Rank the 9 roller coasters at Walt Disney World

Which is the best ride?

Sure. But "family coaster" does not have to mean that. Dwarves is also a family coaster, but it has its moments.

That's not quite what I mean. I don't think anyone in the enthusiast community would claim that Guardians is "not a roller coaster."

Instead what I mean is: Everest has more interesting physical ride profile, while Guardians is the more entertaining experience.

So, how I would rank them depends on what I am being asked. If I am being asked "what's the most exciting roller coaster at WDW" it's Everest. If I am being asked "what's the most fun roller coaster at WDW" it's Guardians.

My fellow coaster dorks put Guardians (well) ahead of Everest. https://coasterbuzz.com/RollerCoasters/Top100

They have the top coasters in Orlando as Velicicoaster followeb by Mako. I haven't been on Sea World's newest yet, but I'd say that's right.

Well, yeah, it's a roller-coaster, it's just a different kind of roller-coaster, and a kind that didn't really exist when the term was coined.

I mean, neither did steel rails, but here we are.

(Pop quiz: Which coaster was the first ever to use tubular steel track?)

This photo shows my impression of Slinky.

I'm the guy in the black Disneyland shirt.

For the wait time it's not worth it.

I know this thread is on page 3 now, but I'm still adding mine ;)

1. Cosmic Rewind
2. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
3. Expedition Everest
4. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
5. Space Mountain
6. Slinky Dog Dash
7. Rock n Roller
8. Tron
9. Barnstormer

Haven't ridden on all of them but my general impression is that Disney rides are designed to appeal to as wide an age range as possible. By most other park standards, Disney 'coasters' seem fairly tame in general based on the ones I have been on. People probably aren't going to Disney looking for the most extreme coasters. Roller coaster enthusiasts looking for the taller/faster experience are more likely to go to one of the Kings Island parks or somewhere similar for that sort of experience.

That is definitely true. Disney coasters are more about theming and experience than sheer thrills. A couple of them are big-boy coasters (Rock'n, Incredicoaster in DCA), but mostly they are relatively tame. Personally, I prefer the show to the extreme thrills, but that's why I'm a Disney guy.

I'll add...

1) GoG
2) Expedition Everest
3) RnR
4) Tron
5) Slinky
6) Space Mountain
7) Big Thunder
8) 7DMT
9) Barnstormer
