Hadley, Fiona will tackle you for carrot sticks. She saves the celery for me, though.

And that's about all we have for favorites. :rotfl: I pretty much eat everything at WDW and DCL equally happily. DH is an indiscriminate eater, so long as it won't kill him.

We play the livestock game only with cows, but if you pass a cemetery you lose all your cows.

We went through one state and counted all the old beat up cars rather than cows

what is the special treat you look forward to having only at Walt Disney World???

Dh loves the German place in Epcot.
DD loves the ice cream bar at Chef Mickeys
DD loves the dole bars & the popcorn at MK
DS loves the Mickey bars

me I like just about all foods. :) I like to snack our way through Epcot. :) and I like the bakery on Main Street.

Deck 10 immediately prior to Sail Away Party
meet up on the top deck in the warm sunshine and fresh breeze going through your hair
Promenade Lounge before Muster Drill - 3:00
relax and mingle comfortably in air conditioning with seating

Would we all be able to fit in the Promenade Lounge?

There is plenty of space on Deck 10:hippie:

Oh and yes FatCat they serve drinks there too!!!!!

Charlie:woohoo:

My kids are telling me they want to be able to get up on the stage during the sail-away party (during the part where they invite the kids to the stage) - can they manage to do that if we are on deck 10? Can we get down there?

I'm thinking I might need to change my vote to the lounge before the muster drill is that is the case!:headache:

I can't remember - from the muster drill the sail away party happens pretty much right after right?

My kids also like to be on stage during the party...and yes the stairs are right there for them and you overlook the whole stage area...Less crowded then down one deck 9

And it does start after the drill

DCL ropes off the stairs to the stage before and during the show. We have to stay away from the speakers (kiddo and DH hate how loud the music is), so we just watched the characters "backstage" by the stairs from Deck 10 on our first cruise. :thumbsup2

Would we all be able to fit in the Promenade Lounge?

In my experience with 2 meets at the Promenade Lounge, we haven't filled up the place. A lot of people don't show at the meet for one reason or another, or only the DIS member shows at the meet while their family is eating, swimming, etc.

Hope that helps!

Drea, have we reached our Fish Extender cutoff date yet? I was hoping to package up my goodies this weekend so that is all behind me, in a box, and ready to ship to the Magic!! There's been some chatter (that I started :stir: ...sorry!) on the website's FE thread, too, about the list, that you may want to catch up on, too. :)

Make sure your vote is counted by voting in the poll on the right on the front page of the website!

Indeed!! That's the only place your vote will count.
I have noticed what some of you were saying that the poll wasn't on the right side of the monitor while using IE 6.0 on WinXP. Sometimes it pops up, sometimes it doesn't. So if you're having the challenge, flip around your screens and see if it eventually shows up as it has for me.

Exceedingly weird question....Do you play a car game where all the livestock on your side of the road are "yours"? .....
We play the livestock game only with cows, but if you pass a cemetery you lose all your cows...

Oh yes...we played that a lot when I was growing up! I love the idea of passing a cemetery (or some other landmark) means you start all over!

You're in one crazzzzy mood today, aren't you, Brandie? :upsidedow

Scene: My house at 4 am this morning.
Fiona: Mommy, let's watch PETER PAN! I don't WANT to sleep any more!
Me: GO TO SLEEP NOW!!!

Five minutes later: DH and kiddo are both snoring away. Me, not so much. No more sleep for Mommy! Third time's the charm!

--->Does that explain my mental state to everyone??? That was the third time (count'em--ONEtwoTHREE!!!) she had woken me up that night!!! :headache: Of course, while DH snOREd away, blissfully unaware of the mommy monster beside him. :rotfl:

Yeah, I need lots of caloric intake to comfort me and keep me awake today. :rotfl:

RULLLLES, Lillian! RULES!
:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I don't mean to sound like a party pooper, but in my humble opinion as a 25 year Central Florida resident - I would not describe September weather at the Port quite like that... more like "the baking sun and incredible humidity that has your clothes drenched in 10 minutes even if there's not a thunderstorm going on at the moment" weather.

Now once you get out on open water, the weather is fantastic. Port Canaveral, not so much.

:rotfl2: Okay....that explains it!

I was a little Fiona this morning myself. I woke up at 4:00 and there was no getting back to sleep. I kept telling myself to go back to sleep...go back to sleep!!! At 4:45, I finally decided to get up and make use of the time....did I really make GOOD use of the time?? Of course I didn't. UGH!

O I agree on our last early Oct 06 cruise it was HOT HOT HOT!!! till we got out on the sea.

That's one of many reasons why I voted for the Promenade Lounge!! I just didn't want to sound too bias. :)

No, you were me, not the (beautiful, but) little stinker child. SHE went right back to sleep. -I- was the tortured one!!! Me me me!!!

I made DH go put eyedrops in her eyes at lunch. Sweet vindication! :thumbsup2 He slept throughout my torment. *boo hiss hiss to him*

:rotfl:

It's amazing how apple slices from McD's can change my point of view. I can make it through today now that I have regained my sense of humor.:thumbsup2

I'm an evil, evil woman. But I have cherry pie!

hi! we are on this double dip too and wanted to know if anybody booked the dolphin encounter in Cozumel in the afternoon? The only space available is the 3h30 PM and I'm worried this is too late? Thank you!

Welcome!!!! We're a fun bunch! :)

Would the dolphin encounter be through Disney or are you booking this on your own? If it is through Disney it should be ok. Hopefully somebody else will be more helpful than I can be! :)

:yay: Welcome!!! I'm so glad you found us!

Since we are going to the Dolphin Encounter, I have been keeping track of others who are also going. :)

Buckeye Gal: 1:00 Encounter
crissichef: 1:00 Encounter
(crissichef's Family): 1:00 Encounter
cyndifan: 1:00 Encounter
Epperbiker: 1:00 Encounter and Adventure
(Epperbiker's Family): 1:00 Encounter
googles111: 3:30
Grandma4ever & Tigger's Sidekick: 11:00 - Royal Swim
Jeninpa: 1:00 Encounter
Magic3forme: 2:00
MagicMe: 1:00 Encounter
pit303: 1:00 Encounter
rkandmjsmommy: 1:00 Encounter
Scoutsmom99: 1:00 Encounter
TheDisneyGirl02: 1:00 Encounter

There have been some discussions here as to if this 3:30 slot is too late or not. Tonya (googles111) had the same concern. Did you book through DCL? If so, you'll have no worries as they will ensure you're returned to the ship safe and sound. All on-board is at 6:30, so if you booked on your own, you'll certainly not want to waste any time leaving to ensure you get a cab and your ride back!

BTW, if you haven't made it to the first page of this thread yet, you'll easily get caught up on other things we have going on in Post #1. Just hop right on in some more!!

I have been giving some thought to the weight loss challenge. Here are my two ideas thus far. 1) we could all keep track of who is doing it and at the end if we have met goal we could exchange names and then swap a small, small gift or 2) if we meet our goal we could meet somewhere on ship and celebrate with each other. Any other suggestions?

The only way I know is to perhaps post or PM to someone what your goal loss is (not your weight) and then just be honest if we met it or not by sail date.

We could have ideas, challenges, recipes, etc. to get us and keep us motivated until time. I am personally starting a 40 day challenge. I did this last summer when I lost some of my weight. For me, I chose 40 days of no soda because that is my biggest downfall. (empty calories) I had 40 days of water, milk or lemonade only. Very tough but I did it. That is what I am going to do this time in addition to trying to limit my sugar intake and increase my fruits and veggies. Basically healthier eating. I couldn't believe how much better I felt off the sodas. Slept better, felt better and much less grouchy.

Please post or PM ideas for the challenge. Have a healthy day.
