi--is it ever going to quit snowing in CO? I hope you got to go out on your date. DH, baby, and I went out to supper on Saturday, the other two both had youth group at church. The weather people are saying winter will be coming to Iowa this week. I'm not looking forward to it. We had bought a bunting for Andy, and got two more as gifts, he's only worn one once. Sounds like he'll get to use them soon. DH promised that he would warm up the van and take us for rides in the evening if we get cabin fever. What a sweet guy.

Sharon and Melissa--How was WDW?

Susan--How is baby coming along? Your due date is getting closer and closer (I can keep track because of my ticker).

I'm still here, I check every day & no new messages.

Sorry you are having so much snow. It was 70 degress here yesterday in Delaware. Everyone was walking around in shorts & short sleeves. This isn't normal this time of year. I turned the heater off& opened the windows.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Me & stacie just posted at the same time.

Disney was great, we had a ball.

I'm on ******************** also & have posted over there.
Look for "I know the best known, secert" there is part of my trip report

Hi Stacie,

The baby is doing well. I had an ultrasound on Jan. 3 b/c I was measuring big. They wanted to check his size and amniotic fluid levels. Both were normal. He's a little over 3 pounds. I still have to go back Jan. 24 to check his kidneys. They found a problem at 28 weeks and need to check again after 33 weeks. They were not able to get an accurate reading at the Jan. 3 ultrasound.

I've only gained 12 pounds b/c I was so sick in the beginning, yet my tummy is huge. When I tell people I'm not due until March 13, they like to tell me how big I am. It's so comforting.

Cristi...send some snow our way. It's 58 here today, finally beginning to cool down. I hope you weren't affected by that avalanche.

Take care everyone and Happy New Year!!

Susan, hope everything is well with baby and kidneys.

I wish I could send some snow to everyone, I am tired of it. I heard a nasty rumor that we are supposed to get snow again this Thurs-Sat.

The avalanche was up in the mountains so we weren't affected. It is funny though because I didn't even hear about it until I heard from someone else on the DIS about it. :)

Susan--Hope everything turns out ok. I only had one ultrasound at the very beginning. I really wanted to have another one towards the end but there was no reason. I would have spent a lot less time worrying.

Cristi--I hope the snow misses you and comes here. My kids want to try out our sledding hill and maybe have school delayed a couple hours so they can sleep in.

Sharon--What other site is there? You got bleeped out in you PM to me. You'll have to e-mail me outside of the DIS world so you don't get censored.
