I love the new color! Its perfect! I was playing on the Rit website and I think I want to dye mine aquamarine. So I need to get some hunter green! Did you use the same measurements it said on the website? I have no idea how many pounds of fabric is in a crinoline.

I dont understand the whole hoop skirt thing. I was looking on ebay last night and it looks like the 3 hoop skirt comes with all this extra fabric to make it fuller. Where did you get the plain 3 hoop skirt? Was the super full too big with the hoop underneath? I'm gonna go nuts today and get a bunch to experiment on

i kind of played around with the measurements on the website, they didn't have directions for making "truffle" so i improvised...as far as the hoop skirt goes...i bought the 3 hoop skirt from angel's bridal on ebay. it has 3 hoops under it with tulle overlay, so it DOES give some extra *poof*. the super full crinnie that i bought from them was too big and looked bulky under my dress, it messed up the pick ups near my waist, making me look fat...so i just decided to use the one that i bought with my dress and the hoop with it. i did what jax teach did with her hoop though, i removed the hoops and replaced only the bottom one with the original middle hoop...does that make sense? i feel like i'm rambling...the 3 hoops again made the pick ups look weird and bunchy. the only reason i wanted the hoop skirt was to flare out the bottom so i don't look like a cake...hth.

Great idea matching it to the bridesmaids dresses! It looks awesome!

BTW I love #2 pair of shoes! A girl can never have to many shoes!

Hi C.... ok i LOVE the shoes that you got when you were here at my house. I think you got them from Joyce Leslie?? I love those and I think it will look great with the dress. I dont really like teh boot shoes. It reminds me of 1920 BUT ... i am also a firm believer that this is the most important day of your life (besides your birth) and I think you should be comfortable. If those boot shoes are comfy by all means ... wear boots. If you like the boots wear the boots. I think no matter what, the dress will cover the shoes and you need to like them. I like the crinnie color. It will match us well. I heard about your honeymoon - HOW FUN!!! I wanna come! Can you pack me in ur suit case?? ok im on candy duty and the kids are coming in drones!!!! bye bye

I bought crinolines from Angels bridal last night. I got an extra full, and since I'm super short (5'2") I also got the "flower girl" 3 hoop skirt and A-line crinoline. Hopefully I can pick one and get it dyed early next week.

you're so funny with the flower girl hoop skirt! you're right though, i'm 5'9" and it is just a TINY bit too short for me...so you should be good! i can't wait to see your results, i'm so excited for you!!!

it was the funniest sight today, walking into david's bridal with my truffle hoop skirt and crinoline, heads turned, people actually stared...is it really that different? i had to ask, it is, they had never seen anything like it...the seamstress looked really confused...i tried to explain it to her, but she didn't speak english...too funny! so the fitting went well, they didn't have to take the dress up at all which is fabulous!!! all she did was add an over bustle, which i love! see pics below!!! i think the crinoline looks good, what do you ladies think???
ignore the really bad shoes, i had to wear the smallest heal possible as my boring ballet shoes haven't come in yet...

i ordered our guest book the other night, my envelopes are being fed-exed to me right now, they should be here tomorrow!!! i can't wait to get my invitations out!!!

Getting the invites out is the greatest feeling... Our's went out 2 weeks ago. Now if people would only get the RSVPs back to us.

Everything looks great Caryn! I was thinking, maybe you should have one of your 75 pairs of wedding shoes dyed truffle. They would match our dresses and your crinnie and you'd get a little peek of them too. Just a thought
