We had lunch at Chic Fil A:

HA! Looks like he is holding a really small cup in his hand! I had to look closer to see he cup belonged to the people behind you!!!

Sounds like a GREAT Dis-meet! your mall looks awesome!

Gabe and I had a great time. I just love my little boy. Little boys are just extra special to Mommies like us, aren't they?

They sure are oopsi....they sure are :lovestruc
My little man has been sick all week and I hate how helpless I feel. We thought he was better mid-week so I sent him back to school, but last night he was throwing up again and tonight he just doesn't look like himself. Of course now it is the weekend, so if I take him to the doctors it will have to be the ER, which is never any fun!

Loved the Nemo night....you know he is my favorite (well Dory really). And you American Girl party ideas on Pinterest have been great! Almost makes me wish I had a girl....almost...

Maybe we can cross paths at Opry Mills one of these days. There is going to be a several family meet there on July 6th. We're meeting at Rainforest to eat and then go to Disney Store, of course. Maybe you can bring your gang, too? Jill and I usually find our way over there about once in every couple of trips she makes to Nashville. We'll have to meet you at the hippo sometime. :thumbsup2

Yes, Ariana went so far above and beyond for my children. I am just reminded constantly of just how blessed I am to have such wonderful, kind, encouraging Disfriends! I really can never express how much you all mean to me! :grouphug:

OMGoodness...where do you live? You MUST come visit Opry Mills and you MUST let me know when so I can meet you there! (Did my Jedi mind tricks work??? :confused3 :rotfl:) It does sound like Caden and Gabe would have a great time together. And that Lego store is so much fun! They have a station to build Lego people, a station with Lego computer games and Lego bricks for building whatever, and now they also have sort of a "runway" for the new zip pull Lego "cars". It is such a great store. Gabe LOVES it! He could spend hours just walking around the store looking into all the little display "peep holes".

So, just let me know when we can all meet up for some play time! :thumbsup2

I live in the Louisville, KY area...just a couple/few hours north. I would absolutely LOVE the opportunity to come check out the mall, meet you and let Gabe and Caden play. I bet they would have such a fun time. :thumbsup2 Caden is a pretty outgoing kiddo and makes new friends easily. He and Gabe would be best buds by the time we parted ways.

The only LEGO store I have ever been inside is the one in Downtown Disney and it's always SOOOO crowded. :crowded: The store at Opry Mills sounds fabulous. I work in a school and have summers off, so maybe we can plan something for one day this summer. Perhaps a Friday (or if you have to work) maybe a Saturday! I will start looking at potential dates and we can make it a date. :cool1: I LOVE DISmeets!

Out of curiosity, how old is Gabe? Caden is turning 6 tomorrow! WOW...they grow up so fast.

BTW...I'm a little late in responding, but I LOVED your Nemo movie night. So cool. I would like to do some movie nights at home. I might have to "borrow" some of your ideas! :scratchin

Loved the movie night... The decorations are awesome and the food is perfect - as usual! Great job! :)

D~

Thanks, D~! Movie nights are SO MUCH FUN!

WEll boo to that that everyones going somewhere but you!!!! On a good note ... I love the dining room and if that was my house I'd leave those decorations up as long as they'd stay up I think a disney dining room should be a forever thing!! I hear Snow whites on her way to see you though,so you'll have to let me know how that visit goes .

I wanted so badly to leave them up all week, but before I knew what was happening, Brian was on top of the table pulling things down before dinner the next night. I know he was only trying to be helpful, so I couldn't fuss at him. :worried:

As you already know by now Snow White made her appearance on a day that I needed some Disney magic really badly in my life. Once again, Cheeky swoops in and puts a smile on my face! :goodvibes :lovestruc you Miss Sunshine!!!

I'm glad the kids loved everything! :cool1: I was a bit worried about Jillian's as teenagers can be hard.

Oh and next time, we should send Jim and Gabe to the Lego store that way we could chat a bit longer. Jim was all "ooohhh Legos" when we passed that store. We didn't go in but I bet if he had a playmate he would have dug right in!

As always, I loved the Nemo night and everything you did for it. Fish and Mac and Cheese, yum! Two of my favorites.

Very excited to see the Swiss Family Robinson night! That is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. Hmmmm, maybe Ostrich races for the activity?

We will DEFINITELY send the boys to play next time while we visit! :thumbsup2

OMGoodness!!! That race scene with all the jungle animals has always been one of my favorite scenes from the movie! That one and the scene where they are dancing and having a great time while mom plays on the pipe organ. Yes, I too love that movie! Charity is especially excited to see it again since she just finished reading the book for a school book report. :thumbsup2
No ostrich races planned....but I just may have some other sort of race on the agenda! :scratchin ::yes::

Wanted to say:

Happy Valentines day!
Now going to catch up

Thank you MO! Loved that little V-day card!!!

And Cheeky, yours was extra special too, with my DAISY girl on it! Disfriends are the BEST!!!!! :mickeyjum

Your Movie nights are EPIC!!! can i schedule you?!?!?!

Oh girl, don't tempt me! I want SO BADLY to get up to Chicago to meet you and to see my friend Mel!! She and I are planning a "halfway between here and there" meet up weekend just to catch up. Have you gotten to meet her in real life yet? I think you too would get along great...she's a riot, just like you! :thumbsup2

They sure are oopsi....they sure are :lovestruc

I do hope your little man is finally feeling better. That poor guy has been sick WAY TOO LONG! :worried: It is so hard to see our normally rambunctious little guys knocked down with illness! Feel better little B! :flower3:

Yes, it is crazy that we live so close and have never met. I would love to do a hippo meet with you and Jill and the girls! :goodvibes I was so excited to hear about the meet in July... until I realized we have family coming in from out of town that day. :faint: I must just keep stalking your threads to find a meet that fits into our schedule. BTW...let me know when you all make it to the zoo sometime. We have a membership, so maybe we could have a quick Zoo-meet sometime? :confused3

I am so game for a Dismeet this summer!!!! :cool1: Saturdays would work best, I do work on Fridays. I have found that if you arrive at mall opening (10 am) the crowds are minimal. We were in the Lego store with only 2 or 3 other families. It was great. I do have to warn you that our Lego store is not as large as the DTD store, but it is still great.

Gabe will be 7 in July. They will get along famously. My Gabe is outgoing as well, and makes friends quickly. There is so much fun for little boys to have at Opry Mills. Let me know when you want to meet up, we can make this work! :thumbsup2

PLEASE Come to Chicago!!! if we can get a few other people we can get a HUGE Dis meet!!!

that would be a BLAST!

I just can't see that happening this year. Brian and I each have little solo weekend trips planned for this summer already, we always take family weekend trips every May and July, plus we are trying to save for our October trip. Maybe we can look at doing a Chicago Dismeet sometime in 2014? :confused3

I would LOVE IT!!!

I know I haven't been updating this PTR as I should, but it just seems that planning for this trip has become such a slow process. :sad1: Every decision seems to be hinged on Brian's bonus in April.

We have made progress with two decisions...one outcome is fun, the other...not so great. I will start with the not so great so that we can end with something fun...

While my cousin is married to an astronaut who has been on SIX space missions for NASA, he is unable to get free or discounted tickets to Kennedy Space Center for us. As it turns out, Nasa does not run the Visitor Center. So, Kennedy is a no go for us.

Now moving on to the fun...We had a family vote a few nights ago at the dinner table to choose which Disney park we wanted our one day visit to be at. We have a family friend who will be able to get us one day park hoppers. So I printed out graphics for each park and everyone got four slips of paper with a graphic for each park on it. I talked to my parents earlier in the day and put their vote in the dish before dinner. Mom, Dad and I voted for Epcot...all four of the others voted for the EXACT SAME PARK! I was very shocked by this. ::yes:: So our park of choice...

MAGIC KINGDOM pixiedust:

Brian said it was the fireworks that clinched it for him. He feels like it isn't a Disney trip without Wishes... :goodvibes

So, then he and I got to talking and decided to price out one day admission to Universal or Sea World. When he gets his bonus in April, we will decide if we can swing it, and then let the children choose. I REALLY hope for Sea World. Or I may price out one day admission for Epcot and add that to the list of choices.

I know that we will be visiting the beach one day while we are there as well. AND we have a totally rockin' pool and pizza party scheduled with one of my bestest Disfriends...Cheekypoppins!

So, the trip is STARTING to take shape. I have started a schedule, but will not post it until some of the holes can be filled in after we get that darn bonus in April.

Bummer about the Kennedy Space Center but Yay for choosing MK. I think that would be the park I would choice if I had to pick one.

I will keep my fingers crossed that Brian's bonus comes in exactly what you are hoping for (or maybe better). :goodvibes Have you guys been to Universal to see the new Harry Potter area? As a huge HP fan, I was awed by that section. As a matter of fact, I took video of the whole section. Here it is if you would like to see it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0sV4lXM6JU

If you look closely, you might catch Jim's big head. He got in my way a few times while I was filming.

Can I just cry, scream, pitch a big fit...anything??? :confused3

Just talked to my mom, who has heard from our family friend who works for WDW...

He can't make any promises about letting us in. See, cast members have to physically be at the gate to let in friends and family members. Well, friend is in charge of ALL of the purchasing and ALL of the delivery logistics for ALL of the food needed for ALL of the chef presentations during the Food and Wine Festival each year. He has to work EVERY DAY while we are there...

Our friend is the kindest most gentle man you will ever meet. We have been friends since I was 10 years old....a LONG time. And he has let me and my folks and many of our friends into the parks more times than I could ever try to calculate. I know that he will do everything in his power to help us, but we just cannot expect it or plan around this thing happening until REALLY close to vacation time.

I have no words right now.

Oh, Oopsi. I am so sorry. :sad1: Ya know, sometimes when it rains it pours. I really do think that something will work out for you. With all this bad news lately you're bound to get some good news soon. Remember, even if you can't do everything you had hoped and planned for, you'll still be spending time with your family and making great memories.

I don't remember if I commented on your last movie night or not, but it looked awesome! The food and decorations looked great. :thumbsup2 Think of all the great memories you are making for your children. I wish I had half of the creativity you do. Can my family join your next movie night??? ;)

I am just stopping by to check on you... I hope everything is OK? I haven't seen you around for a while, and I just wanted to tell you that I am thinking of you and missin' ya!

Thanks everyone for your sentiments and kind thoughts! :flower3: It will all work out somehow, and we will have a wonderful vacation. We are blessed to still be able to go to Florida. We will make the most of WHATEVER happens! :goodvibes

The more the merrier! :dance3: I do need to know about a week in advance how many of you will be joining us so that I can plan accordingly! :thumbsup2

I am doing go D~, thanks for checking. I just haven't had much to report. I have also been pretty busy at work, which steals my Dis-time. :sad2: I have been lurking, but not commenting as much.

Glad to hear you're still around... Hopefully work slows down so you can Dis more. ;)
