DME Question

I booked my trip and originally had ASMusic for November. I called and put the flights on about 90 days out for DME... A few days later I received the tags and tickets for DME, I was kind of shocked because I thought these would come much closer to arrival. About a week later I decided to change resorts to CBR. I haven't seen any new tags. I contacted DME today and they said they would re-send my booklet with CBR on it. Is this normal to have to contact them separately when you change resorts?

Yes, DME and the resort reservation systems are separate so you need to contact DME whenever you change resorts.

Actually, you don't always have to let DME know. In most cases, the reservation number remains the same. So, even though the name of the listed resort, on the vouchers/tags will show the original destination, the new resort will show up when the bar code is scanned.
So, long story short?? If you have the same reservation number, you really didn't need to do anything. Some people cross off the 'old' resort and write in the new one. But you have to be very careful not to touch that barcode!!!

Oh, okay, that make sense. I changed reservations from a room only to a package once and had to call DME to change my info, but I got a whole new reservation number in the process.

Yeah, thanks a lot. My reservation number didn't change but I would be stressed the whole flight/first few hours at the park that I was waiting on luggage. Glad to know it would have worked either way.

I've had the same thing happen, so I'm glad you asked OP!

My trip isn't until December, and we got the luggage tags over a month ago. But not only have I changed resorts, but half of our group is coming in on a different day. So maybe I need to let my Dreams TA know, and see if we have to do something or if we are ok.
