Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2025! Updated 1/31/2025

I’m well freakin aware of how stingy they’ve been with CL discounts 😂!! It’s been a harsh few months!

It is clearly taking a shot at random, but it’s the only shot I have. @vinotinto I am likely to take advantage for a future trip also. But for this trip, the group really wants CR, and I really want CL for the weekend, so I won’t be changing if n/a. Sadly!
We'll all be rooting for you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

What’s CL?
For all that’s holy, don’t ever try it. It’s addictive. The discounts were soooo awesome for years, but they seem to have cut those off. I have become a big fan of buying a bottle or two of room wine instead!
We'll all be rooting for you! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
I’m looking forward to acting as the guinea pig!

Absolutely 💯 :rotfl2:
I've legit had to talk myself down from booking full pop CL for the first part of this upcoming trip. Fortunately, the new rates are so ridiculous - 2x the AP rates for a regular room - that I just cannot follow through. I can buy some damn nice wine and dinners for the extra, for goodness' sake.

We need a moment of silence for the demise of the 40% AP discounts for CL. 😶They used to be so plentiful!

Can this occur:

Coming in September on a girls trip. All are listed on reservation, but i am the one who is the main reservation maker holder.
I will be trying to apply a bounceback to 2 visits next year that fall into bounceback dates. Am willing to be flexible.
The Question: One of the girls on the September trip would like to go alone with her son next year. Is she eligible for a bounceback as a listed guest, though not the reservation maker?

Everyone listed on the reservation is eligible for the bounce back option. They can make their own reservations. :)

This is the first time we might try to take advantage of the BB offer. We just checked out on the 5th. Is the 7th day tomorrow or today, need more time as we are still trying to figure out dates.

Also does anyone know which deluxe or deluxe villas are included in the BB? Are they all 35%? Thanks!

Call them today, they will tell you how long you have. It is my understanding that you can change a BB reservation to different dates, pending availability. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct, you can change dates and resorts once you have something booked - based on availability. And it’s up to 35% for deluxe. Most deluxe are 35%, though when I booked, the Poly was not 35%, it was less.

Interesting. Can you share the numbers? My BB CL at GF was also a little less than what I had calculated. I can’t figure out if the discount was a little less than 35% off or if they are charging the $35 per extra adult, starting with our second night (my DD turns 18 on our second night, and while the CM said it counts as she’s 17 for the stay, the total was higher than what I expected).

Like all offers, it depends on dates and resorts. While few rooms are technically excluded (think 3-br villas), in practice, when you call only some are available. You really need to call.

I think you have until tomorrow but I would go ahead and call today. As pp said, you can change, as long as there’s availability.

When I asked about the Poly, it was a 15% discount, but all 12 nights weren’t available so I booked elsewhere. If you see your nightly rate before tax, multiply that by 35%, subtract from the rate and see if it matches. You may need to add tax in after the discount, I believe it’s 12.5%. Could it be possible that all your nights didn’t qualify for the discount?

Sometimes different nights are different prices. For example if you are staying midweek, but then some of your dates go into the weekend, Friday and Saturday nights room rates are traditionally a little bit more $$.

Hey there, thanks! It’s not that; I’ve been booking bouncebacks for years (I’m the OP), and I have always been able to calculate correctly by checking the exact price for each night that is included in the discount, and then adding the tax and the extra adult charges. I also booked another bounceback for a different time period in the same call and that one was exactly what I expected. It’s not a miscalculation. I’m either getting charged the second extra adult for each night after my daughter turns 18 or the discount wasn’t quite 35%.

I’m guessing that even though it’s a package, it is adding the extra adult charge starting with the second night, even though the CM said she’s 17 for the trip since we’re checking in right before. But it would not be the first time a CM is not correct.

I should have looked at your name before I responded! Of course you know how this works! Weird about the extra adult thing - and unfortunately, so true about the CM's. 😊
