EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

hi,

we are booked for dec,15. We changed our ressie from the xmas cruise because we got a better catergory for this cruise at a cheaper price...

Welcome Tiggerandpooh.

Cristi, it's in the 50's here today. It's supposed to be colder the next 2 days, then back up to the 70's. No snow for us :sad1:

Stacie, I've had 4 ultrasounds...all because they keep finding something "wrong". They have made me worry more b/c they aren't able to tell me anything definite. I'm now at the magical age of 35, so they're treating me high risk.

The ladies at work surprised me with some gifts today. They all bought individual items and one of them put them in a nice gift basket. I was quite surprised. My last day there is this Friday. It's with a tax accounting firm. Since I'm due March 13, they needed to replace me with someone who could be there through all of tax season. I told them I'd be back in 5 years.

Great! Welcome aboard. It will be myself, DH, DD12 and DS9 1/2. I am sure that closer to cruise time DS would love a new penpal. :)

thanks and i sent my info to the email address on the first but have not gotten any response yet, i hope the email was right

hope all is well with the baby-& mom to be:flower3:

Weclome to the boards tigger & pooh, glad you found our link.

It is me, young friend (like a daughter) & her 11 year old DD, going

Stacie sent you an e-mail.

No snow here yet, remeber 70 degrees Saturday. Well now it is back to Sweatshirts & jeans, & I need to turn the heater up a few degress. So far we have had a mild winter.

Well finally have the new room almost done. Carpet, came yesterday, funiture came today. We put in a gas fireplace, so tommorrow they are suppose to come & put the fittings together. Hopelly tomorrow I can start the fire place. So far we haven't needed it.

Now don't get me wrong I still need the back hoe to declutter::rolleyes:
the rest of the house. Never ending job.
I would like to get new carpet & walls painted while dinning room furniture is out being refinished, that would look nice. We are going to make the old living room a formal dinning room. there was bits & pieces of furniture in each room. It is my mother's old set. All in time it will look good. One room at a time.

Hope all is well with everyone.

I'm back. Disney was amazing. Going solo was one of the best things I have ever done.

Hey Sharon--I got your e-mail, I'll have to check the site out. Baby is doing great, he's sleeping in my arms as I'm typing. He got spoiled during Christmas break with everyone holding him all the time. Sounds like your remodeling is coming along. We have to get the hole patched in our bathroom wall (where we found the septic problem) then I think we're good for awhile.

Our cat took down our Christmas tree for us, we came home one night and all 9 ft of it was laying in the middle of the family room floor, we stripped the ornaments and garland off and it went straight out the door. It's the fastest the tree has ever gotten taken down at our house.

They are still talking winter here this week. YUCK! Cristi hope your not buried in snow. The avalanche that happened in CO fell on a church van from Iowa that was on the road. Everyone returned home yesterday, noone seriously hurt just minor injuries. I'm sure it was scary though.

We had a Girl Scout Service Unit meeting tonight and I announced that I'm not going to be SU Manager next year. What a load off of my shoulders! It's been ok but I don't want to be in charge anymore.

Welcome back to the "real" world Melissa, glad you had a good time.

Susan--I can see why it would worry you, you are definately in our thoughts right now. We are patiently waiting on our youth pastors to have their first baby, it's a boy due Feb. 23, your baby, and our neighbors are expecting their 6th at the end of March, she's had the stomach flu this week. Lots of moms-to-be in our prayers. :grouphug:

We are having Andy baptized Sunday, his two-month birthday (:scared1:)

just wanted to let everyone know that tonight on the history channel they are having a 2 hour special on behind the scenes at disney its on at 8pm est

:cool1: OK, We are in!

My wife, myself, DD (13), DS (10). I think we are in 2103 and looking forward to it. We are planning on doing back-to-backs with the following week that goes through Christmas but haven't actually booked it yet. I suppose that may change the cabin we are assigned to so we can saty in the same place both weeks. Anyway, count us in.

During our only other Disney Cruise, we didn't know about memebers of this board getting together for a meet, etc. So, what's that about?

Hi all! We are thinking about this cruise. It's me, DH, DS who will be 7 then, and DD who will be 4. I'm getting quotes from a few places, still waiting to hear from Dreams Unlimited, and open to any suggestions on other agents to call (can I say that here?).

We went on a 4 night back in 2002, when DS was 2, and had a great time! Now that both kids are old enough to do all the activities, we thought it would be even better.

I hope we can join you!

Welcome to the boards.

Hope you join us, it is going to be a great group.

RalphieN welcome to the boards also

Welcome!!!! It will be great sailing with you all.

Ralphie as far as the meets go it depends on the group. The first cruise we went on we only met up with one other family, but we had a great time with them. Our DD's still email each other. When we went in Dec 05 there were a lot more people on our cruise meet thread. We had a few meets planned. We planned one for around 3 or so around the pool area, some at the sailaway and pirate parties and then we had one person who had upgraded to a suite and she hosted a wine/cheese adult only party there. The party meets didn't really work out well with all of the crowds, but we did end up meeting probably 10 or so other families at different times. We actually linked our ressies with another couple and were seated at the same table with them for dinner. Then another person had the table right next to us. There was one family that we spent a lot of time with. They are actually from Colorado also. It also seemed that several of us had Palo brunch at the same time and we all seemed to congregate near the same place at Castaway Cay. It was a lot of fun!!!

Its exciting that as we get closer more and more disers are joining us. I'm going solo, a friend of my mine might be joining me but she needs to wait until time gets closer to see if she can go.

I just started classes again today. Which means I'm 7 weeks away from Africa. I found out my project - Namibian tourism. Works well for me. I'm really excited about it. Turning in my Visa applications next week.

How long are you going to be in China for?

If I remember correctly, its because of the special olympics right? Which is awesome.

almost 2 weeks.

Yes, my son is going for Special olympics.

There are alot of resrtictions about getting into China. No Cameras, film, & whole list of items

I've updated the website to add TiggerandPooh and RalphieN's information.

Gillian--Hope your family can join the cruise.

It's finally looking like winter here. They are saying 8-12" of snow by Monday. The kids don't have school on Monday. They are very excited. They want to try out the sledding in the neighborhood, the other kids have been talking about it, and we left behind a great sledding hill when we moved. I hope it lives up to all the stories!! I guess Andy and I should go get milk and bread before the whole grocery store is wiped clean.
