Nothing seriously new to report today...we registered at Williams Sonoma! That was kind of cool! We weren't going to register, but there were so many things that we didn't have that I didn't know that we didn't have, that it made me excited!!!

I also got my new envelopes...my mother is mad that I'm not going to have the RSVP'S sent to her, but I explained that she is not as organized as i need her to be, and i'm not working right now, so it's fine...she's disappointed, but i think it's best this way!!!

i also went to michaels-AGAIN-to get more stuff for our placecards that came in the mail today AND i bought that color icing stuff that M+M126 got for my martha stweart cookies!!! i'm going to add little flowers to my placecards, im' so excited about them!!!! i'll post pics when done! hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to really get a hold of all these crafts!!!

Oh I was gonna tell you this...I'm thinking about adding some crystal sparkles to the tops of the cookie cakes. You can buy it at Michaels too. Do you think that would work on the cookies? I'm glad you found the color flow mix!

funny that you should say this...i literally-i'm not kidding about this-stood in front of that section for michaels for like 10 minutes, couldn't find anything that i liked, got annoyed, decided that i needed more inspiration and left...i'm hoping to get to the cookie situation by monday or tues so i can experiment...i'm feeling like i will use something, more than likely sparkles, because that's so caryn/mark, but i'll decide then...BTW the color flow sounds so easy, just add water and confectioners sugar and food color (i chose cornflower blue) and you're done!!! so easy!!!

It is pretty easy and it comes out nice and glossy. I liked working with it in the past. I really need to experiment at some point too just to make sure I want to take on this big cookie task!

Hahaha! I think you and I are going to have very similar placecards. I got my stuff from paper source in the mail today too. I vow not to look at your thread until I have done a mock-up of my placecards. That way I can compare mine to yours without loosing my own vision. Good luck and have a crafty weekend!

thanks kristen, i was trying not to think about that...

i have nothing else to do since i'm not working, i feel like that's about 3 days worth of work...maybe a little bit less than that if i eat a powerbar and drink gatorade all day...the only thing is that it's still HOT in texas, i hate baking when it's hot...it'll NEVER get cool here, it was still 83 degrees today!!!

Lol, you're too funny with your powerbar and gatorade I know what you mean about the heat! It was 85 here when I was driving home from work. They keep saying a cool front is coming, but we'll see. Have you seen these cookies? They look like a lot less work, but still super cute!

i have seen them...if the cake cookies become too much, this is what they will end up being, though they will be different sized circles...

i am exhausted. i've been working on invitations for no joke, at least 20 hours. they are ALMOST done. as soon as i get my stamps from zazzle this week, i can stuff the response cards in and i'm complete...

Those look great Caryn! I love the envelope color, it looks just like your crinoline! I'm surprised about the Martha labels, I didnt like the picture on her site... maybe it was the pink she used? but yours look really elegant!

i didn't actually use the martha labels, her template was annoying and so i created my own as a word file, i used stardream opal paper (i'm using it for EVERYTHING, labels, invite insert, programs etc) and then used a glue stick (my new fave craft tool) to adhere them...i think they turned out well...i'm also going to wax seal the envelopes with gold wax. will post a pic when done!

oh, btw, i LOVE my envelopes, i got them from paper source, they are fantastic, i'm raving about them to everyone! i just put a new order in for menu card supplies!!!

The invites look fantastic Caryn! Very elegant. I love the color of the envelopes. I have purchased a wax seal to do mine when we get to that point. I'm using silver wax on them. I have them designed, but it's way to soon to print them. I still have to be sure I can get my venues.
