I updated the Marina prices on the front page. Some of them changed, some of them stayed the same.
I tried hard to read the small print, but not much luck. For the sea raycers, do the 12-17 year olds need a licensed 18 year old (minimum age) driver in the boat with them, or can they take them on their own with a parent signed waiver?

They can take them on their own if you (their parent) sign a waiver.

I loved it! Such a beautiful relaxing resort. I really wish I was back there already. Such a great place to be able to relax after a long day at the parks. :thumbsup2

We are staying in Jamaica. Subbing so I can stay current on the newest info on this resort. I can't wait to go back to Disney and this will be our first time staying on site so I am really looking forward to staying at CBR.

We have 2 young children in our group (DD who will be 15 months and DNiece who will be 2 1/2) so we plan to come back to the resort each afternoon for nap time and relax/pool time for the rest of us. Is there an easy and quick way to get to and from the parks to the resort?

Hey gracer9977, I hope this little bit of info will help. We stayed in Jamaica 45 from 7/3-7/10/06, yes just got back had a wonderful time. Beautiful resort, rooms are very nice and have new mattresses. It is just a little under 5 min. walk to the food court, main pool, kiddie pool, resturant and shops. There is also a private beach, pool and laundry facilities less then 2 mins. away. Right behind Jamaica 45 just about a 4 min walk is the bus stop and the buses ran less than constantly. Also returning to the resort if the buses run in reverse since they stop at every island you are first to get off. Now let me just add the resort definitly gives you that Caribbean feeling and at night you can see the fireworks from the bridge and pool side.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just got back also. We were there June 24 to July 7th and stayed in Jamaica 45. Loved it!! :thumbsup2 Everything Sassy2 said is right on!!

There are buses from CBR to each and every theme park. CBR has 7 bus stops, one at each of the 6 villages and one at Old Port Royale (OPR), the "hub" of the resort that has the food court, table-service restaurant, main pool, shops, etc. Each bus stops at only one theme park, and each bus is clearly labeled with a "scoreboard" on the front and on the side. You just go to the nearest bus stop and wait for the bus labeled for the place you want to go. There are no schedules or time tables, they just run constantly about every 15 minutes or so (that is, there's a bus for EACH destination aboout every 15 minutes or so).

When you leave a theme park, there is a bus stop area for all the resorts. You go to the stop with the CBR sign. Easy as pie. When the bus enters the CBR complex, the driver will call out the name of each stop (the village name or OPR).

Another poster said that Jamaica is always the first stop within CBR, but that's not true. Sometimes the first stop IS Jamaica, but sometimes it's Martinique. It all depends where the bus enters the resort from the public roads.

I hope you love CBR as much as I do!

I just changed our reservation to stay at CBR from Dec. 23- 29th....I am really looking forward to being there. Anybody stayed here during the holidays?? What's it like? :cool1:

I have stayed at CBR many times over the Christmas holiday. My favorite thing is the party they have at Old Port Royale on Christmas Eve. They have music outside, Santa and some of the Disney characters make an appearance. They have free drinks and cookies. The resort is decorated in a Caribbean style and so are the Christmas decorations.

Are there towels at the pools? We're going to head over to the pool after we check in Saturday morning, I'm guessing our room will not be ready yet. Seems like I remember reading that there were towels there, but cannot find it now. Also, is there some sort of pool house/ locker room type by the main pool for us to change into bathing suits?
I am hoping the answer is yes to the towels....I'm almost completely finished packing, I don't see how I would fit beach towels in these overstuffed suitcases!! :rotfl:

There are towels at the main pool at OPR. No pool house/locker room but, there are bathrooms to change in at the main pool, inside OPR.

Also, after you check-in, you can take your room towels to your 'island' pool and, mousekeeping will replenish your towels. Beach towels, from what I've read, are good if you're going to the water park(s) (to mark your chairs) and, if you're going there and bringing your towels, roll the towels, pack them in a jumbo ziploc and SQUEEZE the air out! It makes 'em smaller. :thumbsup2

I am so jealous!!! Have a great time! :sunny: :thumbsup2

Thank you so much!!!
LOL! I wish I could take pictures of my suitcases to show you....I have everything rolled up tight, packed in Ziplocs, every tiny space is full. It is my best packing job to date.... :goodvibes I just hope I don't think of anything else that needs to go in there, because then I am in trouble!
I am so excited, I cannot believe this day is finally almost here after months and months of planning....CBR, here we come!!!

Can you book this in advance or do you do it upon arrival?

I booked this for my kids for my dec trip already, but I don't think you need that much notice, it doesn't seem to be as popular as the one at GF, so I don't think it is selling out, but if you do call to book, I called wdw dine first and they said huh? what cruise? so they transferred me to cbr main desk and they were like huh? what cruise? so i asked them to transfer me to the marina, and they did and they booked it for me.

My son and I changed our clothes at the Main Pool on our check out day. There is definitely a nice-sized changing area within the men's room, and my wife told me the same about the ladies' room.

I'm the early-riser in my family. Each morning, I went to OPR to grab take-out mini-Mickey waffles for the kids. As I walked through the pool area on my way back to Trinidad North, I always grabbed an armful of pool towels. We always used them later that day or late that night at our village pool (we only went to the Main Pool twice during our stay). By doing this, I didn't have to bother with getting fresh towels from Mousekeeping.

I totally agree with both of these statements!

Hello CleveRocks I believe I said that if the bus runs in reverse Jamaica is the first stop not that it always makes Jamaica its first stop. I hope there is clarity here.We just returned Tuesday past and each night except one the buses ran in reverse entering through the Victory Way so Jamaica was the first stop.:)

Thanks to Sassy2 and cleverocks for the quick responses and info on the resort. My sister and I live on the disboards right now and can't wait to get to CBR and WDW. Only 11 weeks to go. :thumbsup2

Sorry, guess I misunderstood you. I've never heard of buses running in reverse. They always run in one direction, it's just a matter of their starting point. Just a difference in the terms we're using, I guess. :goodvibes

Hey CleveRocks that's okay it's all in a day of fun and posting! Maybe the resort was trying out something new.:rotfl: :rotfl:
